[Added] integrated call recorder option in Oreo (rooted) - LG G6 Questions and Answers

I wonder if there's a built in call recorder on Oreo firmware, maybe only for some regions, that could be activated on EU stock rooted Oreo firmware.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but that is what @xpirt did to include call recording option on Films, right?
Thank you
Edited: Thanks to xpirt, there's an available zip on post #5 I've updated the title of the thread in case someone is looking for the same

I don't want automatic call recording. And I don't know any app that includes a button on call screen to manually start recording if you want
And a built in call recording will always work better I think, without having to install one more app

enjoy..

Wow, many thanks man! I know you're busy with real life stuff and also have a new smartphone so it's greatly appreciated that you took your time to make this:good::good:

I flashed this zip, but the built in dial app is the same. No recording button appears. Am I doing something wrong?

By adding some lines to the /META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script file you can solve the problems some people are having installing this, especially on the V30 thread.
Code:
ui_print("");
ui_print("Installing... by xpirt");
show_progress(1, 15);
run_program("/sbin/busybox", "umount", "/system");
run_program("/sbin/busybox", "umount", "/vendor");
run_program("/sbin/busybox", "mount", "/system");
run_program("/sbin/busybox", "mount", "/vendor");
delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/LGInCallUI/oat");
delete("/system/priv-app/LGInCallUI/LGInCallUI.apk");
package_extract_dir("system", "/system");
set_perm(0, 0, 0644, "/system/priv-app/LGInCallUI/LGInCallUI.apk");
ui_print("Done!");
ui_print("");
run_program("/sbin/busybox", "umount", "/system");
run_program("/sbin/busybox", "umount", "/vendor");
I tested this on a V20 but it should work for all Oreo phones that share the call app.

Can this also work with the Dual SIM variant (H870DS)?
This device cannot be rooted, to the best of my knowledge, and recently, ACR stopped recording the other side of the conversation on it. I'm really lost.

The recording button is appearing correctly however, the recorded track contains just noise!

This problem has been solved quite long time ago.
If your ROM don't have the call recording, you can try to use dr.Ketan autocall recording. I use that one before (when I use ROM without recording function).
Paste this in system etc and call will work. Make backup

I think he means by using the earpiece as an external speaker, it's been done with the lg g3 to increase the volume as they were the same hardware parts.

Well, he mentioned "mixers path file"
i mean like on Nexus 5x
sorry for misunderstood
This would be awesome !
Finally (when reading again) I figured out what he wish
If earpiece and its amplifier are equal to loudspeaker then is doable. Usually such file(s) are in /system/etc/ With editing snd_soc_sms I've fixed whistling sound in recording on xt925/926.
Could you provide link to the Nexus mod so I can take a look?

Still no solution? (((
I've done a while ago but it's not to loud I'm afraid.
Flash attached file in twrp, ignore wrong description or any errors.
All the script does is replaces original mixer_paths.xml with modified one(added few line)
Also I have manage to enable call recording, x265 compression with any camera and dual sim support on stock rom(should work on any rom) for xt1580 reteu, if anyone interested.

Here you go.
Files should work on any rom, obviously needs TWRP.
Once you'll insert second sim it may take even 5 minutes to get signal on it for forst time.
If anything will go wrong just reflash stock rom (but it shouldn't)

[MOD][MAGISK] GPE Dialer and Contacts Magisk Mod for HTC 10.

Pixel GPE Dialer and Contacts
This mod now works with Android N.
Updated to Google Pixel version of the Dialer and Contacts
I have taken the GPE Dialer and Contacts found here [url]http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68096911&postcount=95[/URL] and made it a Magisk Module. This allows the Dialer to act as though it is installed directly with in the system without actually modifying the system
For information on what Majisk is and how to install it, please read here: [url]http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/mod-magisk-v1-universal-systemless-t3432382[/URL]
This mod was tested on the HTC 10 using Magisk v7.
Only thing you can't do is change your Wi-Fi calling preference. If you are on WiFi preferred, you can't change it unless you disable the MOD and reboot. Make your change then re-rnable the MOD and reboot again. That is the only problem I have. It is the same if you flash the original zip that writes directly to system.
This zip file requires Magisk to be installed. It will not work without Magisk.
Changes sync'd and now available to download in Magisk Manager. Thanks for those testing...
v3.0.0

Note: All updates will only be available through the Magisk Manager going forward.

Just a quick observation I noticed after using this mod for the past few days,
The ice view case works on receiving/rejecting calls with the GPE Dialer, but the caller always shows as "unknown". I'm assuming it's due to the HTC Contacts app integration into Ice View, but just figured I'd mention it. The fact that everything else works flawlessly, is totally awesome.

[FIXED!][Redmi Note 4 SD] Bad audio in videos and bad in call audio quality

In first place I would like to thank user Miroslav, author of this Youtube guide on how to fix this problem con 4x user DartJabba9 for providing the very first flashable zip and Zile995 for keeping up with the hard work!
This is the latest version: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73914743&postcount=188
Just flash with TWRP and enjoy!
Is it possible to create a flashable zip?
Honestly I don't know how. Could someone help us?
I can confirm it's working. I just replaced the two system files you suggested, using Root Explorer. I set the permissions, replaced, rebooted.
Sound is definitely better when recording music, but one must use the front microphone as audio source (can be found in the settings of HI-Q MP3 Recorder, and other audio recording software I guess).

Well my major problem is in-call low mic volume. I have to literally shout at phone to make other person understand what I say. As stated in the description of given video guide, is there a way to fix in-call voice quality?
My current settings, might fix your in call voice quality:
For handset-mic put DEC1 at 96 and DEC2 at 0 (DEC2 is noise cancelling upper mic, I think).
For "handset-stereo-dmic-ef" put "DEC1 Volume" value="105" and "DEC2 Volume" value="105" for higher recording signal.
In build.prop, change these:
ro.qc.sdk.audio.fluencetype=fluence persist.audio.fluence.voicecall=true persist.audio.fluence.voicerec=false persist.audio.fluence.speaker=false

Sorry to hear that it didnt work.
It should work non the less. I'd do a fresh install if you really want this to work. Magisk is the way that works for all of us.

Works fine on OB14 here. Try the July 23th version.
I understand that there are many different configurations and alot of variables that might change how things work for everyone. But here's my setup that works fine with, everything really:
OB14+twrp(codeworx)+magisk(+busybox, +callrecording) +xposed(whole lot of m).

As you can read, it's depending on the region and will be disabled after a while. In Germany it's not working anymore, ob13 it was.
So maybe you live in a region where oneplus allows it.
I am also in Germany, and it has worked since OB14's release day. ; )
Perhaps install busybox and make sure youve got your basics right.
I think that covers it all, best of luck.

Are you talking about the Magisk module https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/themes/app-enable-call-recording-boot-t3634292 or the fact that it is not natively working on ob14?
Oh and I already tried multiple times with stock ob14, busybox(cause I need it for other purposes) and the above mentioned magisk native call rec enabler from @shadowstep. It's not working anymore.
Did you made a clean installation of ob14 or an update from ob13?
