Well there is this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/how-to/le-pro-3-survive-water-test-d-t3514707
I wouldn't say mine was the least bit resistant to any type of liquid.
I had a screen protector which required the application of a small bit of liquid adhesive to the sides of the screen to fill the gap between the 2.5D screen of the le Pro 3 Elite and the glass protector.
Half of the screen was left with water-like damage after the application.
The liquid has seeped in the LCD screen.
There are also other people who got similar issues from applying the liquid adhesive.
For what it's worth, some of the devices may not have had their screen glued properly to the phone and I got one of those.
The leeco is not particularly well-known for their Quality Control.

No, but asking bcs i want to make underwater video guess i need to use tricks, like put it in a transparent bag etc xd
Ah, well I was semi joking...I dropped my S3 (x522) in the toilet but it still works ha. I use it for my secondary (WiFi only) phone. I'd check for you but I'm doin a few things at, but check gsmarena.com and see if it has an IP rating of at least 65, if not 67 or higher.

That shouldn't be the leeco's fault because those devices are probably refurbished or repaired devices. I saw one of them having touch problem out of the box and I even opened one x720 which water had damaged its motherboard and realized the display is not original and isn't glued properly. (Original display has a black cover over its flexicable which in this case it was all yellow and also original displays have synaptics touch ic on them while non-originals don't have)

I'm fed up of dusts under the screen, every product I buy seems to get it after some time.
I'm sure it didn't have this issue out of the box, as I would have realized. Today, my screen got dirty after playing around with it with greasy hands so I thought I should clean it with the microfiber cloth that came with my TV. I was cleaning it, but turns out the cloth wasn't clean either. Anyway it got even more dust on the screen, and when I cleaned the screen, there was dust under the screen that just didn't go away.
There is just 1 of them, it is only visible under direct light or when the screen is white. It is hard to see, but knowing it is there freaks me out. I don't think I can get a replacement either..
What should I do? Live with it?
Sadly only solution is to send it to samsung for a cleanup maintenance. Thats what i did with my phones
That's a solution but I don't really want to do it just for one pixel... And it's on the far bottom-right, not at a place that's easily seemable. But knowing it's there gives me OCD..

Are you sure its not scratches in the glass, afaik the touch screen would be glued to the digitizer like most other touch devices, so i dunno how you got dust under there.

The dust would be between the top layer of glass and the screen, I had a piece of dust near the edge of the screen that appeared soon after I got the tab, tapped the tab on edge and the dust disappeared never to return.
it is because the builder quality issue. the form between two layer not sealed well.
sometime the duct gets through. it is annoying issue for the phone
It's not at a very-obvious location, and it's really, really hard to see while using it. Now what's smitching my mind is, did it get in there or was it there all the time?
It's a horrible experience to live with it, i lived with it for like 5 months my g2 had a lot of dust under, so what i did is sell it on craigslist, but i chose to meet at night to do the trade so he wouldnt see the dust cuz you really cant see it at night but, i sold it cheap leaving room for the guy to send it back to the factory to fix te problem, selling it could be the best shot for you because if you got dust in there will be more comming in to join the party

That isn't possible to get dust there. I dropped my tab and broke the wimpy gorilla glass. I replaces it and I can tell you the glue that binds the glass to the digitizer is very solidly stuck! Are you using a screen protector? Possibly there?

I dropped my belt buckle on the tab, and got a small line about 2mm on the screen, the LCD is ok, but the top glass is cracked. I have a screen protector, might have kept it from getting bigger.

I've had some of them under screen protector but never under the screen itself.
semi-related, but my ipod (not a touch, a video) has a ton of pieces of dirt underneath the glass, presumably on top of the lcd
Tears in my eyes!

Has anyone ever used an invisible shield, they say it's better than a normal
screen protector and it's easy to install, without any dust under it.
Is that true?
First time trying it. Watched some videos on line before I try it.
Below are my experiences I would like to share. See attachments for before and after pictures.
1 Make sure you heat it enough. Some people mentioned hair blower not enough. Some people mentioned yellow spots with heatgun. I was a little hesitated on heating regarding yellow spot warnings but I ended up separated the lcd and digitizer layers on top left corner but everything still functions fine just visually not perfect.
2 I used guitar picks and even metal sheet to separate glass and lcd. I don't actually see in anyway you could damage the lcd if you heat it enough and make sure you go in flat.
3 I used LOCA glue. Started with building dams on four sides with double sided tapes. I would recommend 2 mL at least. I used 1.6 mL and was not enough. Ended up with some small air bubbles and after curing showed up as small black circles which affects the viewing a little bit.
Seems like you didnt clean the dust in the second picture.
You must clean very well before putting the new glass.

