Installed Stock Firmware - Bluetooth issues - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey XDA!
Yet another cry for help!
I found my old SGS4 and saw that it was working-ish. It was rooted, which I did not want.
So I found a guide here on XDA and installed stock software on the phone. Everything seems fine besides bluetooth issues.
Side story; the phone is for my dad, but he HAS to use a bluetooth headset for work.
I've been trying to find Danish firmware as that's where I'm from, and where it's needed. Yet I've been sucessful in finding Nordic Countries downloads, sadly with mostly broken links or download times of - way too long-.
So what I need help with, if possible are following;
Stock Firmware for Nordic Countries
How to solve Bluetooth issues

Have you looked on updato.com or samsung-firmware.org for stock ROMs?

[Q] XXJG7 Firmware

Hi Guys,
Ive searched the forum, to no avail...
I would like to flash my Apollo with FroYo, but for safety's sake im trying to find a copy of my original firmware so I can flash it back and use KIES if needed.
If I type in *#1234# I get:
PDA I5800XXJG7
Phone I5800XXJG3
CSC I5800XXJG5
Does any kind person have the relevant files handy for upload please?
Also, If I flash a new firmware should they all match the original (ie the I5800XX part).
Thanks for your help
I posted the same question a week ago. I didn't get a straight answer. I had the same firmware before i flashed to XXJPM. Your firmware is XXJG7, but I didn't find it on samfirmware. I found XWJG7, but I think that is not the same, because there is xxjpf and xwjpf - the first one being older. To update via kies when the official update comes u need an official firmware, XXJG7 is official since u got it with your phone, but u cant find it, can you? So you need any official firmware, but i don't know witch are official except XXJG7... Anyway don't bother with this, you can flash froyo without backup, i did it and nothing went wrong but be cautius and folow the steps closly and when the official update comes it will be avaliable to flash via odin. until then flash any non official froyo
I have this rom and am uploading it now its I5800XXJG3 - csc xxjg5 - phone xxjg5 - pda xxjg7 will post a link soon
here you go
megaupload.com/?d=OYHZW0WX
Thanks
I see the numbers are slightly different, does it matter?
I have also read that flashing the bootloader can cause hard-brick issues, is it better not to flash the bootloader?
i did not flash the bootloader just to be on the safe side, not sure what the cl447760 & cl460190 mean all i tell you is kies see's this as the latest firmware for my phone the uk .
i got the phone three weeks aga at the carphone warehouse it is unbranded and unlocked
Thanks again for your help. I have now upgraded mine to the standard XXJPM FroYo with ODIN. Just out of interest, is there a way I could have got the old firmware off my phone into files like you uploaded?
i think you can dd them to the sd card but not sure how to do it , i googled for ages to find my that firmware on some random site because i did not like froyo after i flashed it
ive gone back to 2.1 until i can find a fix for icons not staying on the home screen from apps installed on the sd card after a reboot. other than that i was pleased with it.

Samsung i9000 ROM flashing issues. (Help needed)

Hello everyone. First off thanks for reading this post.
A friend of mine has a Samsung Galaxy S i9000t. He didn't do a backup of his ROM from before doing a firmware update. Well he's now in a bit of a problem. The new firmware installed fine. But it seems to have affected his cell radio as the phone is only bouncing between 1 or no bars and not getting any cell signal (though it is seeing another carrier other than his carrier).
His i9000 is the UK version and we've been trying to find back his original 2.3.3 ROM (which was installed via kies), but with no luck. Wifi is working fine and I would say everything else is as well other than the cell radio.
Any help you can give would be much appreciated.....thanks.
Well, most firmware can be found at samfirmware, but there might be other solutions as well. What did he flash ? (and you proably are in the wrong section, btw)
jc
Thanks for the quick reply. I think he's tried a few of them now, but the cell radio issue hasn't improved. He's currently on Gingerbread 2.3.4 XXJVQ.
Didn't mean to post in the wrong area....where would be the right place to seek help.
The right place to post.

In my opinion, just reflash to a new firmware using Odin.

Samsung s4 sc04e docomo

I just want to ask quick question that if i download samsung stock firmware from sammobile will this be ok with my wifi or camera and mic problem

this is an only stock which i successfully installed into my s4 i dun know japanese or vietnamese this mobile is!! but there still a wifi turn on problem.. and now i am going to download new update of lollipop which came after above linked version will that new stock rom fix my wifi problem or if not then what should i do.. i am desperate to get back to daily use of my s4 but could not find a complete rom.. my mobile is rooted will this cause any problem.. if someone has grip on this issue i would rather ask him/her to guide me like a newbie it would highly be appreciated.
thank you.
How did the wifi problem occur?
Boot into download/Odin mode and confirm the model # before flashing anything else.

