No, working perfectly fine for me, including calls between T-Mobile VoLTE phones as well as others.
Call quality seems OK to me,earpiece volume could stand to be a bit louder though, but, still usable....

My wife and I had audio issues the other day with ours as well (6T to 6T on Tmo).
It went away when I connected my in-car Bluetooth.
But I have had a couple other calls with no problems, so I'm not quite sure what caused the problem.

When you say weird noise do you mean when the other person says something the sound kind of pops and crackles? My wife and I both have the T-mobile 6t and have this issue, but only through the ear piece. No problems if I use my Bluetooth headset.
I did a test today though were I called a friend who is on AT&T with a Samsung phone and didn't experience the noise.
Edit: Just did another test. I first called my wife to verify we still had the noise. Then I went in to my "Sim and Network" settings and changed preferred network type to "2G/3G (Automatic)". This keeps the phone from making "HD+" calls. I also had calling over wifi disabled. After making those changes the noise is gone. So the issue seems to be a problem with the HD+ call and the earpiece. I specify just the earpiece since Bluetooth and other headsets don't have the same problem with HD+ calls.

Same issues here. Phone-to-phone the audio quality is terrible (6T to 6T on T-Mo). Bluetooth through the Jeep when my wife is driving is fine.
Yes, it's a crackling when speaking, no noise when quiet. My wife said I sounded like "robot voice."
Hope they fix this because the phone is pretty much unusable as a phone like this.
Based on this thread, it looks like they have acknowledged it is an issue.
It seems to be an on-device VOLTE problem.

Hi, I have just received my X7500, and I'm very satisfied with it, except for a thing: the audio quality.
During the calls (with the stock wired headphones) there is a noticeable hissing sound, and when I listen to music or watch a movie with my in-iear UE Super.fi 5 pro sometimes (in the parts with low music) the hiss is higher than the notes!
Is it normal? I hope not, because If it is so, I will have to sell my Athena, because I have bought it also to replace my mp3 player, and the audio quality of athena is simply unacceptable.
Is there any way to solve this issue?
Please let me know your experiences!
No, that's not normal. I don't have such hissing sound. Try changing the headset.

It's not an headset issue, because my super.fi 5 pro work great with the mp3 player.
I'll have to call the customer support I think... but I have just flashed AP touch dual.
How can I go back to WM5?
Thanks again, eagle

the rubber goes deep into the ear. They are a kind of earphones that deliver great sound and a total acoustic isolation.
The hiss is really annoying if I use these, and its volume is independent from the playback volume. If I set the volume at 0 in poscket music I can hear the hiss only! I think it's an hardware problem at this point...
I will call technical support
Firstly, I would like to stress what an excellent piece of kit the Jabra "Dog Tag" BT3030 is. The music sounds awesome and to say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement.
However, the issue I have is that whenever I change song via the Dog Tag, the Touch HD "wakes up". You can imagine that this kind of defeats the purpose though, as I don't want the phone to be active when it's in my pocket and I'm running around.
Is there any way to stop it waking up?
Bump for help
uh, i wanted to know that too, but anyway i'm getting used to it...
my solution now is use S2U2, which it wakes up at its "Slide to Unlock" screen and won't do any harm..
I see the same behavior with mine when I press pause or play but I don't use that set daily anymore.
I now use a set of Phillips SHB7100 which is brilliant. The wires are integrated into the lanyard which was my bigges issue with the Jabras.

One strange thing tho is that the Phillips do not automatically connect A2DP when the autopair. They only connect as a headset for phone calls the I have to manually connect the A2DP. Annoying but worth it.

What do you mean by this?
One of the main reasons I wanted the Jabra BT set was because I could use my own headphones. I'll be changing the chain though when I go back to Bahrain!
In terms of solving the original issue, I've enabled "Device Lock" on my phone. Not an ideal solution but it's OK temporarily
The headphones can be released from the receiver and the layard can be separated.
These pictures should clear that up.
It's the same for the Jabra Dog Tag
I have another issue now - using the device lock, when the phone wakes up, no buttons are pressed. However, because the screen stays on for at least a minute, the battery drains rapidly. I need a proper solution to the initial problem, if any charitable soul can help me
Unless my dogtags are weird, the headphones on them are separate loose and kinda free to roam so they get annoying for me.

