Thanks
Is there any bug? Jusg 4k recording?
In comparison with stock rom which is better in performance and battery and bugs?
Thanks in advance

Great post TS, didnt even link the ROM - thanks champ
I have run 3 AOSP Roms now, and they dont seem to be worth the trouble, Battery sucks, camera sucks, gets laggy - i always go back to stock.
Good luck though

I posted the link in comment no 4 .. And for me no lags at all camera is good and you can install moto or htc's camera to get very good quality
+1
Just installed the ROM and it's the fastest and lag-free AOSP rom I've found.
+1 for PA. I have gone through almost every ROM available for my D851 and either had lag or heat issues. Holy crap this one is smooth. I'm running it now with Nebula kernel with the bioshock governor and heat issues are gone. It had been hitting 70C just charging and using Chrome, now it stays below 60, and right now is hovering at 55C. I miss a couple of features, but it is too slick to change.
Exodus is the best aosp rom for me
and the camera quality?
Well I'm on stock Rom with Gabriel kernel on Smartmax governer and Alucard hotplug ... And the phone is very good in battery and performance ... It reaches 49 °C when idle or screen off & 55-60 °C when charging and used for some time .... It hits 70°C on heavy usage ... And performance outs really good ... Very minimal lags some times but with animations adjusted to 0.5 in developer options out seems blazingly fast ...

What makes it so good? I'm making a decision between this and Exodus, based on stability and battery life. I might end up trying this first since I'm hearing so much good about it and I'm a fan of PA from my Oppo days.

Aospa was my favourit rom until it didnt support xposed(the new update support xposed) and then i try tesla.
tesla 2.1: that rom is perfect,support xposed,remember my wifi passwort,no lags,super smooth,very good battery life,rro layers and 47400 antutu. 2months without issues.

K guys
since we are flashing new rom daily lets create a poll which is fastest for us
for me i think cyanogenmod is fast
Oxygen 2.2.1 most definitely
...in bed.
CM7 nightly works great for me after setting the overclocker
#Devnull is the fastest rom out there. no question, it flies. follow by #oxygen 2.1.6
I'm on stock 2.3.5 rooted with the Touchwiz 4 launcher. Love it.
I would vote for MIUI (tried it, loved it), but went back to stock because no way to get to EPST and gvoice acts wonky on it in my experience.
i have tried Cyanogen, MIUI (all three) and Oxygen. Oxygen is without a doubt the fastest!
Oxygen is fast but has severe browser lag (just like stock) - I have changed to NScollab based on cyanogenmod nightlies. No browser lag and fast as hell
Definitely NSCollab with the new Matr1x 5.5 OC'ed kernel. Score's well on all front's & is stable enough to be your daily driver

SuperOSR [formally SuperAOSP] though I would say DevNull 1.1 is blazing fast too. Usually its compromise between speed and features. Everyone has his/her own preferences
Oxygen 2.2.1 is vefy very fast : much faster than 2.1.6
Oxygen is faster than Cyanogen, nscollab and Stock, for sure.
Battery is better in Cyanogen

Try Oxygen with matr1x 5.5 : helped me.
Also, you can increase a bit the minimum cpu speed to 400, but will increase battery consumption 1% per hour in stand by.

i'm kind of dissapointed, i was expecting to see some screenshots of bench scores
come on guys show us some screens
I haven't tried many roms, but it's hard for me to figure out a rom faster than latest NSCollab 1.0.38 with Matr1x kernel 5.5
I say this because my phone runs smooth like butter, fast like hell, good battery life...almost unbeliavable!
But in reality I don't think this survey is correct as I'm confident that fastness and smoothness is only a question of Kernel, not the entire rom!!
Quadrant score: 3600 - 3800
Vellamo score: 930 - 940
who told u lyk that?
70% depends on rom and 30% depends on kernel

Hey Guys. Thought i would share a really good combo that ive found for my nexus s , it is really smooth..
Rom: AOKP Build 32 4.0.4
Kernel: Matr1x V19 BFS
Launcher: Apex Launcher
Clock speed: 100-1200mhz lulzactive
Radio:KB3
Installed chainfire 3D and that really improved the ui speed.
If anyone else has found a really good combo please share
Thanks to the aokp dev team, mathkid95, and chainfire
cool story bro
Mind sharing the links to the ROM/Kernel/etc.?
Thanks in advance, mate
battery life? benchmark test?
Thanks

