Hey!
Since the update to 4.4.4 I lost the ability to recorder calls using the Xposed Module - Xperia Dialer Mods. So I came across this post on AndroPlus, downloaded and installed the apk directly into system/priv-app folder, rebooted and allowed recording in call settings menu. It works perfectly !

Its nice to keep it all OEM , thanks for the input though. I hand't realised that you could record without root now.
I searched it but couldn't find. Is there a mod for N910C to have native call recorder?

Still working 100 % )
check it out if you want to ?
Plse Note i edited attached screenshot caller top part
I have also noticed other 3 rd party mods" for call record" in Themes and Apps section of Note 4
(I think it could be @ dr ketan that did the mod , not sure )
good luck
The Official Xposed working well on RN2 CM12.1
Do a NANDROID backup
Install XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk
Flash xposed-v79-sdk22-arm64.zip in recovery (sdk22 is for Android 5.1)
Enjoy
Thanks nice shaering.

Do you mean call recording? This Call Recorder works good on CM12.1, select the "Voice Communication" recording method, may be ACR also works but I haven't tried.
I mean the Xposed modules that I installed from its repository and the Xposed management window won't show those modules after using a while. I only see once at 1st time I installed. It's so weird...

I have never seen call recording functionality in stock Note 4 rom. My device(910G) is rooted with Xposed framework(unofficial alt version) installed. You can use the XTouchwiz module in it to enable call recording option. There are some playstore apps that do the same thing as well(In which case you don't have to root).

Thanks for the information. Could you please suggest few of the Play Store Apps that might help me.
I have same problem. Call recording is gone. It only record voice throw microphone. On 5.1.1 it worked well. Maybe we could wait for developers of recording apps to make compatibility update.

If nothing works, root and use xposed to get recording feature..
Hi, I recently figured out Lineage OS have native call recording feature and is not enabled for all countries. So I asked for some help and found that it is possible to enable call recording by using RRO.
Lineage Call Recording Enabler (Lineage Dialer RRO):This is a Runtime Resource Overlay for the dialer app in LineageOS to enable call recording in all countries.
LineageOS native call recording is enabled or disabled depending on your current location and the those countries are listed here, https://github.com/LineageOS/androi...ler/callrecord/res/xml/call_record_states.xml. One can enable or disable call recording by updating those values and this is what this overlay does.
Below I have provided download link for flashable zip files to flash with recovery or magisk. Flash recovery version with recovery and magisk version with magisk.
Tested on:
Lineage OS 19.1 + Lineage OS Recovery
Lineage OS 20 + Magisk 25.2
How to build RRO and flashable ZIP for recovery and Magisk (OPTIONAL):I was too lazy to put all details here so please read the README.md.

is it compatible with LOS 20 recovery?
Thanks,

Yes it is. If you use magisk, magisk module is recommended.
The Magisk module works perfectly for me on LineageOS 20 for the OnePlus 7Pro. Thank you!
- First of all many thanks for your efforts, it's really appreciated
- I've installed it on LineageOS 18.1 and it works fine but I could not find any calls recording settings except the output file format, please advise...

It only enables call recording feature that was disabled in the country. It does not add any feature.

I successfully installed and enabled the module using Magisk, but I am unable to locate the recording button or configuration settings even during call.

Sorry for my mistake. I just realized that my country code is IR and that call recording is allowed by default. However, I'm still unable to record calls. Are there any other restrictions that might be causing this issue? I use LOS 19.1

I don't know any other restrictions. AFAIK recording is only enabled/disabled based on county. Could you ask in official LineageOS thread and update here too?

Check if your country is listed here. https://github.com/2shrestha22/line.../blob/main/rro/res/xml/call_record_states.xml

I haven't been able to find a solution to the problem. Firstly, I checked the source code for my LOS 19.1 and it seems to be okay and my country is allowed for call recording in the config file. Then, I tried to get help in the IRC channel of LineageOS, but unfortunately, I couldn't find any useful information there. I even searched and read through sites like Reddit, but in the end, I still couldn't find a solution.
As a last resort, I installed BCR, and it works great, but it's not the native call recorder.

Yes, my country is listed: km. And I discovered that the record button only appears when the call is answered and not when it ringing. And the automatic recording doesnt start, you have to press manually and there is no option for that, the only option for recording is audio format. Thx anyway. I think BCR is a better choice for now.
Thank you for this!
