Please pick one guys
I've read all over and only anecdotal reports so far; but the boot loop hardware failure is even more unsettling for those of us with no warranty or who may be without warranty soon
I'm hoping this helps everyone in buying, deciding to move on to a new model maybe just at least help the hysteria that we've been having here and all over the other popular Android
The poll is anonymous
Also it may not show up in a apps like Tapatalk.... You'll need to view in a web browser
Thanks in advance

Sample is small now but hopefully will get much bigger
Good poll.
The lack of votes could be due to the poll not showing up for users using apps like Tapatalk. I had to go to the 'Web view' and log into the website in order to vote.
Canada, Bell H812 506, purchased July 2015. no severe issues as of yet (had the missed touches for the first few weeks of ownership but that seems fixed for me since then)

Refers to the first 3 of serial number.
I'm H815 sn 506 and haven't had any hardware problems ( knocking on my head) to date. Got my G4 in August last year.
Seems like all models can be affected so far.
So it's either you get lucky with the g4... Or you die :crying::crying:
I wonder if it's j just a matter of time before it shows up on the nexus 5x and the v10
The g4 has been my best smartphone experience by a huge margin. I've taken thousands of pics since I got mine in August.
The seller I got if from still claims that no one has tried to return any defective models to
This fiasco has given me a bittersweet feeling about being an early adopter of anything in the future. It's the guys who excitedly bought at launch that have the highest risk of failure; and lots of us on this side of the Atlantic bought from grey market sellers as that's the only way to get an unlocked h815 here as far as I know
very interresting poll !
with all threads everywhere about this bootloop problem , i principaly see (at 90 % and more) that 505 serie of h815 (and variants) +all US variants are concerned .
BUT i see somewhere just a member or two who have said that the concerned series of h815 are 505 to 508 (june to september2015) ===>>> this assertion have been repeated many times until now !
....and a member have said that it's near all series.
what's the truth ?
For me ,i have a h815 number 506 and no problem until now .i would want to test customs, kernels,MM rooted.....i have the possibility to unlock my bootloader....but i'm very affraid !!!! and really want to preserve my warranty for that .
that's why this poll is very very important for to know if i take the risk to unlock my devise...
My brother has a g4, we both got them the day they came out. His has the bootloop issue, mine has been fine. So there:what:

Hello all,
I just bought a Galaxy S5 and did some authenticity checking on it. I expected the G900F version since I live in Europe (Romania). It seems that it is the G9006V version. I chatted with a Samsung representative and he told me based on the IMEI that this is the case. I also checked out the download mode and it said the same. Antutu gave it a score of 50483 and says it has a Qualcomm 801 chipset, so at least it seems to be genuine.
I have the option of getting a refund. My question is, do I have any reason to? Are there any downsides to the Chinese version? It does have Google Play, I've read that mentioned as missing. It also came with Android 5, or so it says in the device info screen, and cannot be upgraded to a later version. Does the European version get a newer one? Will mine be able to get updates too?
P.S. The About Device Screen / Model Number displays "SM-G900F" and under Build Number there is a section called "United Arab Emirates". When I went into an info screen in the S Health app I got a screen of text in Arabic... This is weird, does it have any bearing on the software on my phone and the possibility to upgrade it in the future?
Where did you buy it? Unfortunatly this appears to be another case of a falsely labeled G900F

I ordered it from evomag.ro, a fairly reputable local webshop. I'm not aware of the story with the falsely labeled phones, could you please fill me in? Especially regarding how it affects me as a user?