Head to http://forum.aokp.co/page/news for the rom
Kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1361477
Will do a full battery life tomorow and post a screen shot.
(edit) added shot of the benchmark.
Installed Brainmasters tweaks, found here:

Heres the battery life .
Did quite alot of texting to day so not that good.
Thanks for the updates, mate!
lookin for good combo too
It's everything working in the rom? Suport for themes?
I was looking for a combo like this one...
Yes everything seams to be working fine a new build has just been released, havent updated yet tho.
Trying out this combination with build 33, my quadrant is reading around 1600... very smooth though

Dude thats pretty tops battery life . Can you post a link for that rom?
I'm thinking of rooting soon. Just been using stock so far.
Stock seems nippy but sometime I get a blank screen and lag when going back to home from apps such as Chrome beta.
Do stock roms and kernals make a big difference performance wise?
Also, I would like a rom where everything works with no problems.
Any suggestions?

The lag is due to the launcher going out of memory. Our nexus has only 512 MB ram. Flash a kernel with Bigmem mod and it would be gone.
I feel they do make a difference but stock is naturally the most stable rom.
For a stable rom try:
Stable versions of CM9
Milestone releases of AOKP
Bugless beast for a close to stock experience,

My ns4g was laggy before.
I'm running stock rom with matrix kernel and apex launcher. Couldn't be happier and my phone is lag free and 10x snappier running @1485mhz
Stock ICS was very laggy for me even with different kernels, OC, and launchers.
When I switched to custom roms (CyberGR and now CM9 nightly) that lag completely disappeared even without OC.
I've been on CM9 a week now and it's worked pretty much flawlessly.
Highly recommended.

To all the devs.
First off, would like to compliment you on the great work you do, and putting in all the tme and effort for developing your roms.
I would please like to request, if you are interested, to develop a PURE AOSP ROM, either kitkat or lollipop, like you get on stock Nexus.
I think a lot of people would be interested in experiencing the stock Nexus look and feel.
I am adding a poll, so for all those interested please vote.
i can't see the point at all .......
you have CM11 (the last nightly is good ) ......and then CM12 .
Cyanogenmod is already "simple" and enought "pure" with lots of interestings things , really not difficult to understand why this rom work...........and very ergonomic !!!
CM is not like others customs with all theirs "frills" like Pie ,omniswitch ,exotics personalizations ......more or less useless for a standard use .
=> with that , i really don't think at all that a dev want to "spend energy" to make a "poor" AOSP pure ... and too many peoples are really not interrested by this sort of rom

Well, that is the case atleast on my s4 mini. The thing is i do not always run my s4 mini @ full 1.7 ghz
While gaming on stock rom i set cpu @ 1.3 or 1.2 ghz and plays it just fine. I play subway surfers, dead trigger 2 and asphalt 8.
All run smoothly @ low graphix settings. But on custom roms like cm I have to set cpu @ 1.4-1.5 GHz for same fluidity and
obviously battery drains a little quicker.

I tried more than you, if you don't care about features, only you want super fast and smooth rom, then you try either Hexagon rom based on ( lineage)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z1/development/rom-hexagonrom-nougat-zuk-z1-t3581479
Or Aicp rom ( linage with full feature)

Or candy rom based on (AOSP-CAF)

Or Aosp-Extended rom based on (AOSP)

Or citrus rom based on (CAF only)
https://www.google.de/amp/s/forum.x...t/rom-citrus-caf-3-1tangrine7-1-t3572769/amp/
and finally RR 5.8.2 (you have it already but the last updated one)
I tried every rom in this forum.. seriously.. and now i am on RR 5.8.2. Not 5.8.3 because it is still buggy!! All of them gave me minimum 5.5 h SOT
RR 5.8.2 is the best rom till now i have tried.. very very stable, full substratum support, very good battery life (SOT 5.5- 6) as it has equipped with RA kernel.. and finally you have every avalible Android feature on this planet inside it.
Hopefully i was useful, i had your question once upon a time
If you just want battery life.. go for Nuclear rom 6. no rom will give you like it.
Cheers

The smoothest and most stable rom i have ever tried.
I have modifed animation scale to zero, flashed dolby atom 6, i really have a monster now.
I am getting 15% battery reducing per h on wifi with 1h SOT while network and gps are on and the display at 50%
I am finishing over 20 h with over 5.5 SOT including over 2h web browser, 1h calling, and the rest are mixed consuming.
Dont forget that my battery is really old now, 5.5 would be 6.5 at least with new battery.