There's no sound after flashing stock firmware

Audio doesn't work after flashing firmware
What I did
So I decided to fix an old problem I had where the Camera/Flash didn't work after flashing Lolipop Firmware to my SM-G530H
I first started flashing old 4.4.4 kitkat XCU firmware to my phone, didn't work out very well due to the bootloader not wanting to be downgraded, of course I didn't realise this and I just kept trying to flash incompatible ROMs
I realised this eventually,then I flashed XCU 5.0.2
I realised that my phone's Baseband was XXU so I fixed that problem
So I did that, it worked, my Camera and flash light worked flawlessly....
Then I realised that audio straight up refuses to work
What I tried
- Flashing Different Roms
- Flashing Different Firmwares of the same baseband
What I thought is happening
at one point I flashed some random PIT,CSC and "PHONE" files, which ended up not working in the end, could that be the culprit?
if so (this turned out wrong)
Note
-Audio doesn't work regardless of whether or not a headset is plugged in
Could someone please tell me a legitimate source to find 5.0.2 replacements for those?
I went all over the internet looking for the solution, couldn't find any.
(Apologies in advance if I sound entitled in this thread)

Need help with a galaxy s4 gt-i9505

Hi everyone,
just a long-time forum-lurker in the dark here, now I'm here asking for help to restore my galaxy s4.
Here's the story:
gt-i9505 no brand, italian official firmware 4.4.4 (kitkat), never updated, only used towelroot to gain rood adn unistall couple of unused apps.
everything worked fine
Then i decided to upgrade to lollipop.
downloaded last samsung lollipop rom for my phone from sammobile, made a full backup via TWRP Recovery, and installed lollipop via Odin.
Then the nightmare begun :
1st problem, no modem, no connection, only wifi, i restored EFS, still not working, reinstalled modem via odin and then i got my imei and connection again.
2) think i've tried to change the rom to a custom downloaded here (i don't even remember the name), then i tried couple other roms.
this as far as i remember
Now the phone has a samsung original lollipop rom, wifi won't turn on, data not working, knox status is obviously altered (so i cannot restore it via kies or whatever the software name is now) BUT It overheats a lot after few minutes and i'm forced to shut it off to not damage it.
I'd like to restore it to a full working condition, i think i've messed up with bootloaders, modems and roms from different android versions.
can anyone help ?
Current status is

Hey, @dokrobei
Take a look on my Guide.
You need the guide clean install from the scratch. Please read it carefully till the end. There avaible links with all necessary stuff like modem/bootloaders/stock rom-firmware/recommend customs roms etc.
Hi @Retrial, thanks for the answer..
I've managed to reinstall stock KitKat 4.4.2 and working modem drivers, following another tutorial here. Now Wi-Fi, 3g and bt works fine, BUT the phone overheats a lot. It's not a battery problem and sure it's software related 'cause it wasn't like this before my stupid first attempt to upgrade to lollipop.
I've searched the forum for the overtheating near the flash zone problem, some say that is a microsd problem (wich I removed), some other that's a battery problem (wich is not in my case).
Do you think I should start from scratch again following your guide? IHow do I know wich modem / bootloader is right for my phone? I think the problem is there, maybe wrong modem version..

First of all there is no need to still be on KitKat...a lot of apps don't support Kitkat nowdays...and is outdated.
I will recommend first to proper upgrade to Lollipop stock and then use some of the latest android Pie Custom JDC Roms by following my complete guide. As I said above there is a full guide with links and very well explained steps. The latest Firmware for our S4 i9505 is QK1 - No matter which country you will choose, and it's recommened to have the latest. Just read it carefully till the end and check the asterisks.
The overheating it may be no compatible Modem/Bootloader since you messed up with Lollipop. To check what Modem and Bootloder you can simply install "Device HW Info" or "Phone Info" app and check.
Let me know how it goes, and if you have any question or problem feel free to ask. Good Luck :fingers-crossed:

installed compatible bootloader and modemas per your guide (PK2)
rebooted to check if everything was working using stock before going to custom...and...
it started overheating as soon as i tuned on wifi. i only managed to install phoneinfo to check wich modem i have as you suggested, then i had to turn the phone off it off cause it became reeally hot and i thought i could break it. modem chip is "mdm9215m". any suggestion? maybe i should try to instale all the lollipop modems / bootloaders from your post...

After every flash the device become hot. Let the rom settle for a while.
If you have PK2 Firmware then you need PK2 Modem and Bootloader. So no, don't try other modem/bootloader.

I flashed it last night and checked if it was working this morning. I'm sure the high temps are not related to the usage or to the battery. It become hot eachtime i turn on wifi. Havent tried with data but I think it will be the same thing.
