Bluetooth Issues on LineageOS 15.1 to my headphone - LineageOS News & Discussion

The phone connects to my Bluetooth LEVEL U headphone on note 3 n9005, media working, but in-call sound is completely unclear and very noisy and or muted on both ends.
Is there any way to fix it?

install s4 rom on s5??

I have a BMW X3 and a Samsung S5.
The phone isn't officially supported by the car's multimedia system so I'm looking for a work around.
I've installed Cyanogenmod ver. CM11 which has fixed the intermittent Bluetooth connection issues but I'd like the car's multimedia system to read email messages which worked fine on my older Blackberry devices.
I think I've narrowed down the issue to a Message Access Profile (MAP) issue between BMW and Samsung.
BMW confirms that the S4 is compatible so now my options are to flash a S4 rom onto my S5 or to figure out how to enable full support of Message Access Profile (MAP) on the S5/BMW.
Suggestions?
Whatever you do do not flash an S4 rom it will probably brick your phone!:good:
It says here that the S5 supports MAP.
Here's some google links of relevance

Verizon doesn't seem to know what it is http://vz.to/1mIJkeJ and tries to shift focus on to Samsung to evade answering the question. Lol
PS. a video about map
PPS. wrong section, should be in Q&A

Bluetooth Car Issues

I have a strange problem in regards to the Bluetooth connecting to my car.
I have a Freelander 2 2011 registration. The phone connects fine to the car. The problem arises when I am on a phone call. Periodically whilst on a phone call (there appears to be no pattern) for no reason the phone would disconnect from the car. The phone call is still active (but now through the phone earpiece) and I need to tell the devices to connect to each other again and the phone call then resumes through my car speakers.
The strange thing is that I have monitored the connection when not on a call and it does not appear to disconnect at all.
I never once had this occur on my iPhone and I really like this phone but this problem is driving me mad.
Any solutions or recommendations?
Thanks

I had a similar issue with BT music, it would send to many requests, overload and stop/restart. There was an app that fixed it by deleting the data/cache that was building up but it required root and can't recall what it was called atm but if I find it, I'll post a link. That being said, a quick google search can probably give you the answer as well.
Im on exynos. No issues with BT in car whatsoever.
I have the same problem, the BT disconnects from the car during calls for no reason and then tries to reconnect again. Never happened with any of my other devices, including S6 Edge... really hope Samsung comes up with a solution, this is very annoying.
Just had this from Samsung
Dear Mr Murray
Just to update, I can confirm that this problem has been replicated within internal testing and our team are currently taking log-files for review to understand what could be the cause to then move towards identifying a resolution.
I am continuing to monitor and will update further as soon as I am able.

Not worried, as his name is all over the internet. He seams to the sort of guy that sorts problems quickly.
Many thanks to him for doing a good Job.
He is not the sort to do as you suggest.
Dave
Same issue here with a 2016 Volvo. Good to read Samsung already replicated it, let's hope for a quick fix
I have the same issue in my 2013 Volvo C30 T5. Really annoying, if anyone finds a solution please share it here. Thank you.
I think I found a solution, go to app manager -> click more (upper right) -> click reset app preferences. Didn't have any problem in last 2 days.

Where to enable a specific bt function in the code?

Hi,
I have to know where to point my developer at.
When I connect my old ohone (moto g3/LineageOS) to my car, it recognize it as a phone and I can handle calls from my car.
but it seams on my current phone (LG G6/same LineageOS version&build date), this function is not enabled. The car connects but It sees just a media device, so I have no access to the phone functionality.
It must be a flag or something.... where in the code do I enable it?
thanks

Also having the same issue with my phone running latest Lineage OS. Trying to connect to my trucks Bluetooth. It's a Uconnect system. Plays music fine but can't make phone calls.
Even though I'm a big fan of AOSP, I suggest you to stick with official Samsung's firmware.
However, if you really want a fix, perhaps you should talk to LOS dev.
All best

Although you may be able to restore the bluetooth pairings on your s7 , your headphones may not connect directly unless pairing mode is activated on it .
Samsung cloud backs up the bluetooth pairings . So, switching samsung roms should be fine subject to above.
This is also a link I found, Haven't tested it . You can give it a try with some other bluetooth device with working pair probably to test.