No at all!! If you have then i advice you with AOSP-CAF rom like DU 6 or 7 or candy rom nogut i mentioned above, it is the fastest rom i have tried , i did not like it because i had problems only with 60 fps video shoot, other than this, it is very stable, insanely fast, very good battery life, and i am pretty sure will be the best for the hardware compatibility, this means if you flash it and still have problems then think about a hardware defect!

Sent from my Lenovo Zuk Z1 using XDA Labs
I recently wrote a question on the Z2 Plus' XDA forum about what ROM could possibly fit my needs: Scrolling Smoothness, Great battery life, Great Performance without overheating. I got like 1 or 2 answers I think. So I went on my own to research the best ROM I could possibly use as my Daily Driver. PureFusion had probably the second best performance in my eyes just behind ViperOS, but both of these ROMs were inconsistent and lacked battery efficiency. AEX had multiple bugs and crashes after using it for some time. PixelExperience is still in developpement so I won't give any pejorative remarks (BTW, its liquid smooth) After a good Sunday of searching, I finally came across the best ROM I have ever used. Enter Citrus CAF. If you know this ROM and have tested, you van leave by now as you probably know how great it is! Crazy fast AND consistent performance. Something I dreamed of for a long time. The sound seems to be better too. There is some level of customization although I dont really tweak my device. Overheating has not been a problem at all since installing this ROM although the majority of the ROMs for the ZUK Z2 Plus seem to do a great job at that level. Finally, the battery life. Oh the battery life! I thought it was going to be a pretty poor battery life since the ROM itself didn't get much updates. SOT bas gone through the roof. 9H(Yes 9H!) and still counting at 8% of SOT on moderate usage. 7h45 SOT on intense usage(Asphalt 8, a LOT of YouTube, a 45 minute call and some other stuff like Facebook, Twitter etc..) It has been a tremendous experience for me and I strongly hope that the battery life is gonna stay like that for a long time. Btw im 15 and im french si im sorry if you feel like i misspelled a word or something.
Link for the ROM : https://sourceforge.net/projects/citrus-caf/files/z2_plus/

It was indeed the best ROM so far on my Z2 Plus.

Yes! I always seem to be a flashaholic during the holidays. These holidays though, I managed to retain myself and only flash 2 ROMs including Citrus CAF. I know that HDR+ is truly fantastic(tried it on the PixelExperience ROM) but I dont really take much photos son it is not a real deal breaker for me.

Had Citrus 3.1 running for ~6 months.
It was indeed the best ROM so far on my Z2 Plus.

What are you using now? I have recommendation for Citrus 3.5, they say it's the best one...

I'm now on Cardinal 5.3 (Oreo).
Very clean, fast and stable.
All Oreo ROMs in general are not perfect yet.
Battery life is not as good as on Citrus 3.1 + DarkMoon Kernel.
I didn't try 3.5 or 3.6 since I didn't feel like it would give me much improvement.
In fact I got scared off of trying because of the negative reports by others in the thread.

Sorry for my REALLY late answer. As of March 17th, I am rocking the Pixel Experience ROM. Ive been using this ROM for about 2 months and it's really fluid, fast, and lag free. I felt like Citrus was getting less efficient on the battery side of things. The performance was still very good but I just like I needed to change and go over the Android 8 hump. If you want a reliable ROM that is well protected, blazingly fast, I would recommend Jaguar even though I did not ever try that ROM. Other than that, Pixel Experience is my choice
what if i say antutu can reach more than 1,70,000 to upto 1,80,000 in z2 plus
