In my opinion the rom with the best user experience for this device is the Unofficial Resurrection Remix.
It also has undervolting to use less battery and heat

i prefer official lineage OS instead of stock rom
lighter, less bloatware, and easy customization

Rom to choose

Hello i want to flash a new rom on my phone for a change.
Tell me what you are running the pros and cons and tell me if you suggest it
I am now running on AOPK 4.4.2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2577191
With unolocked bootloader
Rooted (rom has su binary preinstalled)
On Doomkernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2345567
I would like a 4.4 rom
Unlocked or locked bootloader
Root access of course
And preferably running with doomkernel
Thank you.
i have a SP with UBL and i flashed Vanir AOSP rom since January 6 with "in-rom" kernel. Recently i flashed NayakKernel v0.3.
its fast, good battery drain, and very stable for daily use. Have a little bugs like others KitKat roms but is the most suitable for my daily use.
Try and then tell us what you think

VanirAOSP rom is really fast, and has great battery life.
I have no crashes or FC. since I installed it, the only problem I had was that the screen became totally unresponsive and I had to do a reset. But just one time…
Sometimes the screen does not respond to touch if it is in a horizontal position on the table, and i need to pick it up ...but I think it is a SP bug and not a ROM bug…. Or not!?
I charge the battery overnight (100%), i make and receive calls and sms, read the news, personal and corporate email, check the XDA forum many times :laugh::laugh:, facebook, Google +, 3 or 4 lightweight games (almost never play), some youtube videos for my baby, do not usually listen music, and have google location disabled. Usually I end the day with 40-50% of battery,
Is always connected to the internet. At home and at work have WIFI always on. If WIFI is OFF, 3G is connected.
For my daily use, this is the best kitkat based rom for xperia SP, with a very good performance and lite features. I'm very happy and satisfied with this ROM, and i'm waiting the new version (and changelog) to update.
Thanks to Whitemamba for the great job. :good:
Thank you i will give it a try

Modding stock rom

Why it's no custom rom based on stock for Tablet Z ? And a small number mods for stock ?
I have locked bootloader on my tablet and i must stay on stock and i don't have any choice. I must have normal stock or i must do something myself.
It's a weird because all xperia's have thier own mods for stock and for us is nothing

so, ill anserw you with a example:
im using sgp321 but also Xperia T with stock 4.3 android but modded by someone, so its mean ive xperia z2 home.apk, settings, bravia engine 7, and much more, because sony sucks and ill no more recive an update fe. straight to 4.4... with xpeira tablet z1, you have became 4.4, so its the same firmware as xperia tablet z2. the same laggy settings (yea, with newest update xtz2 is also laggy -.-'), home launcher, ect.
another custiomization and ported apps you can install with xposed or from or from android 4.4 devices froums (explecielly from Xperia Z non-tablet). or unlock yours bootloader and install whatever you want.
thats all.

[Survey] Android 4.1 vs 4.3

Hi,
Because we all have diffrent opninion about our Sony Xperia SP I would like to do a very small reseach.
With this very easy poll I just want the next question answered:
Are you running official 4.1.2 or 4.3.x?
If you are running a custom ROM (CM, PA or even stockbased) answer Custom ROM..
If you have answerd the question please let me know in a comment:
Tell which one you have chosen (perhaps even the build number of the version you run) and wheter you are happy with it or not!
Thanks!
OP will kickoff:
I have chosen for Stock Sony 4.3.x. I am not that happy with it because it still has a few bugs. I do however am happy because Sony finnaly took the time to update it after delay and more delay. Now we are just waiting for KitKat.
I still choose 4.3 because camera feature and others.
205 fw
I'm running 4.3, without much talk it's just the best choice right now since many bugs have been fixed and it does come with some pretty nice features
I'm in 4.3.... every OS have bugs, but at least with 4.3 you have more features here and there and thats why is better that stay in a old OS version
Also last update just let me little visual bugs (install app bar), GPS (not the big deal) and Wifi (well Wifi range sucks since 4.1)
I am on stock 4.3,and i am happy!
Nearly all bugs are fixed, only ram is failing in some moments
Happy with stock 4.3 latest fw, much better than previous updates. No lag here, so its good for me after all those laggy updates.
I had lag issues with all versions of the stock ROM I've tried. After testing a whole bunch of custom ROMs I've settled on CM 10.1. While it is not exactly cutting edge, it has been out of active development for many months, it is rock solid and stable.
I use stock 4.3 as camera is important to me. I found PA 4.4.4 to be the fastest rom for me, but I want to be able to control ISO manually on my camera. I tried various versions of 4.3 and decided to stick with my carrier version (O2 UK). Once towel rooted and debloated I find it to be very fast and stable. More so than the various deodex stock roms on the forum.
Yea I am also on the .205 4.3 firmware, I am UK customised, one of the last to get it but it is good. I fixed the uninstall glitch with a fixed package installer apk, only issue I have experienced is battery drain due to location services and lower ram (compared with 4.1.2).
I'm using 4.3, with eXistenZ Ultra. Couldn't be happier [emoji1]
Stock 4.1.2 is the best
I'm using stock 4.1.2 with swap on stock kernel
Was on latest stock every time a new firmware was released, then switched to eXistenZ when it seemed like we'd never have KK, but I've never been deceived with either stock firmware or eXistenZ, both have always been very fast and I've never experienced any lag or disconfort on this phone.
EXistenZ is perfect. 4.3 is better than 4.1 imho

