Kernel Android 9.0.0 - Xiaomi Mi A1 Questions & Answers

Hello, which kernel do you recommend for Pixel Experience ROM official with overclocking CPU/GPU feature? I tried eXtreme kernel 12.1 but after that I was not able to connect my device to PC, it does not recognize device. Before I use eXtreme 12.0 kernel on unofficial Pixel Experience ROM and I did not have this problem so I do not know whether it is problem of kernel or not. Thank you for help.

Moun Kernel is the best I think. It is stable, have a bunch of cool features and also has OC to 2.2ghz. Definitely worth to try.

Try extreme kernel v13 beta (keep in mind that it'll only work with roms based on linux 4.9)

[Q] best kernel to use with PA?

Can someone recommend me a good custom kernel to use with ParanoidAndroid ROM 4,6 (android 4.4.4)... On previous ROM I used hellscore kernel and I was very satisfied... But its not available for PA rom...
Thank you!!!
Don't use pa but don't understand why you cannot use the latest version b63 (not the l version) with pa ? Hells kernel works with all 4.4.4 ROMs,so what's the problem?
Tapatyping from my Nexus 4
Hellscore has 2 or 3 different versions, depending on the revision. CM/CAF, AOSP, and in newer revisions one for the L developer preview. Make sure you're flashing the correct one.
Other than Hellscore, there are several other kernels to try. "Best" is a matter of opinion and personal use. Try them all and find out which one works best for you. Just do a back-up first.

Best OnePlus 2 ROM & Kernel

Hi Guys,
I'm planning to buy a OnePlus 2 soon, and I would require a bit of help from you guys to customize it. I'm not a noob, but I just want to know the following:
Which is the best ROM for the OnePlus 2 (based on the mentioned below)
The rom should be based of Marshmallow 6.0.1 and stable
The ROM should support the fingerprint scanner and laser focus
All the other features and gestures that are in the Stock ROM
Which is the best Kernel for the OnePlus 2 (based on the mentioned below)
Supports Fast charging
Has a good battery backup
Has the best governors
And all the other best features you look out for in a kernel
I am confused between these two kernels, Sandy Kernel and Benschholds Custom Kernel. I want to know the performance of both the custom Kernels and would also like to know whether Benschholds Kernel supports Fast Charge as that of Sandy Kernel.
I request all the members of the OnePlus 2 community to please help me as I will be new to the device and do not know much about the Custom ROMs and Kernels posted in the OnePlus 2 threads. I would appreciate everyone's time and help for the same. Thanks in advance to everyone.
I'd say H2OS MM (or OOS 3) is the only ROM that meets those demands. Especially if you need dual SIM control like I do. That's not present in AOSP/CM based ROMs.
Most of the ROMs are based on cyanogenmod so they give a similar performance. Never tried AOSP based ROMs. Lord Boeffla kernel has been doing some good. I used naman balla's settings for the kernel was giving like around 5 hrs of SOT. For the fast charging, the hardware has to support it else you may end damaging your device.
I never used other ROM's than stock ROMs. If it will be available i will change to CM13 official ROM refined by Lord Boefflas Kernel. I use it since S3-times and then on my OPO and now on my OP2. I never saw a kernel like this, very convenient in handling with it's own comfortable app and rock-stable with very pleasant battery consumption... In short: boeffla kernel rocks!!!
Cheers

HydrogenOS H2OS v1.4.0 [004] +gapps nano the best
Had you followed the rules you would know that there is no best anything. It is all up to how you use the device and your personal setup. You could have 2 devices on the same rom and kernel and they will react differently depending on usage, devices, place you live and many other things.

possible replacement for Boeffla Kernel when upgrading to a cm14 based ROM

I am currently using Boeffla Kernel (3.3 Beta 1 atm) with ResurrectionRemix 5.7.4 (atm Blackjubel's 20161012 build) and I am very happy with it. I have slightly overclocked my G900F to 2.6GHz, I have NTFS support, I can activate UMS Mode, if I want (one of the greatest features recently added) there are lots of governors with many different options and I could continue to rave about this kernel but as soon as the XPosed Framework gets it's first working version for Android 7, I will upgrade (if possible to Resurrection Remix, but there is already a great working version of AICP for the KLTE) and LordBoeffla already announced, that he won't continue his kernel for the KLTE with CM14. This is really sad, but no reason to stay with CM13.
What I wanted to ask you with this long and badly written text: has anyone here on XDA an idea, which kernel I could possibly install together with a CM14 based ROM if I want OC features, different governors, NTFS support and possibly also UMS Mode to stay?
Thanks in advance
Colin

Best custom rom + kernel currently?

Thinking about switching from cloudy 3.3 to a custom rom.
Is the cm13 the best now or is there something similar or better?
Also, what kernel should i be using if i decide to switch?
You can try CM13 based Roms as well.
I'm on MIUI8 Rom right now which looks really nice! And it has some useful tools you can only find on MIUI Roms. But...it has got a few bugs which developer is always trying to fix them but well...they might be annoying for some people!
You can also try some CM13 builds which are bug-free and smoother but...it's pure Android so no special tool. It's up to you
But I'm pretty sure that Lambda kernel is the best kernel to use on CM/AOSP based Roms. You may want to give it a try.

Kernel Suggestions?

So I'm at xiaomi eu MIUI 12.0.1 and i feel the ram management is not normal and i don't know what kernel i should use so if you can kindly suggest me a kernel it'll help
Most of the time i use it for gaming if that helps
Kernel Syggestion for RN7
Kernels
( A small reminder before you flash anything, read the Kernel's compatibitlity info )
Predator Stormbreaker
MengT
Rain
Notkernel
Clarity
Jelly
Barairo
Here you go sir.
I personally have go down with the Predator Stormbreaker its really a nice kernel and it had zero conflicts with Lineage os.
I've tried multiple kernels including Agni and Predator Stormbreaker, and I really would recommend MengT for performance, battery life and system ui smoothness. It's slightly less updated but it is pretty darn good. All in all its trial and error
If you're a fan of EAS then Agni kernel for gaming & battery (OC UV) (recommended), OLK-reloaded v5 stable for over all normal performance, Predator for stability but less features (if you're a gamer, i won't recommend it)
