I was supplying additional information. Apparently you aren't familiar with google phones and the fact they are almost 100% unlockable.

Yeah, I guess I'm not familiar with people having issues unlocking the bootloader on refubs because they tend to be Verizon models.

You should have asked them to unlock the phone in the store for you. for a fee!
you should have got it unlocked with a fee from docomo store.

Thanks for the info bud didn't that website to mention anything about DOCOMO in Japan. Its funny since they have listed ARC as "X10 arc".
I don't even have non-accepted SIM so far though, does it really ask to unlock SIM? I heard that there were some cases in the past the UI to unlock is disabled. can anyone confirm if SO-01C certainly have one to unlock it?

IIRC the announcement from SE to unlock the bootloader requires the SIM unlock or targets the unbranded phone.

I hope by the time of bootloader code release, there will be some great developers on section to help everyone with that. Best developers for this particular matter will be Dev @ X10 since they know the system and trick already. Maybe we can ask Jerplea to help us out?

From what @alsaqr said, they will charge a fee like $32 and unlock it. Doesn't hurt to find out there. I bet there is solution for this @ Docomo. What you need is an insider,.

When you bought it doesn't matter unfortunately but the release date. so they will support unlocking Xperia acro but not arc.
Do you think it will be hard to unlock the bootloader for this phone on Verizon?
Thank you

Blame LG keyboard on the G Pro lol. A lot of people use there phones now days when away from computer to post here lol
Not sure why everyone wants the bootloader unlocked, I mean right now there is no reason to do so at all. And on top of that my last 3 phones this year have had locked bootloaders, but that didn't stop me from using international Roms, or Roms in general cause of Loki support or whatever its called lol

I'm curious as well about Loki. I'm not sure if it relies on the snapdragon 600 chipset or if its a baseband thing. May be something to look into. I'm not familiar enough with it.
Myself- I would be more than happy if loki works on our devices. Please, LG, let it work!
edit:
~just did a quick search... Loki relies on the Qualcomm APQ8064T.. or snapdragon 600 per Dan himself. dang.
Edit 2:
The 'other' LG devices it works on dont all have the 600.. so again, its possible. Hrm...
Possible unless Qualcomm fixed the exploit on the 800s

I used to have Sprint and I should have stayed because even though development was slow for that particular phone at least there was development. How are we doing with unlocking the bootloader for the Note 3 or will we be doomed to ROMS that are stripped down versions of TouchWiz for the rest of our Note 3 lives?
Yes
I'm doing just fine without an unlocked bootloader. Would be nice to have it unlocked. There's plenty of development going on. A lot of people who bought a Dev edition note 3 ending up selling it including myself.

all i know is i wasnt using the dev to its potential, so i just sold it.
Will there be any soon?
I just ordered the official US variant, and was hoping to root ASA(O)P
You can't expect it to be a factory image out already of we haven't got our hands on the us model device. Patience is key. Give it time to get the devs rolling in.

Seems that way, also seems like 90% of us are going to return it unless they change their ways.
I'm still undecided yet but I would like some opinions on whether it's a good swap or not.

I think the G6 is better. But it's up to you. What matters to you the most? Then pick the device that fits better.
On a pure monetary sense however, you'd be losing money in that trade. That might be important to you or not. You don't have to win on every trade as long as you're happy.
Evol on:
swap pls swap fast..
Evil off!
Similar decision for me, went for G6 and am very happy, love the design more than the S7, am very happy thus far.

Keep the LG G6
There is a chance to have a burned screen with the S7 Edge because of the AMOLED screen. That's one big reason why I hate AMOLED.
So stay with your G6 ?

If you care about unlocking bootloader or rooting yoir device then go and get s7 other than that keep your g6
