I'd say darkonah, then singh kernel. It really depends on ur usage.
Darkonah because I don't have slow charge issues and the performance is great. Battery is average but then you can tweak it.
Singh kernel has better battery back up , giving up on performance.
I had charging issues with Phb kernel and other kernels .

Ya....well I tried phb all versions, darkonah, singh kernel & Dark berry
As you said, phb is mostly good, but has some charging issues.
Dark berry is also decent kernel, but sound output is not satisfactory & gaming lags.
The most liked kernel is darkonah. The sound quality & bass gain is great, but using dt2w while hearing songs makes slight audio tearing. Except that kernel is great.
I'm going with Darkonah:good:

I'm using darkonah v8 right now.
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410932744536985171

Yup PHB V7 has slow charging issue. it takes 3+ hrs to charge from 10 to 100%. The voice in call recording is also not good.except these issues everything else is fine
On liquid remix PIE+ PHB V7

Use liquid remix if you want customizations..
Else use pixel experience with Darkberry V8
Dt2w works on both
The best you can get out of this device..

Is there any bug? Jusg 4k recording?
In comparison with stock rom which is better in performance and battery and bugs?
Thanks in advance

I posted the link in comment no 4 .. And for me no lags at all camera is good and you can install moto or htc's camera to get very good quality
+1
Just installed the ROM and it's the fastest and lag-free AOSP rom I've found.
+1 for PA. I have gone through almost every ROM available for my D851 and either had lag or heat issues. Holy crap this one is smooth. I'm running it now with Nebula kernel with the bioshock governor and heat issues are gone. It had been hitting 70C just charging and using Chrome, now it stays below 60, and right now is hovering at 55C. I miss a couple of features, but it is too slick to change.
Exodus is the best aosp rom for me
and the camera quality?
Well I'm on stock Rom with Gabriel kernel on Smartmax governer and Alucard hotplug ... And the phone is very good in battery and performance ... It reaches 49 °C when idle or screen off & 55-60 °C when charging and used for some time .... It hits 70°C on heavy usage ... And performance outs really good ... Very minimal lags some times but with animations adjusted to 0.5 in developer options out seems blazingly fast ...

What makes it so good? I'm making a decision between this and Exodus, based on stability and battery life. I might end up trying this first since I'm hearing so much good about it and I'm a fan of PA from my Oppo days.

Aospa was my favourit rom until it didnt support xposed(the new update support xposed) and then i try tesla.
tesla 2.1: that rom is perfect,support xposed,remember my wifi passwort,no lags,super smooth,very good battery life,rro layers and 47400 antutu. 2months without issues.

Rom & Kernel Advice

Hi all,
I bought OnePlus 2 week ago (changed from Honor 6), and since then i using OxygenOS 2.2.1 i really liked the shelf feature, but i can't live without modifications, so i like to unlock bootloader, and flash custom rom and kernel. I searching for LionHeart or Adaptive Governor, and Zen I/O sheduler, i have it one my old LG G2 mini and gave much more battery life. Also it will be great if the rom will have CM Theme Engine.
I ask you good people users of mighty OnePlus 2, can you suggest me something?
i search a lot of threads and i found one kernel with lionheart, but maybe you will suggest me a couple of good rom-kernel combinations.
Thanks a lot
Have a nice day!

Any CM13 based ROM would be your best bet.
IMO, go with Resurrection Remix. They have their official build up and it is one of the best looking ROMs till date.
As for the kernel, I'd recommend Benschhold's custom kernel. It is a great custom kernel providing a lot of options to fine tune your device. Don't expect lots of governors though. OP2 uses octa-core SD 810, which uses the little.BIG architecture. The governors have to be adapted to properly make use of this architecture. That being said, I think ZZmoove or Interactive should be good enough to give you an all-round performance and decent battery life.
Use Kernel Adiutor preinstalled with the custom kernel for best results. (Do not install it, the flashable zip contains Kernel Adiutor)
If you are a music lover, I'd recommend using XTREMEMusic mod or DivineBeats mod.