I personally favours CM 11 because of a few flaws present in the stock ROM. Not to be lying, I really like Sony's UI (framework-res.apk) and some aspects of the stock ROM. As per to my experience, the stock ROM is not that heavily modified as I can somehow use some things that are meant for AOSP-based ROMs, which is a huge plus for me. However, when it comes to support and RAM, it fails to meet my requirement, and that is what forced me to use CM.

Nope, I can assure you, maybe I've just been lucky but all of the bugs and lags that have been blamed on it ? I've never had them. The only bad point for me is the pretty average camera.
I'm on stock 4.3 (.205 fw). Best I've experience by far, both feature-wise and usability. RAm management could be better though.

Which rom has the best battery backup? Plz help!

I bought my Zuk Z1 phone one month ago and I was very upset with the battery backup of the phone for before buying I went through many videos reviews boasting the battery backup of the phone. After using the official CM 13 from the cynogenmod website I was still not satisfied. I then moved to custom rom and I am quite happy with the battery backup. I have tried Dirty Unicorn, MrColdbird Rom and right now I'm using Teamsek rom the latest one. Which Rom has the best battery backup for our device for I want to stick to only one rom less my battery will get affected. Plz help me to decide. Thank you

You have tried 4 roms and cannot decide for your own which rom gives the best battery life for your purpose???
Less apps, data connection and sensor usage the more the battery will survive [emoji106] But I suggest try radioactive kernel with official cm13 nightly and deactivate as much payload as you can. Otherwise nuclear rom ist also a good choice, the mentioned kernel is already built in. Google Apps drain the device, so be patient which are you using. Knowledge of kernel settings ist your key to get the most battery life out of your device for YOUR purpose. You must try and measure, it's time-consuming...

I have been using MIUI latest its super stable it gives me aroud 6 hours SOT sometimes more than that.
Battery backup, screen on time depends on your usage. Heavy users like me don't get much SOT on this phone. I am on lineage OS 14.1 14th Feb build and I play clash of clans frequently, throughout the day and I Hardly get 4Hours or 4.5 hrs of SoT for around span of 11-12hrs. And also I keep data connection ON for 24x7. If you are a moderate user and turn off data connection after use you'll be fine on any rom I guess. If you want latest stable build with latest security patch, then definitely go for lineage OS. It's most stable ROM out there and stand by time is just awesome. Everyone has like and dislikes for each and every ROM, maybe you should flash some more ROMs and decide for yourself.

Suggest Rom with the best battery performance

Hi guys,
After a disappointing stay at Oreo for several months, I downgraded to Nougat. Things are a bit better but far from marshmallow I recalled when I got the phone.
I got a bit older so I am not so fond of trying different roms every month.
So before downgrading to stock marshmallow for good , is there any other rom with a better battery performance? I just need a stable rom (I don't care if it is not supported anymore) with the most optimum battery life.
Is that too much to ask?

Best battery life without you having any involvement would probably be straight stock.. You can get as good battery life as you want with any rom by taking control, with root apps for disabling system services and apps, firewall, kernel tweaks, etc... If you're not interested in doing the work, just use straight stock rom with Greenify or something.
OmniROM, actually the best battery/performance ROM on this device http://dl.omnirom.org/kugo/

Levone1, my attempt to do so in Oreo failed miserably
It was better though, but far from ideal. Maybe though I didn't mess with kernel, so I can't really blame Oreo (yet!).