It was because first applied not enough glue added more but could not get rid of all air bubbles. cleaning was not too hard with alcohol.
added
1 temperature of hotplate 55C not enough, 70C worked well.
2 tried molybdenum wire broke. did not try floss. and really don't need them since guitar pick and even metal sheet worked well.

Wow...this is awesome. Where did you get the replacement glass from? and how much did it cost?
I accidentally dropped my Note 2 from above waist high, the impact taken at edge of the device got passed on to the larger portion of the glass, and the glass developed long cracks (but LCD and touch response was working fine). I took the device to the official service center, they said they had to replace the entire screen assembly (glass + LCD screen + top face plate) as they said they can't replace only the glass. The charged me something like $150 bucks for the replacement.
Wish Samsung had designed this better to make the edges shock proof. Also, I thought the note 2 had gorilla glass, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Search eBay, etradesupply.com or parts4repair.com cost would be approx $20.

As you will no doubt be aware all of the external parts of the note 2 are easily replaceable. It's literally it's best feature, what's the point in having beautiful sleek aluminium phone if it's hidden under a case because you're scared to death of scratching it. Forget the case, go o'natural.
(Still I'll keep my screen protector on thanks, don't fancy doing this after a night in the keys pocket, d'oh!)

Dont 7se a hair dryer to heat up i tried that way and ended up snapping the screen itself as it didnt heat up enough so new screen replacment was in order and expensive
Only had my YD206 for 2 days, and the rear screen got some bad looking scratches. Was in my pocket with only a very small (thumb size) aerosol dispenser which apart from a smooth rounded edge body has a plastic cap with so-so sharp top edges. Anyway, it left a couple of deep looking scratches that won't rub away.
I wish I had taken some pics before I started, so your just have to believe me:
I very carefully (and with my heart in my mouth) applied a tiny amount of toothpaste with my finger to the deepest scratch near the top of the screen. I used circular motions with my finger for about 15 seconds and then another 15 seconds with a kitchen towel. I then cleaned it off with a little water and a clean kitchen towel. Once dry I could barely see the original marks so I repeated it on a longer scratch/scuff on the middle of the screen. The marks which were very obvious to any casual user are now almost invisible.
However, I've observed that if a put a water drop on an area of the screen that I didn't use the toothpaste on, the droplet beads and will roll off if you tilt the device. If I put a droplet on a treated area it disperses and leaves a dark wet patch. This will disappear if the you dry it completely.
This leaves me to belief that the so called Gorilla Glass 3 (advertised as on the rear screen too) is not so, but is a cheap liquid glass coating which I have just rubbed off.
I have since ordered some liquid glass protector from Amazon (Crystalusion Liquid Glass - product no: B0094EETOG), maybe that will stay on and offer some protection. I don't really want to put a film protector on the back, it would spoil the look and feel. I will post the results.
I was just wondering whether I should rub the whole of the rear display with toothpaste to prime it for the liquid glass. Any thoughts?
Interesting observation. Have any one applied a tempered glass to the back e-ink screen?
I agree, on the Chinese phones, both screens are made from cheap glass, easily scratches and cracks. Curved gorilla glass must cost a lot!
It makes me wonder about the battery and other internal electronics too.
Great idea about the toothpaste.
I ordered a film for the EPD display.

Why are you saying so? YD206 should just differ in LTE bands, the phone is the same.
By the way which film for EPD display you ordered? I want to try the one described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/yotaphone-one/accessories/screen-protector-t3097978/page1
But I can't find it anymore.
I am saying phones from Chinese retailers all seem to have components that differ in quality from the old yotaphones assembled in Singapore. I have only a yd206 but I imagine Yd201 is the same. Real Gorilla glass does not scratch and break so easily.

