hello
i saw on Nexus 5x that if u modify some parameters on mixers path file u can make work the two speakers stereo surround.
there is any way to make it work on Moto x force too?
thanks
You have to add another speaker first Force has only one

I think he means by using the earpiece as an external speaker, it's been done with the lg g3 to increase the volume as they were the same hardware parts.

Well, he mentioned "mixers path file"
i mean like on Nexus 5x
sorry for misunderstood
This would be awesome !
Finally (when reading again) I figured out what he wish
If earpiece and its amplifier are equal to loudspeaker then is doable. Usually such file(s) are in /system/etc/ With editing snd_soc_sms I've fixed whistling sound in recording on xt925/926.
Could you provide link to the Nexus mod so I can take a look?

Hi dudes! Any news about subj?
Still no solution? (((
I've done a while ago but it's not to loud I'm afraid.
Flash attached file in twrp, ignore wrong description or any errors.
All the script does is replaces original mixer_paths.xml with modified one(added few line)
Also I have manage to enable call recording, x265 compression with any camera and dual sim support on stock rom(should work on any rom) for xt1580 reteu, if anyone interested.

Here you go.
Files should work on any rom, obviously needs TWRP.
Once you'll insert second sim it may take even 5 minutes to get signal on it for forst time.
If anything will go wrong just reflash stock rom (but it shouldn't)

Hi everybody,
This mod will fix every sound issue (sound recorder, camcorder, audio playback...)
Flash works only on twrp recovery !
For official CM12.1 recovery don't flash ! just unzip and copy the files inside and set permissions.
Update : google voice command fixed
Everything works now perfectly !:fingers-crossed:

Up
There are :
- some missing files (audio_platform_info.xml)
- some errors (audio_effects.conf) : DSP broken on PowerAMP in the last update from CyanogenMod (aug.29)
- media_profiles.xml (60fps) / mixer_paths.xml and build.prop were tweaked => clear sound (audio and video recording)
Everything is fixed now !
Enjoy
What' up man ? are you happy now ?
Thanks works better than the original
New update out (OP).
Please flash over the new nightly from 13.09.2014 and up !
Could you explain what this "fix" does in a bit more detail (e.g. what was broken before). Because I think this thread is going to rot and be forgotten because of no proper info on changes... People usually want to know exactly what they flash.
Did you do any volume boosting?
Just saying...

There are a lot of modifications on : build.prop, media_profiles.xml and mixer_paths.xml :
- Z1c doesn't have stereo speaker or mic. I tweaked mixer_paths.xml and media_profiles.xml for this.
- FPS on video recorder was increased on media_profiles.xml (smooth video at 60 fps with better background)
- CyanogenMod always forget to put a file called "audio_platform_info.xml" on amami builds (without this file recorded sound feels crapy) and there are some errors on audio_effects.xml that doesn't match with soundfx and audio_policy.msm8974.so (it brokes DSP Manager on PowerAMP)
No Volume Boost ! (it makes only distorsion and had no effect on sound quality)
This mod is for pure and clear sound as it should be on z1 compact. It's not a placebo !
That's all !
insert a coin and try
Thanks for your work.
Have you tried to get those changes merged into the official CM11 source?
is this needed by all non stock roms? (e.g. AOSPA, AOKP, CarbonROM, OmniRom etc.)

So what exactly are the new sounds? And why werent they part of factory image? Were these taken from n6 or something?
Thanks for this. I seriously can't believe these weren't in the final images. Whether accidentally or intentionally.

No, I think it's messed up. Lollipop sounds were not this quiet before I flashed this. Unless they purposely made the tap sounds quieter. It literally has to be at max volume just to hear it.
If anyone has the sounds contained in the factory image please send it my way. I would like to revert if possible. (I forgot to back up >.>)
Noob question: Will flashing this .zip result in any problems with future OTA updates on Lolipop?
In first place I would like to thank user Miroslav, author of this Youtube guide on how to fix this problem con 4x user DartJabba9 for providing the very first flashable zip and Zile995 for keeping up with the hard work!

Is it possible to create a flashable zip?
Honestly I don't know how. Could someone help us?
I can confirm it's working. I just replaced the two system files you suggested, using Root Explorer. I set the permissions, replaced, rebooted.
Sound is definitely better when recording music, but one must use the front microphone as audio source (can be found in the settings of HI-Q MP3 Recorder, and other audio recording software I guess).

Well my major problem is in-call low mic volume. I have to literally shout at phone to make other person understand what I say. As stated in the description of given video guide, is there a way to fix in-call voice quality?
My current settings, might fix your in call voice quality:
For handset-mic put DEC1 at 96 and DEC2 at 0 (DEC2 is noise cancelling upper mic, I think).
For "handset-stereo-dmic-ef" put "DEC1 Volume" value="105" and "DEC2 Volume" value="105" for higher recording signal.
In build.prop, change these:
ro.qc.sdk.audio.fluencetype=fluence persist.audio.fluence.voicecall=true persist.audio.fluence.voicerec=false persist.audio.fluence.speaker=false

No. It means that, depending on your ROM, trying to record some kinds of audio with the phone's microphone may not produce the best quality recording.

Only phone calls and some video games play audio threw the front speaker, but absolutely no music player will play threw the speakers, headphones only. This only started after I rooted and installed magisk plus several sound mods (viper, dual speaker, audio mod library, Dolby)
I have removed all mods but still no luck, but I was hoping maybe if someone had a stock copy of the audio_effects.config file I could maybe try replacing the one I've currently got (definitely not stock, I believe it's the viper one, or one made by the audio mod library module)
Any other helpful info or suggestions would be great. Thanks

Hi Guys,
READ THE THREAD CAREFULLY
So I Have Modded The mixer_paths_mtp.xml File Present On The Resurrection Remix ROM And I Was Able To Enable Dual Speakers While Playing Music.
Just Go To The Links Down Below, Download The File You Want, Replace The Downloaded mixer_paths_mtp.xml To System/Etc And Set Permission To rw-r-r And Then Reboot. For Oreo The Path Is System/Vendor/Etc
Note :
1. Before Doing, Take A Backup Of Your Current mixer_paths_mtp.xml So That You Will Be Able To Go Back To Normal If Something Happens.
2. I Only Tested It With Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 Final ROM. So If You Want To Try It On Other ROMs, First Back Up mixer_paths_mtp.xml Then Download And Replace The File To Root/System/Etc For Nougat. And For Oreo Replace The File To Root/System/Vendor/Etc. Also Don't Forget To Set Permissions And Then Reboot
3. If Your Device Bootloops, I Am Not Responsible, Just Make A BackUp Before Flashing Or Replacing.
4. There's Not Much Difference In Sound Unless You Listen In 100% Sound.
5. The Max Volume MOD Will Increase The Sound Of Front Earpiece And The Difference Is Noticeable. But Use It On Your Own Risk Cause It Pushes The Earpiece Level To Maximum.
6. I Am Not Responsible If You Damage Your Front Earpiece
Drop Your mixer_path_mtp.xml From System/Etc If You Want Me To Make It For The ROM You're Using.
Working On : Resurrection Remix, AEX
Working Alongside Viper And Dolby, Oreo, MiUi 9

Well, it works somewhat. Tried the "normal" version and I have to put the phone up to the ear like I am making a call to hear anything out of that speaker. Holding the phone away, the bottom speaker overshadows the output of the front speaker completely, could just as well be off.
I did not try the max version, because I am a little chicken
I am using the changes for low call volume / low volume on video recording from this forum. I checked for possible conflicts, but they should not interfere if I am not mistaken. https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/how-to/fixed-bad-audio-videos-finally-t3625069
