I have an Omnia 7 and the battery wont just charge in the phone. It charges with an external charger though. When I connect the charger, it shows that it is charging by virtue of the icon in the top right corner but in actual fact, the battery doesn't charge and finally, goes off totally.
As if that isn't enough, when I remove the charger from the device, the notification tone keeps beeping as if I am connecting and disconnecting the device continuously even when I have no tone set for notifications. Am confused as to whether it is a software or a hardware problem. I have the feeling it is the Micro-USB port on the phone that has developed a problem. Please any help?
Thanks.
Try removing the Battery for a minute. Should resolve the problem totaly. If not, your battery is probably damaged.
I've got the same problem, but my battery is fine, after charging, phone making beep noise, like plag in plag out, sometimes it stop itself. Can say for sure, it starts after i done update 3.02.12. also phone sometimes turn "off" "on" itself.

Hello!
I'm at my wits end trying to figure out if this phone is repairable or not.
Dropped the phone and cracked screen, now theres no power. LED isnt working, computer isnt detecting the phone when I plug it in, but the phone/battery gets warm. Maybe alittle to warm. Im assuming that since it wont vibrate or show any sign of powering on, theres more to it than repairing the screen/digitizer. Just not sure how to narrow down the issue.
Any ideas and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! I have an interested buyer for the phone and he wants to know if its dead or not.
Remove battery. Insert battery. Charge for sometime,. Turn phone on. I understand that you couldn't find whether it's turning on or not. Try plugging your headphones and check whether your Music player responds..
A friend once checked his GS2 this way..
But the thing is you should have a music app that responds to headphones..
Hi all,
I have a LG G2 from AT&T. Had it for about 1.5 years now. No issues until now.
I was just watching some YouTube videos and the phone suddenly shut off. I tried the power button and it won't turn on.
I plugged the G2 in to a power outlet, but it was just stuck on the "LG" screen. I unplugged the cable, and now, even when I plug in the cable, the phone won't turn on.
Can someone please help me? Thanks in advance to anyone who can.
I believe it's due to the motherboard, but I'm not sure.
Really would like someone's help!
Bumping. Really need help with this.
Can you put it in download mode?
Plug in your usb cable from pc holding vol down button, if nothing happens, try at the service centre because it can be hardware related.
The phone doesn't do anything when connected to the laptop with the button held down. :/
Power Supply/USB Options keeps popping up when unplugged.
I know people say to pull your sdcard, then reboot twice...I've tried it. No luck. Appears to be an issue with both Marshmallow and Nougat. Anybody have a fix or suggestions other than completely silencing and blocking notifications for it?
Below are a few pics. Very frustrating to hear this thing beeping randomly and when you plug in the cable...the notification disappears. Total opposite of what it should do.

Do you have some debris in your USB port that could be shorting out some of the pins? Maybe try blowing some compressed air in there to clear it out?
How did you fix Power Supply / USB Options Issue?
Hi. Did you get this resolved? If so, how. I am experiencing the same problems.
I also have this bug. Cleaned out my USB port already.

Had you got it fixed? Have you tried hard reset, did it help or that bug left? So, is it software bug glitch or matters are worse and mobo replacement needed?
Mine did this!
It all started by not charging one day with my car charger.
That night I charged for an hour with a wall charger. When I grabbed the USB connector to pull the cable out of the phone, the connector was so hot it almost burned my fingers!
The next day I tried 3 different cables, one cable finally started doing what you described.
The phone never would charge again. I tried cleaning it factory reset (multiple times).
I finally wrote if off to a bad USB port on the phone and so
The phone has been sitting in b a drawer ever since.
How to solve this problem?

I also have been having this issue for about a month now, have done everything that has been posted, any new news?
The phone was normally charging in the car charger (my fault?), The moment the auxiliary cable was removed it went into a kind of a bootloop and after it was taken out of the charging it went to a white "Bite dog" screen with a few small words. On that screen it said to either connect on a usb cable to do something with the ram or press volume down to restart normally, but then pressing volulme down it would return to the same screen. Connected to the original charger it started a bootloop cycle again, so to avoid damage as it was too hot it was let it discharge. And afteer that nothing else appears on the screen, even connected to the charger and it gives no response, even with softreset or powerup buttons.
So I send it to the maintenance service, and they solve the problem relating the following issues and solutions:
Symptom code: MDGC - Automatic turn-off
Defect code: MGCP - Software uptade
Solution code: F05 - Software uptade
Is something that I could solve in home. And any chance if I put in my car charge this will happen again?
