Has anyone figured out a way to turn off the WiFi calling notifications that keep popping up. They are very annoying.

So it was working yesterday without issue. I can recive text but cannot send them with default messenger. If I use hangout for sms it will work. All sent messages said failed. I have cleared messenger from apps and even gone as far as a factory reset. I am at a lost.
Tried with WiFi calling on and off. WiFi on and off. Safe mode. Nothing is letting the default messenger send.
My only luck I had once was while it was booting I was able to send a message
Did more trouble shooting. Problem is while on lte. Called and opened a ticket with the engineer
Do you have WiFi calling enable? I heard that played an issue for some people

I had the same problem I turn off wi-fi calling and Voice over LTE the fix the problem for me. I can send and receive sms/mms .
I also have intermittent problem sending sms/mms. It would report as failed but the other end actually receives it. Will try disabling wifi calling.

I don't know all I know is most calls and texts lag with an eventual retry .
It's enabled in settings but the icon is missing I noticed this with my first 6p as well 4 months ago. Never had a issue with galaxy WiFi calling icons appearing .Is this normal? Is there a method to know its working or is it just invisible

Anyone else having problems after the Nougat update? I can't send phone calls through the stock dialer. I can get a call out by clicking a number on a website or by using my textra app but not the traditional way. I am completely stock. Any ideas?

Done a factory reset yet to see if that will cure dialing issue?
I have not. I'm hoping to avoid that. But I will if it continues.

Have you tired clearing the app data?
Not sure how to clear that data.

Have you gone to the app settings and made sure the dialer is the set app for making calls?
I looked. Don't know where to find that.

I was having the same issues too. I tracked it down to wifi calling. Had to turn it off to get it to work.

Does anyone have wifi calling enabled and not have the issue with all calls failing?

Same here. After upgrading to Nougat on stock HTC 10 Verizon variant, when selecting the "Phone" icon from the app drawer it would say "Operation denied". Open up the all apps icon on the home screen. Select Phone icon and drag to the home screen and replace the old icon. You can now open the phone dialer. Hope this helps you too.
I'm having the wifi calling issues as well. If wifi calling is turned on and I'm connected, it won't make calls out. If I'm connected to WiFi and turn off wifi calling it works fine. Haven't tried a factory reset yet but we'll see.

FYI factory reset didn't help me at all
Great. We can always try again after an RUU is available
Spoke to a Verizon rep online and they have not received any other reports of the wifi calling issue. Is anyone else experiencing issues with the play store and Google Assistant? Probably not related to the update but just wanted to ask.

While connected it an active wifi network you can;t dial out with wifi calling enabled. Not a phone icon issue on this one. I reported to verizon and they are sending a new phone

Wi-Fi calling has never been a problem , I always have it enabled. Can dial out just fine on or off Wi-Fi network or 4G.
In response to the "OP" who also could not use his "stock dialer" same as me.
By going to the "all installed apps" and selecting the dialer icon you are using the stock dialer version 8.10.878172 thereby replacing the "leftover" Version 7 Marshmallow dialer. Thats why it would say "operation denied" when using the "old" dialer icon.
Again, this solved my problem. Without having to fatory reset. Nothing to do with Wi-Fi calling in this instance.
google services not updating
I have been having intermittent issues on startup with Gmail not being able to retrieve email or updating, and Play Store also not working. Some days there are no problems, and others nothing works. I have the HTC 10 Verizon phone.
So I did more investigation on my wifi calling issue. For the people people that said wifi calling works after the update. Under the roaming preferences do you have it set to prefer wifi or cellular. If i have wifi selected no outgoing calls can be made if you are connected to a wifi network.
I'm on T-Mobile, running the international 9.0.6 rom. I just noticed that my connection switches to H during phone calls. I've verified that VOLTE is enabled. I'm using the Google dialer. Any thoughts?

wifi calling enabled? try with and without it enabled and see if it makes a difference
That's classic for VoLTE not working. Your phone may be "saying" VoLTE but it's not using it. You state you're using the Google Dialer. Try the stock dialer and see how it goes.

Its the google dialer. I am assuming you installed the module through Magisk to allow the google phone app to work. As soon as I did that I lost VoLTE and as soon as I disabled and rebooted, it returned to normal.

Ok, switching back to the stock dialer seems to have worked. But why is the stock dialer showing me ads when I finish a phone call?

Does it also support VoWIFI ?
