anyone have modded Google cam for kccat6? S5 Plus - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok so i have a rooted lineage os 16.0 on my kccat6 also known as Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, but one thing that i understand right know is that the camera sucks on custom roms the only close bet i got was open camera because it could do 4k recording while stock LineageOS and other's just couldn't recognize that 15MP in recording mode appearantly only 1080p 2.0MP, thank god open camera could see 4K recording, than all other camera apps, but quality be like ......... Not close to stock, neither the settings range of stock , so is there any GCam mod apk? That will work for me?

TW software cannot be used on CM ROMs.
You can find replacements such as Lenovo Super Camera for the 4K recording.

For Spen you could use:
1a) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tushar.spen_helper

anyway to fix camera quality on CM 12.1 or enabling HDR mode?

hello ive been trying a lot of custom roms and for me CM12.1 is the smoothest rom with acceptable batterylife, but on the downside the camera quality is super awfull and got no hdr mode any tips to bring back the image quality on CM12.1 or atleast getting hdr support?
im using opengapps
and daily latest nightlies
Hi there!
You can use any third-party app to get HDR. About camera quality, unfortunately it comes from the ROM itself and somewhat not fixable.
Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD
Or you could try a gpe rom. I don't know about 5.1 but 5.0 had working HDR.
5.1 had HDR too
It says I got HDR even now with Google camera, so I believe you should change the camera app only.
try "a better camera unlocked", this app does a great job, and hold steady

Le Pro 3 Camera Quality on Lineage OS 14.1

How is the quality of pictures on Lineage OS 14.1?
Do you have samles? Original files for me?
Thank you.
In my opinion, it's worse than the stock one.
I am not so sure but i think that every nougat has more or less the same quality in photos which i find it to be little worse than stock but not that noticable.
I also use open camera.
i thought nougat will bring better camera performance? Why is it a step back?

because leeco used propietary camera app, nougat is stock camera app, there are a few threads showing results with different camera apps , but they are with sotck based roms.
But camera can be improved with next updates in lineage OS?
Isn't there an HTC camera port that contains HTC libraries so it can render pretty good pictures?
Dont know??
I have a question. I am using OniRom and as I see I cannot use HDR in any app. It either doesn't show that option at all or even if it shows it (only in omnirom default camera) photos are definitively not in HDR. Does anyone know reason or solution for this?
Its horrible.
Doesn't the Pro 3 use a Sony IMX298 sensor, same as the OnePlus 3? Not a flagship camera but it shouldn't be too bad, no?

Google Camera on Le Pro 3 x722 - How good is Video recording?

Hi everyone! I'm new here.
I was interested in this phone (x722) because its crazy cheap for what it offers, but at the same time I am interested in a phone with a good video recording (with stabilization) so before buying I wanted to check.
I was wondering if anyone having the x722 and having installed a custom rom and the GCam port, could tell me how it stabilizes, in which settings (4k, 1080) and if its possible to record 1080/60fps videos aswell?
If some nice person around here would do some test and check if it stabilizes video well and can record 1080/60 it would be great.
Thanks a lot in advance! Hope to see some useful replies
I don't have proof, but people like the camera when they're using it with the modded Gcam. 60fps recording should work with modded Gcam, but it doesn't work normally, i.e. with the stock camera or OpenCamera, despite giving you the 60fps recording option. The IMX298 takes decent 60fps, nothing special. About on par with the iPhone 6. But I don't think you get video stabilization at all. You'll have to stabilize it yourself in Google photos or something.
Source: I owned a Zenfone 3, which has the same sensor.

The OP3T has pretty good electronic stabilization and uses the same IMX298 sensor aswell, so its definitely not a sensor problem in your Zenfone.
The LeEco pretty much has the same capabilities as the OP3/3T, it should be perfectly doable
I don't know, I guess the app would have to give you the option for stabilization. I just tested video recording on my phone and it doesn't have stabilization. I used Open Camera. I'm not rooted so I can't try the modded Gcam.

Yes, I was asking to people that had a custom Nougat ROM + Google Cam 5.0
Could someone in general post pictures and videos taken on the X722 with gcam? I am thinking of buying this Phone.

[H910]60fps video recording on Lineage OS

Good day
I have an LG V20 H910 Unlocked and rooted
Installed Lineage OS 15.1 with nano GApps
All cameras seem to work including the wide angle camera
Video however is just stuck to 30fps, while the V20 actually supports 60, using third party camera apps like Gcam and setting the video frame rate to 60 doesn't seem to work either
Has anyone encountered this problem? And is there a way to fix it?
Will b gladly appreciated for anyone's response