Well to be honest dont buy this try zuk z1 or z2.This phone has lot of bugs till date.Heating, screen burn etc.Never heard zuk z1 problem as my frnd uses it.Zuk is a good phone.
Thanks bro i will consider this
Xiaomi Redminote 3 Pro , snapdragon processor and lot of custom roms.
Unfortunately, having used the Moto g4 plus for a month, I'll have to agree to the posts above.
And if the frequent bugs wasn't bad enough, the phone has some serious heating and ghost touch issues, with some even reporting screen burn (which is particularly bad considering moto g4 was launched in May, so the screen burn had to happen between then and now).
Plus, if that weren't enough, there's the after sales service and tech support, if only, to add insult to injury. Post - buyout by Lenovo, Motorola mobility's once lauded support has nosedived to being equivalent of squabbling with an eBay seller 'specializing' in cheap knockoffs.
I got no heating issues, no lag, no screen burn in (didn't take the latest update) and consistently 7 hours of screen on time per charge.
I can't believe I almost spent 800 euros on the s7 edge, while the 250 that the g4 cost me give me anything I need and more.
I don't play games. If you play games, don't go for this processor.
Moto (owned by Lenovo) has the worst service centers
If your phone got damaged two days after the purchase, you've to call amazon for return and they will tell you to arrange a dead-on-arrival certificate. When you go to the service center for DOA, they will tell you they can't do that for Amazon. When you tell this to the Amazon they'll tell you they are helpless without DOA. Pure case of cheating.
And also the newer phones coming from Amazon are manufactured in Tamilnadu, India, which has the worst build quality and a yellowish screen.
Both are on my experience. My 3 days old phone is at the service center as the finger print and network stopped working.
Thanks guys for ur reply
Hey guys,
So last week I bought a note 4 off eBay. My last note 4 was lost on a night out in September (21st, never forget ) so I have been using my s4 ever since. I miss the size and display of the note 4, hence i bought a new one.
Here's the link:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282075151295
My last note 4 was the SM-N910F,which I also purchased from eBay (UK seller, it was an auction). The note 4 that i bought last week also claims to be an SM-N910F, the European/international version. The seller is Chinese and has sold a good few of these, he also has great feedback (see link). The phone is said to be brand new, in original box with all OEM accessories. I was feeling a bit iffy, I don't know why, in the days after I bought it so I messaged the seller asking about the authenticity etc. Part of the reply worried me:
". . . . . . . . . . I would like to remind you again, our Note 4 is 100% original from Samsung, but please note that our Note 4 is USA model + software unlocked(Rooted), as described in our item specific . . . . . . . . . ."
Now in the item description, the model number is SM-N910F, and not one of the American models, like SM-N910V or SM-N910A. But the seller says it an American version. So there's that. Also the seller says that the software is "unlocked(rooted)". This is my main concern. Is the seller simply trying to tell me that the phone is unlocked, or is he telling me that he has taken the phone out of the box, rooted it and flashed some kind of custom ROM on it? Just take a quick look at the link and have a look at it on ebay and tell me what you think.
Many thanks.
I do not trust these so called sellers selling "brand new" phones. The phone is brand new and already rooted? Its a US model claiming to be a European model?
Let me tell you what you bought...you bought a refurbished phone (refurbished in China) and because the US models are less wanted than the EU models (lack of Hotspot) they sell these as EU models to increase the price.
These refurbished phones are "brand new" but are in reality refurbished with cheap clone parts from China. Its big business in China. I bought a Note 2 like this...after 2 months I had touchscreen problems and the 3G is not working...
Download the app phone info, it will give you the manufacturing date (mainboard), model number and a lot more if your phone is rooted. It will also tell you if its a V, F, or A model...
You can simply go to download mode and check the real model of the device.. i also bought one the seller claimed it's N910F everything looked okay but when i went to download mode it was N910S (sprint) immediately i returned the device to the seller and received my refund..

I've recently been getting into unlocking Samsung phones for family, friends, and, of course, myself using Odin. Up to a couple of weeks ago, I thought the process was pretty straightforward: find the firmware (it's been easy for the last 4 phones I tried, although 2 were Note 9s, one was an S8, and the other was a Note 8), but over the summer, I was asked if I could unlock a Note 4 (apparently it's att locked), but I cannot find any firmware that's not carrier-locked. I tried all the websites I know and the only ones that claimed to have the firmware were sketchy ones (t'least they looked sketchy to me) that asked me to fork over ~50 bucks (US). The phone is currently dead, and charging (I forgot to turn it off last I checked its specs), but I will edit this post/reply to it the second it charges a decent amount.
Ok so it's running Android 6.1 and the Firmware is:
AP: N910AUCS2EQF1
CP: N910AUCS2EQF1
CSC: N910AATT2EQF1
No lol. Samsung only began making unbranded firmware for the US with the S7. Get a international model.
