Rooted.
Installed Moto camera 2 and EIS enabler from @Deivid_21's thread.
Now, video recording works with Moto camera 2!!
Could someone try this and post their results here?
Video recording works through other cameras in oreo roms.......it doesn't work in the camera in the inbuilt camera of rom.......i.e the camera which came preinstalled with the rom

Hi, I have some advanced camera questions regarding the Moto X Pure ...mostly about capability of raw photo, max 4k bitrate and if there are compatible pixel google camera hDR+ apps
1) Has camera api 2 been confirmed, definitively enabled by any known means on the Moto X pure so RAW photo capture is enabled? In other words.....anyone doing raw on moto x pure?
2) Does anyone know if 4k video recording bitrate can be increased on the Moto X pure. If so what mods, apps and to about what bitrate?
3) Are there any known google HDR+ apps that are known to work on the moto x pure? particularly HDR+...if so, any apk link?

1) Nope, not possible... RAW or CameraAPI2 is not in the firmware of this device and it cannot (so far anyway) be enabled with software.
2) Nope, limitation of the Sony’s Exmor RS IMX230 sensor to 4k @ 30fps, 1080p @ 60fps, and native resolution @ 24fps
3) I have no info on HDR+ with this device, maybe someone else can add to this.
is there a google camera app that supports the Snapdragon 808?
If you're on nougat, then Google camera 4.1 will only work.

You'll only need to check the video resolution, as on 1080p Google camera will fc on video record.
If you're on custom rom, then you can use Google camera version up to 5.0 - but I haven't tested it
The aim of using google camera is to use hdr+ and there is no ported version for stock rom that can use it so installing 4.1 and using will shield the same or worst results that stock camera.
Hello guys. I have a little project in mind and i would like to know if you guys know a good app to do video recording with both cameras at the same time like PIP funcion in the LG G4 stock software.
I installed custom rom lineage os 15 . My phone is working good but the quality of the picture captured by my phone is not good it is very bad

Ok so i have a rooted lineage os 16.0 on my kccat6 also known as Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, but one thing that i understand right know is that the camera sucks on custom roms the only close bet i got was open camera because it could do 4k recording while stock LineageOS and other's just couldn't recognize that 15MP in recording mode appearantly only 1080p 2.0MP, thank god open camera could see 4K recording, than all other camera apps, but quality be like ......... Not close to stock, neither the settings range of stock , so is there any GCam mod apk? That will work for me?