Thanks, Good to know . I'm familiar with kernel adiutor i use it since my second android device, awesome tool, i see the benschhold's Custom kernel have Lionheart Governor is it good with SD810? i used it one 4 core device, on Honor 6 (kirin 920 big.Little architecture) i used interactive on little and ondemand on big. About music: Yes i'm music lover can you tell me if music mods you are showed me are a lot better than viper4Android with good Convolver (my earphones are Sennheiser CX3.00 i know i should have had better ones)?
By now my combo oneplus is PowerAmp and that maxxaudio, but bass is somewhat strange it is too soft...

It was obvious, I mean your avatar is Audio-Technica's logo!:good:
Yeah, both these mods have Viper4Android bundled in their packages. So you'll get v4a and more with both these mods.
I'm not sure about LionHeart though. I use ZZmoove because ZaneZam has been working furiously on it to make it compatible with SD810.
About the music player, try Neutron Music Player. It's the best if you know how to tune a parametric EQ (not as simple as tuning a graphic EQ i.e. the one which we find in most music players.) and can forgive the retro UI design.

Awesome, thanks a lot, i'll install custom rom (RR or CM13) and Benschhold's Kernel when i come back home . One last question: How's temperatures on Benschholds kernel - is it really OC or unlocked frequency?

It is unlocked, although previous versions had stock overclocking and wasn't reporting much heat.
I don't think that heat levels change with a change in kernel:laugh:
Just asking Thanks a lot
Ok, so i tested couple of roms, and i came back to OxygenOS 2.2.1 (RR was too packed with things i would never use, CM was fine but i feel i miss the shelf feature of Oxygen), now i using it with Benschhold kernel for Oxy and yes it is slight lag here and there but phone seems to be more fluid in apps, so there goes my next question: can i flash sound mods on Oxygen or it will give me a bootloop or some kind of sound distortion? Thanks in advance (im asking, cuz i don't have time to test it out because of my work :/)
Edit: I read that maxxaudio or OxygenOS itself creates a incompatibility with any audio mods and also viper4android alone not working, i tried installing latest Viper4Android and it can't install driver (it says i haven't installed Busybox and/or don't have root - but obviously i do). Maybe i should look for other way out the situation

There are two ways that you could go:
1. Try the new OOS 3 beta. It contains many improvements and by default, it will include the shelf feature that you love. You will be able to install the sound mods that you like and won't get any distortion. The downside with this method is that there is no custom kernel for OOS 3. You'll have to run on a stock kernel.
2. Continue with OOS 2.2.1 and revert to the stock kernel. Then flash the Uber custom build version of Boeffla Kernel and install BoefflaConfig app to tune the kernel. The downside with this method is that you won't be able to flash any audio mods. You'll have to stick to apps like Noozxoide EIZO-Rewire Pro for audio tuning.
Thanks a lot! I'll go with 1st method. You were providing a lot of help, Thanks for that too
I didn't think i'll fall in love with shelf feature, before was only one rom - CM - but oxy changed that for me

Which Custom ROM on Axon7 do You prefer and why?

Simple Question. Got Nuclearom on my phone and am quite happy with it. But I am thinking of switching to DarkRom, Candy or AOSPX. What were you experiences, which performed best etc?
For the g model dark ROM does a good job with the Los thread modem, no call bug, viper works and the delta updates are a great feature too. Battery life is good too.
No lags !!!

Nuclea. all of the others had performance problems not even fixable with a custom kernel. Some (Lineage, RR) had terrible GPU handling when I used them, but that was like 5 or 6 months ago, so maybe they ironed that out. Thing is, radioactive kernel has a very nicely tweaked governor (when it doesn't break your touchscreen, that is )
I'd say you should backup your current install on an SD card if you want to try something else, because you might as well want to go back. Most other custom ROMs are carbon copies of each other for some reason. For instance, RR looks like AICP, Nuclea like those but with less tweaks... and the difference is mostly the maintainer and the name (usually even the 'goal' of the ROM is the same, to "provide with the best tweakability and functionality while keeping performance best" or something on the lines).

