Hello,
Some months ago, I unlocked the bootloader of my X Compact, now used by my son. Because this is a hardware problem under guarantee, I relocked the bootloader. Now when the phone boots, it asks for a password (black screen with just an "emergency call" button). But we don't know this password. Any idea what this password could be?
Thanks.
如果手机里面没有重要数据的话,可以尝试多输入几次密码,在30次输入错误的且不同的密码后,手机会自动恢复出厂设置。
if there is nothing important in your xperia x compact, you can try to enter the different password for several times. after entering 30 worng password, your phone will will automatically restore the factory settings.

I have network/sim unlocked my Vibrant and it works fine. However, I have had to re-enter it at least 3 times. All of these times it was after a reboot that was done because the phone was locked up or because an app was frozen. After the reboot, it would ask for the sim unlock again. I can enter it and it unlocks and works fine until I have to reboot under the same circumstances. Normal reboots do not cause a problem, only the ones where an app or the phone is frozen.
I thought that once it was unlocked, it was unlocked permanently. Is there a preferred way to enter the unlock code? I am entering it at boot up with a non TMobile sim when it asks for it. Is there a way in the OS that would make it "stick".
Very strange...After searching a bit I have not found any mention of a similar situation.
Thanks for any info.
Hi, I am looking for some help with my Nexus S.
I recently rebooted and changed to a new SIM, and upon booting I am presented with a screen saying "Enter password to unlock", My gmail password wont work and I don't know what password it means.
So i then put my old SIM back, and it still happens! now I cant get into my phone at all, and cant use it!
I even tried a reset, and when I select recovery in the bootloader, it doesn't work.
I do have Prey installed (http://preyproject.com/), and I did forget to switch it off before changing SIMs, but I entered my prey password and that didn't work either.
Please help!
Thanks in advance,
Tris
Ok i have solved this.
It was Prey that had locked my phone, and I had got the password wrong!
At least it shows it will make it really difficult for anyone who steals my phone!!
Hi, I recently flashed my SGS to I9000XXJVP, after flash, it keep on loop into recovery mode and prompt for password. I have flash my phone several time, this is the first I encounter this. Can someone help please. I have tried many combination, like 0000, 12345 etc.. but failed. I just can't figure out why there is a prompt for password, is it I set the screen lock pattern, but there is screen lock pattern, I do not set for password.
Please someone help, I can't use my phone now.
Thanks.
Just type any password several times. And phone reset all settings.
I have just wiped and upgraded my Galaxy s4 to 4.4.2. I would like to fully encrypt my phone and use pattern unlock so I followed this article:
(just google pattern-unlock-an-encrypted-android-phone, I can't post URL)
But even though I have tried this multiple times and unplugged the USB cable (as mentioned in the article) as soon as I hit enter to start the encryption command the screen goes black on the phone and then after about 10min the phone reboots to the unlock screen and it is still unencrypted. I have tried following other articles too but they are all the same in terms of the command you run to encrypt the phone.
Any ideas? How can I get pattern unlock to work with an encrypted Android phone? Yes I know you can't do this via the GUI but then you need to enter a silly long password every single time you want to unlock the phone which is not an option for me. I don't mind entering a long password when turning on the phone but when it comes to unlocking the phones lock screen I would like to use the pattern unlock.
Any one else had any success with this on 4.4.2? Thanks!

Hi everyone,
I don't know if this is a Tab A question, a Samsung question, an Android question, or a Marshmallow question.
I have an older tablet (SM-P350 with stylus) that I haven't been using a lot and I have forgotten the unlock pattern I was using. I am able to log in using the backup PIN, which I do remember, but I have to make several failed attempts to draw the pattern before I am prompted to enter the PIN. I'd like to start using the tablet more, but I don't want to have to do this every time.
I went to the security settings to change my login, but under "Screen lock type," it prompts me for my pattern, and after a failed attempt, it tells me I have to wait 45 minutes to try again! I am not given the option of entering the PIN. So I can't change the pattern OR change the screen lock type without knowing the old pattern! Does anyone know how I can use the backup PIN to do this?
As a last resort, I decided to do a factory reset. When I tried to do so from the menu, it prompted me for the security pattern!
I've tried twice to use the power and volume down buttons to reset, but I don't seem to be able to get to the recovery menu.
Now I can't log in to shut down and try again, because it's telling me I have to wait an hour!
And finally, one additional complicating factory is this: the tablet has been rooted -- not by me, but by the previous owner.
What can I do?
