Hi all,
I've been drying to get Ethernet working on my S8. I got a RTL8153 based adapter. When I disable wifi and select to turn on Ethernet, it says "turning on", but then the while settings page closes and backs out.
What should I do to troubleshoot this?

Recently, my 8525 will not be detected by windows when connected to my PC; it doesn't even charge. It also doesn't charge even when connected to the AC adapter.
Other then that it works fine. The ROM I'm currently using is Final Storm v2.10, but I don't think this is the issue. I was able to connect and sync via usb for a while, and I am still able to sync via bluetooth.
I'd be extremely grateful for anyones thoughts on this issue.

I have had same problem occasionally.
Check that "advanced Network Functionality" is not checked. Depending on the ROM, I think its an Activesync option, or under 'connections' tab under settings, called "USB to PC"

Hi, does anyone have any idea how to "activate" (if that's the word) the Ethernet on the MOJO - obviously it usually connects by Wireless, but just wondered if it was possible to Connect via the Ethernet. I'm running on CM12 not stock so not sure if there are menu choices for this sort of thing.

I switched my MOJO to Ethernet a few days ago, and it "just worked." I plugged the Ethernet cable in, turned off Wi-Fi in the drop-down settings, and it's still working. I'm using unjustified's CM12.1 as well.

Thanks - I found the ethernet plug had disconnected from the router - that would explain alot
Appradio connection works.
Bluetooth connection works.
Mirrorlink connection does not work.
When i connect my note 4 via usb to the Pioneer AVH-x7800bt I get "Please reset the smart phone settings".
When i turn on Settings- NFC Sharing - Mirrorlink on my Note 4 I get "Incompatible USB".
Mirrorlink forces USB connection to charge and the Pioneer wants USB connection to be MTP.
Anyone any ideas?
Gave up on mirrorlink. Now fighting with MHL and App Radio Unchained Reloaded.

On the bright site Note 4 screen does turn up on the Pioneer!
The hole idea is to get TomTom Go on the Pioneer.
Discovered that TomTom Go and button savior (non root) do not like each other.
App radio unchained is not working.
So, I finished the install on my new head unit last night and everything works beautifully except the wifi. It will not come on at all. I go into settings and click the wifi on button and it just sits there "To show available connections turn on your wifi." I was thinking about doing a factory reset on the unit, but I can't find the password anywhere. From everything I've read it's probably going to be a hardware issue so I'd like to get a USB hub and a USB wifi dongle, this would be cheaper and faster then sending it back to Eonon. Everyone says you have to get a powered USB hub for this to work, so where are you guys plugging these hubs in at to get power? All of them say 5v 2.5 amps and that's a lot less then my truck puts out. Anyways, I guess my questions are... Does anyone have any suggestions on troubleshooting the built in wifi (password to do a factory reset maybe). What USB hub would you suggest? How are you connecting the hub to your vehicle's power? What USB wifi dongle would you suggest?

There are several passwords. I have the same radio, wifi works fine for me.

Last night I was getting everything put together and I had everything disconnected, after I reconnect the stereo I turned my truck on to make sure it was working and to my surprise wifi came on. I was so happy! I turned the truck off and back on reset the stereo and wifi was still working. So, I hooked everything back up, plugged in my usb camera and usb hub, turned the truck back on and wifi was not working again. After some tinkering around I figured out if I have anything plugged into the blue usb cable wifi doesn't work. Here is a video of what it is doing. For now I just wont use that usb port.
Did you end up working out what the issue is or just replace? I have a similar issue (haven't checked the USB where is only connects to my mobile hotspot. Every other WIFI doesn't show up. Will need to check the USB.

Hi guys, I have an old Galaxy A40 and I like to share its wi-fi conecction ovet ethernet. I tried with an USB type-c Hub but I can't turn on the USB tethering option and the ethernet option in the menù is only for input connection. It's a problem with some missing drivers or I need an ethernet-USBC adapter? (I use the HUB with my new OnePlus and it's ok but on OnePlus I have the Ethernet Tethering option that missing in the A40)
I'd like to share the connection with a router and I can't use USB ports because the router doesn't allow me to use a smartphone as input.
Hope someone can help me. Thanks.