Feel you man, Tried Carbon and RR before Nuclea and got disappointed, very slow and buggy in comparison. But DarkPixel looks promising and people are reporting good speeds and more/better features.
Is someone around here who tested DarkPixel with Radioactive Kernel? Or did some other kernel perform better? Or might it even be the best to stick with the Kernel of the ROM? So many options, so few differences :/

No, not necessary, the kernel that comes with rom does perform absolutely fine in my eyes. Only modded a bit with kernel auditor, read ahead, no big changes. Viper aroma 2.94 and lawnchair as launcher, just using the black ui, no substratum. The rom is smooth, lagfree and not overloaded with features. For smooth browsing I use the chromium swe
here from xda. Magisk 14 with unified hosts just work fine.
No saftey pass issue.
This are all personal choices of course, but it gives me a good performance.
Overall I find there's very little differences between all the lineage based roms. I use aokp with llama kernel but I may switch again if I can bothered. I use war mod too.
Used all of those ROMs for some time and finally settled with DarkRom. It is stable, fast, got its own color engine, so I replaced substratum with daily issues and never ending updates. Delta updates is another plus. I "customized" it by adding viper4android, Omniswitch and Phonograph music player and that's it. I play with the kernel, but return to the built in one, which is unbeatable smooth.

Oos best kernel

What is the best kernel for battery with performance on xxx oos rom ?
Lightning, Xceed, Flash, stock kernel... U can´t go wrong with anyone.
i prefer Zenith because of the EAS. best battery life i've had, and little to no sacrifice in performance.
Render Zenith latest version should do fine. At times I felt it's smoother than the stock one and battery life is very good.
Changing stune to 15 using exkernel would increase the battery life further.

I am amazed could you share some tips what you do
If you want stability and the best performance don't use xXx No Limits ROM in the first place. Not only is No Limits much less stable than stock OOS (which isn't exactly rock solid in the first place) but the performance of No Limits is noticeably inferior to stock OOS with Blu Spark kernel.

I usually get approx 8 hours sot with gaming. 10 hours is the max I got and it was because I was mostly streaming football matches and watching videos in YouTube. A little bit of social networking too along with that. Also I use the Swift black theme on substratum. So that'll save some battery in most apps with the theme's black backgrounds. Also I use Gerald Rudi's profile in doze settings editor. But no idea if that saves any battery. ?

Best PIE ROM right now( z2plus) -Suggestion

So what you guys expect or want in a custom rom?? Maybe performance, battery, lots of customisations, better charging speed, best sound quality, bugless and best experience.... Am i right ?? Well i also look for these features when it comes to a pie rom.... And i think i have found one ....
[ Syberia OS pie ]
Have you guys tried this rom?? If not try now ....
Now lets talk about features that i mentioned above ... Does this rom got all those features?? The answer is - YES?
This rom is a non treble rom but don't think it lacks in anything when it comes to usage....
It's a beast in performance ...even sometimes better than any other pie custom rom out there ....
Rom is smooth af ... Smoothest experience without any mods
Using this rom from around 7-8 days now and battery is also a plus point i get almost 4.5 hrs+ sot after every charge ..
Customisations- Well trust me this rom doesn't lack even a single customisation that we can expect from a custom rom ... Even more features we get here ...
Charging speed .... Well I'm clear here ... This rom will beat any pie rom in charging speed ... simply fast ...
Sound- well this is main highlight here .... I personally found most satisfying sound quality only in this pie rom after a long time.... To get best sound experience flash ZAP latest version by vlad113 via magisk and enjoy the unmatched sound quality from speakers and headphones ....No sound distortion.. No volume loss... This rom also contains dirac sound feature which is really a bonus .... If you're fond of listening music through headphones.... You can also flash Dolby via magisk if you want...
Bugs: well this rom is currently on it's early stages for our device but still i only found issues with network sometimes but otherwise it's already stable.... And this ROM Dev's are very active on updates and they provide updates weekly i think.... So don't worry you'll always be updated .....
So guys give it a try and tell your experiences ?

try lineageOS, it has no issues at all. The most stable rom of all time. It lacks some customization but still better than any other ROM out there hands down!

I have been using Lineage OS on my Z2 for past few weeks and gets 5+ hours of SOT always. I didn't flashed any mods or ZIPs. I lacks many customizations, not some, actually. But you'll forget about those additional customization within a few days, I think. The phone is butter-smooth now. Never ever had any freezing or glitch in these days.
Though since I love customizations I'm going to try AOSiP within a few days. I'll review it soon then.
