[Q] Stuck Android logo only

Hi Folks
My tab only stuck Android logo, ask for password. i enter password then again comes android logo and nothing
I tried hard reset combination. but none worked for me. is there any solution to this problem ?
a solid hard reset combination ? or a rom which will recover my device from this state ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you'll need to try to do a factory wipe from recovery and then flash a zip of the stock rom (which you'll need to copy to your SD card)
Did forget your own password or buy this one hot?

Trying to factory wipe by following some hard reset manual but none worked for me.
No, password i know still i can enter.
Trying to restore with Update or Full package.
Acer_A500_0.000.00_4.017.07_EMEA_CUS7_1311771237783_253e5e46.zip
Acer_A500_0.000.00_4.010.42_EMEA_GEN3_1311244577711_036d89ae New.zip
Tried with this 2 files, but none worked yet.

Did you try a full wipe of the tablet? Hold down the volume up key and the power button until the tablet vibrates. Release the power button while still holding the volume up key, and slide the screen lock button (next to the volume up key) to the right and then back to the left.
The screen should display 'Erasing Userdata', you can then release the volume key. It should then erase the cache, Acer says it can take 5-10 minutes to complete. The tablet should then reboot, and you may be able to get in from the stock settings.
If the tablets hangs at 'Erasing Cache' for more than 15 minutes, force a power down by holding in the power key. The try the power/volume/lock routine again.

What doesn't work exactly? Did you get an error during installation? Or was installation successful but the problem still exists?

Tried exactly same as u said, it shows "Erasing cach before sd update" then it brings recovery icon. nothing........

Installation was 80% but not success........ stuck @ Recovery logo

anyone else with any other idea? m still stuck......

I have the same issues. I have tried installing new roms, and still get the same issues. Any ideas would be great

Milestone 2 won't turn on at all.

When I try to turn it on, nothing happens.
I have tried reflashing the sbf and every thing.
I have also tried turning it on while holding 'X' still nothing happens.
Nothing Works.
Any help is appreciated.

You may trial hold @ when turning on, and after shows the "!" you hold the volume butons with câmera, then you clean dalvik cache.
It's works with me.

You have to hold X when turning on your phone until exclamation mark is showing on your screen, then press volume up + volume down and clean data and cache partition. After it turn your phone normally.

I Tried that nothing happened.

I can't even Get out into bootloader mode.

Which sbf have you flashed ?

The correct one for my device which has worked in the past.

You can try to flash stock uk gb sbf and if it gets bootloop then wipe data and cache in stock recovery.

I might try that, because nothing else is working.

I fixed it by flashing the uk sbf. Thanks for everyones help.

[Q] Defy keeps trying software reset but doesn't succeed

I got a Motorola defy and tried to do a factory reset under settings -> security -> factory reset.
Since then, everytime I boot up the phone it starts doing this reset but it never finishes. I even updated the whole firmware with a new one and after I booted, it keeps trying to do this reset.
Is there any way to stop it?

How should I do that? I can't get into recovery mode. I tried Power + VolDown but it always gets me into that resetting mode. When I push Power + VolUp I come to a boot loader where I can flash a new firmware. I did that as I said but it doesn't alter the situation.

try switching off the phone and hold volume down button... now connect the charger... it should be able to get into recovery mode :good: and if success do a wipe data, cache :angel:

Doesn't work. With no volume button or VolDown it goes straight to the reset process. Now the battery is almost empty and it seems that it doesn't charge in bootmenu mode (Power + VolUp) which is the only mode I can enter.
I'm beginning to hate this device.. Is there any other way to get into the bootloader or stop the reset mode and boot normal?

All i did was restart the phone, than realized it wouldn't boot up! its stuck at the att page. Ive trying to go manually reboot it several times. took out the battery that didn't work either. I rooted it again nope that didn't work. It wont go to recovery mode! (Hold Home Button + Power + Up) just turns off. I'm desperate please help. Should I just return it?

Can you get in download mode ? Volume down +power+home button If so flash a stock fw with odin

omg weird! I took out my 64gb card and it allowed me to go to recovery mode! What should i do next?

Go back out and go into download mode (vol down + home + power) and flash stock fw

If wipe data doesn't work, look for a stock rom compatible with your device and carrier, and flash it using odin.

Friend, I had the same problem like you. The difference is that my phone could connect through Odin. I revive it as showed in my post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41195930#post41195930

simply go to download mode and flash stock firmware for ur phone using odin

Screen Orientation Bug

Hi Guys, my p9 lite has been behaving differently today.
I've set the screen 'Auto Rotate' to off and all my apps open in landscape mode. Has anyone encountered this problem? Is this a software or hardware issue? Hope someone can help. Thanks

I just tried it out on my P9 Lite but I don't have such issue, have you tried to switch on again the auto rotate?

I just bought mine, and after a day of use the 'auto rotate'stop working. I tried a Hard Reset after reading in internet that this issue could be fixed with this method, but it didn't wokr for me. Now I don't know what to do ((

Probably it's a hardware issue, if you return your device they should replace it

I was having this problem too. Just fixed it by powering off the phone and then holding volume up + power. Let the phone boot into Huawei's recovery screen, then wipe cache and reboot. Give it a try?

mine goes straight to software update when i try to enter into recovery mode... any suggestions?

Maybe try adb reboot recovery
Mine started acting up again so I switched to CM13...
