The best custom ROM for SM-J320FN for daily use? - Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) Questions & Answers

Hi Guys!
I have a question. I'm totally not into custom roms and stuff. My question is - which is the best custom ROM for daily use for SM-J320FN for now? The only things I need: the ROM needs to be stable, very easy to use, just like a normal Android, it should be based on some newer versions of Android (now I have 5.1.1) and most importantly - I expect the ROM to make my phone faster. My phone became very laggy recently. I'm really not into phones so I want to avoid lots of additional troubles after installing any kind of ROM. I want to install it and use it without worries from the first day. What would you recommend?
Thank you very much!

I recommend RR N. Clean Android, no Samsung bloatware, more internal storage space than stock ROM and highly customizable.
Its only cons are small problems with Wifi and hotspot.
If you prefer Samsung Experience ROM's I recommend Re DreamUX ROM for you. But that ROM has more bugs (like qs and notification panel drop screen flickering or setting password FC).

Flash ROM or not

Hello !
I hesitate if I flash a ROM or not. Should I install a CUSTOM ROM or stay STOCK version? What are the advantages and disadvantages of the ROM that you have installed?
Happy new year!
The only disadvantage really is that by rooting you lose warranty forever.
To me warranty is important so I don't want to root it.
If for you isn't, root, flash custom Tom and kernel and enjoy no rubbish apps, better battery, and more options to customise your mobile.

Best rom don't exist, if someone is looking for a best rom just need to flash all roms and decide which rom suits his needs better, no one can tell you what rom will work better for you.

I am using Dirty Unicorn currently and I think it is a nice rom with features that I like. Before DU, I was using Turbo rom and that was a nice rom with features that I liked then. Before that (and in between sometimes even now) I switch to Nuclearom because it is not overtly feature-ridden and has a nice balance of everything. I used to use Resurrectionremix as well because that was what I used to like in my previous devices. I thought it was cool too. Also cm13 nightlies and snapshots.
Bottomline: I think when you declare one rom as the best, it is disservice to the developers and users of other roms because it might demotivate them. Because of the choices, choosing rom is subjective and you should find out for yourself which works for you or stick with the stock if none does. I don't think you achieve anything even if one rom is declared the best because there are still users and developers of other roms who don't agree with you. A new user should just stumble upon the one he/she likes best from his/her experiences. Just my 2 cents.
Nuclear Rom 7.1 is best choice for me...
So, according to the current results, the most popular is one of the most buggy roms..
Right. Truly reliable.
Why can i not vote on the poll?
Lineage os 14.1 I think is the stable for daily use battery life up to one day approx
mokee rom-71.1 ham , No bugs, And its branf new nougat
LineageOS 14.1 nightly - using since 1 week almost stable for daily usage but found some Bugs -
1. Cyanogen Camera app got broken after enabling power shutter [but fixed after clearing data]
2. Sound recorder broke [but fixed after clearing data]
3. AOSP Browser is sluggish
4. Settings app gets crashed so often [but doesn't create a big problem]
Apart from this everything works well as of now with very amazing battery life & smooth UI.

Many new roms have come, Can you please update the rom list in PoLL.
What would be really interesting is to compare the features and characteristics of the ROMs. What does each ROM offer. What is unique for each ROM. How much battery life you get per ROM etc etc. Because one shouldnt install and operate all ROMs just to understand what we are talking about

Main features are written in each rom thread. Additional features are added often weekly,so comparison is quite difficult.
You can provide such a test if you want :good:

What is your experience with Treble Roms?

Are you using one right now? Which one? Do you like it over your device's own roms?

Personal question for those who own a Sony device:
Have you gotten Pie roms running?
I'm currently running rros by openkirin on my honor 9. So much quicker and cleaner than the stock rom, all my issues with emui have gone. Only thing lacking for me is nfc
Some things are broken like hotspot. I recommend Roms like cr pie and cnp. Way better

In my opinion the rom with the best user experience for this device is the Unofficial Resurrection Remix.
It also has undervolting to use less battery and heat
i prefer official lineage OS instead of stock rom
lighter, less bloatware, and easy customization

It is worth to flash custom ROM?

Hey guys I just got this phone and I'm wondering if it's worthy flashing a custom ROM like Pixel Experience?
I'm asking this cause on some of my older phones like Xperia Z3, flashing a custom ROM breaks some stuff like camera (making the quality of the photos so poor) and I even heard that on this device it will break fingerprint or even Android Auto!
This three are critical for me, so do you guys recommend flashing Pixel Experience or simply root and debloat MIUI as I did with Sony"s software?
I just want my phone to perform as stable as possible with no extra features that I don't use at all.
Thanks in advance.

I have tried quite a few ROMs and, to be honest, unless you can't stand MIUI, I'd stay with the official ROM, debloated but not rooted. Fingerprint will work better, you'll be able to use Google Pay without hassles, and to be honest MIUI is so full of features that you won't miss much. MIUI is not my cup of tea, but it has improved tremendously over the years and it's now bearable.
i debloated and i use the weekly eu builds
I use the Evolution x rom, Everything works fine from what i can tell, including camera and fingerprint. I Like the customization Options that the custom Rom gives me.
I don't use Google Auto or Pay tho.

what do you need to "debloat" on the eu release? oO
so me2 , i'm on weekly beta from xiaomi.eu and i'm pretty happy with it (not exactly with the one from friday .. i think the battery drain went up -.-)
i don't see any need to switch, to a other custom rom.