Thanks for heads up on polywatch, that looks very interesting so I might get some. After using the toothpaste the other day, I bought another brand (Arm & Hammer) and was conscious that it was more gritty than the stuff I used on the phone (Colgate). I wouldn't have liked to use that on the rear screen.
To add to the Gorilla glass comments, if you go to the corning_dot_com web site they list the manufacturers that are licensed/authorized to use it. Yotaphone are not listed unless or course the phones are built by one of the listed suppliers. Of course that would suggest that the Russian built phones don't use Gorilla glass either - Any comments from Yotaphone on this (if your listening of course)?
I managed to drop my YD206 in my garage. Tried to catch it mid-air but failed miserably so things got worse by spinning like crazy before hitting on the rough concrete. the phone flipped a few times on the concrete for 40-50cm before coming to rest on the front screen.
Bad news are: Back glass is shattered at the lower right "corner" where the first impact seemed to be.
Good news are: Front screen and frame don't have a single, not even tiny scratch! Even though it flipped like crazy and i saw dusty and dirty hit spots where the front screen hit the edgy concrete. EPD still works 100% and glass fragments seem to hold in place (except for a small edge missing in the corner.) I'm impressed and I bet my front screen would be gone if it wasn't some higher quality glass.
I agree, it's only the curved glass that is a cheap fake version. Front glass scratches easily but seems tough.
Finally got the Crystalusion and applied it. I didn't bother to prime the rest of the phone like I said I might and I didn't need too.
Now the phone surface beads water drops and the areas I rubbed down don't absorb water like they did before.
Whether or not the surface will be protected by the coating I don't know. It doesn't feel any different, so only time will tell if it resists scratching and abrasion.
If I remember I will revisit this thread say 4 or 6 months in the future and report back.
I applied a film to the EPD back of mine, I used the supplied wet and dry wipes but there were still a few bubbles. It was extremely difficult to get rid of the bubbles, some remained.
The EPD touch screen works fine still, the phone looks almost as good as before. The film did not stick as well on curved sides as on front, but ok.
But, as someone has already written, the clarity of the screen has improved greatly, there is no more "matte" appearance (due to removal of the cheap coating). It looks like a transparent plain glass screen now. In short the EPD looks much clearer. I love EPD screen now and I am using it much more, well, ALWAYS, in fact. 11 hours battery.
The Yotaphone 2 phones bought from China EPD have NO gorilla glass is my conclusion, I agree with apludgate, just this cheap coating. The huge drop in price of the yotaphone in 2015/16 begins to become clearer, but I am very pleased to have had the chance to buy a Yotaphone. It would be interesting to know the REAL technical differences of the Chinese and Russian phone specs.
Now just awaiting next drop of phone of course

Where have you found back screen film? And how manage to use it even if the film doesn't stick on curved sides? It sould peel off eventually...
I also would like to see if the clarity improves, and what are the cons of not having the standard coating anymore.
I found glass and film on aliexpress (of course), only 3-4 usd for a set of 2 pieces.
It sticks, but not so well on curved sides as you can see from the photo. Yes it will peel off eventually.
But the vast improvement in clarity was surprising.
The fake "gorilla" glass, no doubt, offers very little protection, it was just added to make it look like a genuine yotaphone.
I would advise all owners of yotaphones bought in China to buy silicon Bumper and screen protection.

Did Not know they used No ? Glas.
Due to 2.5 temepred glass does Not fit that perfect so i wanted to ask If someone has info about the quality of the used glass against scratches e.g.?
Thx
P10 lite has just normal glass. No scratch resistance what-so-ever. So be very careful with it. Also note that the glass on both the front and back can really easily scratch if using a flip cover. Even though the touch flip covers from Huawei are beautiful, they will scratch the screen if any microscopic little piece of dirt comes between the cover and the screen (and it absolutely will).

Personal experience with three of the devices. Two using the flip cover from Huawei, one blue and one black (color of the cover). Both have markings from the edges of the flip cover and have multiple small scratches on the screen. It's quite bad. And they've been handled with care.

I've heard of multiple devices getting scratches from covers and any type of glass can be scratched. It's obviously cheap glass used on this phone but I doubt it's just 'normal' glass. Perhaps they went for better shatter resistance instead. Huawei isn't saying where they get the glass but I'm assuming it's of Chinese make.
Some of my older phones that had Gorilla glass have been more scratched up than this but that's of course not really saying much. Mine is without screen protection and has no noticeable scratches so I suspect it's the cover you used that did the damage. Wouldn't be the first time.
Hey guys,
I've noticed the black (plastic/glue?) part at the edge of my screen has fallen off right at the left upper corner. Now I can see light sipping between the screen and the edge of the phone. Do you guys have any recommendation for repair glue so I could seal that part to prevent any water damage? Thanks.

Yeah, that little strip was a bad design.
The LOCA glue normally used for mobile phone screen probably a bit too thin & runny to fill an open hole, so I'd be looking at a ceramic chip repair kit (if you can get suitable colour) or maybe a clear epoxy (though not sure how well it'll stick to ceramic). I don't think anyone has a proven solution so far.

From my experience replacing the display on this phone, the thin frame/bezel where the glass fits is actually not ceramic. It feels like some sort of a hard plastic that you can actually scrape and shave a thin layer off with a sharp blade (i discovered that while cleaning out the old adhesive). I tried scraping a semi-exposed edge of the back ceramic plate with a blade - very different feeling. My phone also has a tiny damage to this front bezel in the corner which is a "nick", unlike a chip or a crack you would expect in a ceramic material.
so do you guys have any advice for the type of glue that could be used to fill up the gap?
I have replaced the screen on my phone and used E6000 glue, it is clear and does not run like super glue.
Edit: they also make it in black.
