When I turn on mobile data (Airtel 4G), the data works fine on 4G. But, when I receive a call, the data automatically goes to 2G/3G and when the call is over, the data doesn't come back to 4G immediately, it takes 3-4 minutes to come back to 4G. How to fix this problem? On my redmi note 5 pro data immediately changes to 4G after call.

Our device's connectivity is inferior compared to RN5 pro. Happens with me on Vodafone.
You can try - reset the access point names to default.
Doesn't airtel's VoLTE work?
Airtel Volte doesnt work on my zenfone but on my redmi note 5 pro it works.
Weird, must be a bug, mine is normal
4g before call, H on call, 4g immediately after call

As i wrote in another thread, i'm facing similar issues. Slow hang-up, slow switch, poor 4g performance. I wrote at the italian support and on the asus zentalk support here: https://www.asus.com/zentalk/thread-236917-1-1.html
Please report the problems with network to Asus, in my thread or with another if you prefer, but tell to them, so that they understand that it's a common problem and they have to work on to fix it
Any solution guys?

I don't know if this is an issue with my device, but VoLTE doesn't work if the phone loses connection for a few minutes(15-20). I tried flipping the flag and once the connection did reset and VoLTE started working again. Tried re-flashing the radio and nothing worked till now.
I live in a garbage reception area so turn off enhanced 4g LTE and have better call quality as it doesn't try to do HD voice.
But, to you're question, you mean after you resume a data connection that VOLTE takes a while to start working?

The VoLTE doesn't work no matter how long I get back the service. I have to manually reset network settings to reboot for it to work. Do you know where I can file a bug for this?
My network doesn't currently support voice over LTE (VoLTE) so everytime I receive a call my signal switches back to 3G (H) or 2G (E). I noticed that after a call, it takes time for my S8 Plus to switch back to LTE. Is there an engineering or advanced configuration settings that can be set so that after a voice call the signal goes back to LTE immediately?
This maybe not an impossible thing because I noticed on some other mobile phone brands that the switching back to LTE signal after a voice call is kinda fast (within 2 to 3 seconds) after a voice call.
Thanks
I had a Sony Xperia Z3c on T-mobile. It was an unlocked phone. When I made a call it would switch to 3g because the phone does not support voice over LTE. Most of the time it would take a while to switch to LTE again unless i went into airplane mode or turned data off for at least 10 seconds OR what seemed like if I was driving maybe it would connect to another tower.
So maybe it's normal with phones that don't have VoLTE?

Hi! I am experiencing faster switching on other brands like Huawei and LG. They switch from 3G or 2G to LTE between 2 to 3 seconds after calls.
And yes, that is correct. I usually switch my phone's airplane mode on and off to get the LTE signal back faster.

it's your service provider problem not S8 problem , i have S8+ and it's back to LTE immediately after call ended .

Hi everyone, I own this nice terminal, but I have a big problem. When I use the 2g network, since I'm in Italy and in 4g cannot receive calls, the phone has a very low signal and remains completely absent very often. I have the same problem when 4g makes the switch in 3g. Sometimes to recover the signal I have to turn the airplane on and off. It's normal? And does anyone have the same problem or can he help me? Is this a hardware problem? With a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro in I own these problems do not occur, so I rule out the problems of my network operator.

Also noticing issues with Chromecast .It fails to detect Chromecast and need to toggle airplane mode
With the 7.10.14 i didn't noticed this.
Chromecast works perfectly, also i'm not facing problem with 2/3/4G signal.
Wifi is not that great however.
I'm not going to upgrade to latest version until they don't fix this problem.

I'm in italy too but the modem, so far, worked really well for me.
I'm using vodafone and when receiving calls the signal switches back to 3g (very rarely 2g) but never faced any issue. After the call ends the phone switches back again to 3/4g in a few seconds.

I used Tim,maybe it's the problem or my phone have broken antennas.
Hello,
i'm using redmi note 4 snapdragon 3/32 version for almost 1 year 6 months.
Suddenly i am facing network issue.
Though the network bar shows full network but still not receiving any call neither i can call others.
If i change network to gsm only it seems works for a while
but i want a permanent solution.
*i reset phone. Even tried different rom*
if this is a hardware issue. Is this critical?
Thank you.
Maybe it's related to your operator
Some operators switch from 4g to 3g or 2g when you receive a call or try to call someone
maybe your operator has a problem with this switch and so you are not able to call and receive

On Sprint's Network, unlocked bootloader & critical partitions. Anytime I even receive a notification for a phone call coming in, my LTE is dropped instantly. Deny or hang up the call, it comes back. I've read that Sprint's 3G can't handle voice and data at the same time, but this is 4G. Wifi is also completely useless on this phone as it stays connected for about 60 seconds tops.
Tried doing a complete wipe and reset to both Pie stable and Q beta 6, same exact thing. Tried all the network options in settings and nothing.
Does anyone with Sprint have working LTE during a phone call? I'm trying to figure out if it's a **** copy I got from Amazon, or the network. Thanks.

I have the issue. I also can't get LTE+ to work either. I'm on Boost, but they use Sprint. All stock roms and I can't get 4G at all on custom roms. I bought mine directly from Essential.

I can't say anything about Sprint, but VoLte on Verizon behaves the same way for me on Q beta 6. If the radio cycles for any reason I lose VoLte even if it shows selected. I have to toggle it in network settings for it to work.
Just curious, if you go into the phone info with *#*#4636#*#*, does it show that VoLte is provisioned?

It's grayed out for me. I can't enable it. Maybe calling Boost customer service might result in fixing it.
