[Q] USB Massive storage driver

Hello
I just got this phone
I thought that just by pluging it to my pc (windows 7) and selecting usb massive storage it would work, but it doesn't
Do I need a specific driver installed on window? If so.. Where do I find it?
I tried installing Kies, but that didn't help

You have to mount SDCard in Notification area.
Mass Storage mode does not need special drivers.

Trying to install the drivers from the previous reply throws an error (I have windows 7 64 bits)
And.. activating usb from the notification area actually works for usb mass storage mode

Download and install the latest kies version from samsung site or just update the one in your PC online. If it still does not work, use the driver recovery option in kies.

I feel like a newbie here..
Even when the Kies installation throws an error, it detected my phone after several minutes.
How is this application useful? I can do most of the things (like transfer files) without it.
And even on the development forum they don't use it for upgrading!

[Q] winxp only sees ptp mode (camera)

Hi:
i unlocked and rooted yesterday using wugs..worked fine.
today, after spending hours trying to get MTP to work, i see that only PTP is recognized. while in PTP mode, XP will only display pic folder and dcim folder;
i cannot navigate to anything else on N7
ive tried ::
de bugging on / off ..
uninstalled android adb interface and different drivers for XP..from the asus site
i cannot get to install as mtp device.
N7 device says its connected as a media device.
ive googled and read all threads i could find here..
i dont know what im missing..
any help is greatly appreciated..

EDIT:: partially solved.. searched hard.. did everything suggested.. i dont know why or how but MTP is enabled now..
still no USB storage device tho..

Access denied while updating USB Driver

Hi guys! Got a big problem. It seems that recently i cannot connect my android devices (Galaxy Note 2 and Nexus 7) on my laptop. It was working properly before dont know the problem now. I've tried uninstalling the driver but it seems it can't be uninstalled as it is still there when i click on properties. Tried to update the driver but is always showing me this error.. I am logged in as admin and no other user accounts on this laptop. I dont know what to do. Tried other alternatives such as system restore, reboot laptop and android device. enabled/disabled usb debugging, selected MTP/PTP connection but to no avail. Please help me guys.

Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device
Windows found drivers software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.
MTP USB Device
Access Denied.

hello!
i am currently also experiencing the same problem. it appears to be the PC's fault. i tried plugging it into my laptop and it works. But here in my PC, my device can't be read, nothing pops up and windows can not install the driver like you said.
could anyone please come up with something? thanks

Ceck in internet the ultimate driver release and install.

Hi, for everyone who's still interested, apparently this works:
1. Open CMD as an Administrator
2. Type: net localgroup Administrators local service /add
3. Hit Enter.
4. Install drivers

Computer will not find nexus 6p

when i put the phone on my laptop its not showing, i picked storage or photo but its not showing any folder, nothing in my pc. Windows 10
It was working for about 5 min then it stoped again

Drivers. Check different ports. Restart computer and phone. Make sure usb debugging is on. Basically troubleshoot.

Still not working, my nexus 6 works fine....
Is there a driver just for this phone or do you mean adb ? I just use the google universal drivers.

only works when i enable development mode

did you install Google Android SDK? i suggest install that, which wil solve most driver issues

USB driver oneplus 6t on Windows 8.1

i've the problem, that the oneplus USB driver didn't work on Windows 8.1.
Hast onyone an Idea what i can do?

Manually add the driver it should work

Install the proper USB driver pack for your computer! You can download it from here! I think this web have the guide for it.