Oh THAT's what you mean! Fair enough then but I'm sure I could find a custom lanyard if it bothered me that much
Hi, is it possible to install any software to support these earphones? I tried it with several phones, seems like Nokia and Xperia dont support it while Samsung does.
I have done some research and it is due to the additional mic channel that cause the problem. It is not like it is totally not working, just that it sound like the music lost layers...
anybody has any experience to this?
Thanks!
Any specific reason why u wanna use one of the worlds crappiest earphones?
LOL as if they would be crappy...haha.
Hmm, when you try to listen to music with XPERIA Headphones and iPod the same thing happens: it sounds like the music lost layers. But when you push the "speak" button it is okay. I did not try the new headphones with the XPERIA so I can't help you for now but I'll have a look later on.
I dont think this is a software issue.
Iphone's head set jacks is a little different from any head set iv seen.

They are BULL****.
Nah
I think Apple's Headset is technically the same as the X1 headset
It should work.
I said should.
You should try it for yourself
Thanks for the replies.
haha, no, i bought the new dual driver version for my ipod.
i came from Crossroads Bijous, i must say they are quite good, better compared to the stock Xperia's and even some sony's dynamic drivers earphones.
Yes! when you press down the mic button, it sounds ok again...
if its a hardware issue, then its really quite a waste..
the real problem is that there is no real std for mini jack with mic too
every company can do it as they see fit
no std for the 3th ring
no std for it's placement
or it's width
so it's always pretty much hit or miss
hi guys, think i solved it!
by using the headphones with the xperia adapter, it actually sounds normal. but i must say theres a good deal of background hiss... is this xperia's problem?
not sure if the mic works... cos the adapter comes with mic too...
it don't and the reason you don't have any issues is that
the adapter don't carry the 3 ring for mic at all so it don't interfear

i think its because of lack of impedance matching.
u ll have to get an impedance adapter to reduce that background hiss.
costs like $2 to $10..

Hi,
I tried to find some info on google, nothing serious yet. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819267)
So there's the idea. Considering how a noise canceling headphone works : An external microphone get ambient noise, makes a invert of the sound wave and then you can't hear (or almost) what around you.

Can we use this principle but with the cellphone itself? Use the cell mic, invert sound wave and get it to the audiophile headphone that I use?
Its for occasional use in the subway/train/plane
*I dont want to use noise canceling headphone, its not audiophile material.
Thank you

Not really, because what matters heavily is the location of the microphone that is used to calculate the proper sound wave, which should be at the same spot as your ear. ideally it would be located at the ear piece. what good would it be if it rested in your pocket?

Can it be effective on humming sound only? Because this kind of sound is everywhere, so no need to place the mic near the ear.
If I take i.e. sony noise canceling technology, its not really working on brief and heavy sounds.
Well, you still need it near your ear because the relative phase of the noise and your "counter-noise" is crucial for destructive interference (cancelling out noise).
Just after updating my oneplus 6T to version 10.3.1, I started facing issues with the music / sound playback being played from the phone's earpiece instead of the phones spearkers.
This is absolutely random, sometimes happens when I am already listening to music from loudspeaker & some app has a new notification sound played then the music stops from loudspeaker & starts playing from the earpiece. Sometimes it happens in the middle of the night & I miss my morning alarm since even alarm sound is from the earpiece.
The only solution to this problem is a phone restart. But this solution is not guaranteed to permanently fix the issue. I even updated to 10.3.2 but still this issue is not solved. I have also submitted bug report through the phone setting itself.
Has anyone ever faced this issue? or can suggest me with some solution to this problem.

Same traffic here. on the next phone OnePlus made, they implemented a stereo feature. a dev here made a magisk module that does a dual speaker (not stereo technically, dual mono) output on our fajitas. I was and am super grateful for his work.
