Questions about the LEX650 Model - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

Why can't I find any customs roms of it? Can I install a x72x rom on it without any trouble?

because there's none.
that model is the LeEco Le Pro 3 AI Edition, and it uses the Mediatek Helio X27 SOC.
Mediatek does not release the code sources for it's chips, therefore it's pretty hard (or impossible) to develop custom roms for phones using their chips.
obviously you cannot flash roms from the X72X models in yours as the SOC is completely different.

you might be able to flash a custom TWRP and root your phone, as there's a bit of development for the X650/X651 in the AI Edition section of this forums.
but don't expect more than that.

Hold on m8, we all are waiting for the release of kernel sources. Only after that, stable ROMs could be built. Xiaomi has assured us that they'll release the sources soon, hopefully a lot of devs will join us too when the sources are out but at the moment, you'll have to suffice with what we have right now, we all have to.
It'll take some time, relax. I know Xiaomi is slow in this particular thing.
And, we can't really have a bug-less ROM until we have the proper device sources. Remember, Xiaomi devices do take quite some time to get a stable ROM because of the late release of sources by the company.
Just wait for 1 more month and Redmi 3S kernel source will be released..
Confused , i am planning to buy the Redmi 3s plus the 2gb ram + 32gb version of Redmi 3 prime that is released offline , can anyone of you tell me if i can flash custom roms of redmi 3s prime to the redmi 3s plus (everything is same in 3s plus and 3s plus except the ram that is 1gb less in redmi 3s plus and also it is available offline ) .
Bhaiyo aur unki behno hold ur horses..kernel sources aa jaane do tab tak chaddi pehne raho. Theres an sea of possibility at the end of this tunnel.

Redmi 3s and Redmi 3 pro, are quite similar by device, one would maybe say that Redmi 3s is performing better in certain tasks tho. It's a bit in the eye of the beholder what he judge as a better device, you can find links with google for direct comparision! I head the graphics chip in 3S is more advanced tho, but there until now has to make use of it.
I'd urgently recommend 3gb, this extra money will give you longer fun with the device. Ram is important.
PS: Next time as questions like that in a seperate thread to avoid OT

Maybe it's additionally important for you guys to know, that there will be many devs for the 3s when the sources are out, IMHO. From what i sensed Of course, my views not always have to be correct.

Kernel 4.4 for Snapdragon 650

It seems that in their latest kernel release, Sony has ported kernel 4.4 for all of their devices, including Xperia X which has the same SoC as Redmi Note 3 does, Snapdragon 650. Is anyone trying to port it over? Does anyone think it is feasible to do so? I have been trying to but I don't have much experience so I haven't got it to boot yet. It would be really awesome not to be stuck at an ancient kernel version...
Sony didn't share their sources yet.
Plus alot of stuff doesn't work on Xperia x with the new kernel

X720 vs X722

Hi, I was looking for Le pro 3 (X720) to buy, but actually I only find the model X722.
So, I would like to buy for use oreo rom like AIC 13.1.
For this purpose it's OK? Just go ahead?

I think x720 here:
http://www.dx.com/p/letv-x720-andro...ram-64gb-rom-rose-gold-852491694#.Wld7ZN-WZPa
x722 would be ok I think I have x722 running Aicp Oreo 13.1 and some Nougat roms you can use.

oops, Sorry x720 is sold out on the website in the link
The x720 has more support, and the x722 ROMs are still kind of buggy, from what I gather. If you buy the x722 be careful--the official 26s software may cause your phone to get bricked, so never update to it, and of your phone comes with it out of box, downgrade to the LeEco developer ROM using the stock recovery, NOT TWRP. There's no QFIL for this phone like there is for the x720 (which doesn't work for the x722).
x722 is far cheaper and far better value for money (x720 is good too, but x722 is just crazy good)

Redmi 4a Rom

So I had searched for devices with the Snapdragon 425, I I had found the Redmi 4a on the list. Now, I went on the forum for the device and found lots of Oreo roms... I was wondering if because they have the same chipset, could their roms be ported to our phone (Qualcomm) to bring us Oreo??

Nope; be nice if ROM adaptation was that simple.
