Diesel On Guard - Firmware - Wear OS Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
Recently purchased a Diesel On Guard Smartwatch. Is there any possibility of reinstalling the firmware manually (where to find the rom)? and if so, will the charger cable work as a data transfer cable?
Many thanks in advance.

USB connector damaged - suggestions

Hello
I have a Leo that will no longer charge through the USB (although my PC can establish an AS connection with it). Battery is ok (can charge it in another Leo, for instance). I think that the USB connector is damaged can anyone suggest a place where I could order a replacement connector from?
I could send this unit to HTC but I'm in Brazil and this would mean sending it to Europe.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Good point. I just thought that he must have tried that already.
Expansys sells the cable. It's $10.99(US) from their Brasil web site - http://www.expansys.com.br/s.aspx?search=188901 but I don't think they will have any stock for 10 days (my languages aren't too good - I'm Scottish, English is hard enough LOL). The Expansys UK site sells the cable for £8.49 plus plus shipping. Here is the link: http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?i=188901.
A quick Google (other search providers are available LOL) or a search of the Accessories section for HD2 here at XDA may provide other options.
Regards.
Cable OK
Yes, I've tried it with another cable - no use, so that's how I figured out it must be a damaged USB socket
For a short term solution you could try finding a battery charger on Ebay...
You haven't accidentally ticked the "Do not charged when connected to a PC" box under the battery status?

THL W8/W8+/W8S wireless charging

hi all,
can anyone point a +5 and GND points in the side of the phone so i can connect easily to an adhesive receiver like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Samsung...S_Cell_Phone_PDA_Chargers&hash=item53fd26e5a6
instead of connecting them to a difficult micro-usb pins.
after connecting the adhesive receiver,
i can use the transmitter pad.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/QI-Wireless...l_Phone_PDA_Chargers&var=&hash=item1e82e35a53
thanks.
update:
found this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Univers...t=LH_DefaultDomain_2&var=&hash=item2332365663
just connect to micro-usb port and that's it!
update:
anyone knows if there is a QI sticker that won't cover the camera?
Hello.. I was thinking to do it on my THL W8 and i think that connect it right on battery pins could work too.

No! U r thinking wrong. The battery needs 4.2v and not 5v.
U will kill the battery that way.

[Q] Power cable

Hi Guys,
I seem to have lost my power cable for my S4. I just need to know if I can replace it as I have heard that using different cables can cause problems
Any info would be appreciated
Hi,
i think maybe a problem if you use Odin.
If it's just for charge or transfer file, no problem with another microUSB cable
But wait for a recommendation of the xda experts

There are two kinds of usb cables for our phones, one ONLY CHARGES and
the other does both data transfers from phone to computer as well as charging.
The one which does both is also good for Odin and Kies.
Be sure to get one which specifically states "charging & data" in it's description.
Good luck!

I read somewhere in XDA, there was an info that the Quick charge feature of S4 is only work when using combination of genuine S4 adapter and S4 power cable. If you use another cable, it will not work.

No, all Samsung chargers have the data pins bridge only in the charger USB output (or in the cable if it is fixed to the charger). Anyway, if the cable has a big impedance (bad quality), it could decrease the provided current.

Ok guys thanks for the replies
So I go for a cable that states Data + Charge, and I can still use with Odin and Kies etc
Thanks

Can I use "regular" USB-C -> HDMI cable instead of DEXpad? Which one?

Hi guys, is there a way to mirror the phone's screen to other display (let it be a monitor or TV) using USB-C->HDMI cable? Does it matter what cable to buy? Can you recommend one? Are there any caveats to this? Do I need to set the phone somehow or install some app?
Thanks a lot
It will just work from my experience...
I've also bought this thing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078X9N26D/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It works as dex station if connected to power supply and as hdmi if not.
The only bug for this is that it slowly discharges your phone even if it's connected to power...
it works, you don't need a Dex pad anymore.
I believe any usb c to HDMI will work, but I would recommend using a wireless charger with it.
Probably better off just getting the dex station cause either way you go it would be the same amount of money cause I wouldn't recommend going cheap
I know it's ridiculous to ask; but would a NIntendo Switch Dock actually work? Considering it's similar, and the board can be taken to a Very small case, essentially, a mini dock

In Android Q beta, you can get DEX by using your regular USB cable with the PC
