X720 vs X722 - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

Hi, I was looking for Le pro 3 (X720) to buy, but actually I only find the model X722.
So, I would like to buy for use oreo rom like AIC 13.1.
For this purpose it's OK? Just go ahead?

I think x720 here:
http://www.dx.com/p/letv-x720-andro...ram-64gb-rom-rose-gold-852491694#.Wld7ZN-WZPa
x722 would be ok I think I have x722 running Aicp Oreo 13.1 and some Nougat roms you can use.

oops, Sorry x720 is sold out on the website in the link

The x720 has more support, and the x722 ROMs are still kind of buggy, from what I gather. If you buy the x722 be careful--the official 26s software may cause your phone to get bricked, so never update to it, and of your phone comes with it out of box, downgrade to the LeEco developer ROM using the stock recovery, NOT TWRP. There's no QFIL for this phone like there is for the x720 (which doesn't work for the x722).

x722 is far cheaper and far better value for money (x720 is good too, but x722 is just crazy good)

Hold on m8, we all are waiting for the release of kernel sources. Only after that, stable ROMs could be built. Xiaomi has assured us that they'll release the sources soon, hopefully a lot of devs will join us too when the sources are out but at the moment, you'll have to suffice with what we have right now, we all have to.
It'll take some time, relax. I know Xiaomi is slow in this particular thing.
And, we can't really have a bug-less ROM until we have the proper device sources. Remember, Xiaomi devices do take quite some time to get a stable ROM because of the late release of sources by the company.
Just wait for 1 more month and Redmi 3S kernel source will be released..
Confused , i am planning to buy the Redmi 3s plus the 2gb ram + 32gb version of Redmi 3 prime that is released offline , can anyone of you tell me if i can flash custom roms of redmi 3s prime to the redmi 3s plus (everything is same in 3s plus and 3s plus except the ram that is 1gb less in redmi 3s plus and also it is available offline ) .
Bhaiyo aur unki behno hold ur horses..kernel sources aa jaane do tab tak chaddi pehne raho. Theres an sea of possibility at the end of this tunnel.

Redmi 3s and Redmi 3 pro, are quite similar by device, one would maybe say that Redmi 3s is performing better in certain tasks tho. It's a bit in the eye of the beholder what he judge as a better device, you can find links with google for direct comparision! I head the graphics chip in 3S is more advanced tho, but there until now has to make use of it.
I'd urgently recommend 3gb, this extra money will give you longer fun with the device. Ram is important.
PS: Next time as questions like that in a seperate thread to avoid OT

Maybe it's additionally important for you guys to know, that there will be many devs for the 3s when the sources are out, IMHO. From what i sensed Of course, my views not always have to be correct.

Stock rom nougat or oreo?

Never going to publish I believe? Is there any developing left? Does this leeco even exist any longer? So sad. There is some good custom roms but not perfect. Is there some source code missing that is needed to make a full potential roms? If so why they does`nt publish those?
It seems that LeEco's china support is back again. just recently they started to get some testers in china for closed betas; also the version 5.9.028s beta leaked (still MM) for Le Max2 and Le2.
I'm not sure if they are going to release their nougat based eui 6 for Pro3 or not but almost sure there will be more updates comming.

On the le Max3 an unreleased phone, they put eui 6.0 nougat, there are a few stores on aliexpress that are selling the phone

EUI 6.0

Are we going to have an EUI 6.0 update for our Le pro 3 ?
No, no LeEco phone is ever going to get updates... the company is nearly dead and is on its last legs. Just switch to a custom ROM like most of us here.
Ok thanks for the answer.

Questions about the LEX650 Model

Why can't I find any customs roms of it? Can I install a x72x rom on it without any trouble?
because there's none.
that model is the LeEco Le Pro 3 AI Edition, and it uses the Mediatek Helio X27 SOC.
Mediatek does not release the code sources for it's chips, therefore it's pretty hard (or impossible) to develop custom roms for phones using their chips.
obviously you cannot flash roms from the X72X models in yours as the SOC is completely different.

you might be able to flash a custom TWRP and root your phone, as there's a bit of development for the X650/X651 in the AI Edition section of this forums.
but don't expect more than that.

poco m2 pro
waiting for corvus os for my poco m2 pro so badly for better gaming.
So for people checking out this Poco M2 Pro page and wondering why there are no ROMs.
The Redmi Note 9S, Redmi Note 9 Pro ( curtana ), Redmi Note 9 Pro max , Poco M2 Pro are almost similar, the ROMs are builded for most of them. But a ROM build made for one device is not really cross-flashable since there are few minor differences among them ( Don't cross-flash, it may brick the device ). Poco M2 Pro is code named "gram". But there are ROMs that are cross compatible. They are referred as "Miatoll", Unified builds that are cross-flashable. Search telegram channels for getting the ROMs.
PS: For people upgrading from Older Redmi Devices and have experience with bricking their device, Fastboot EDL flashing on newer devices require an Mi-authorized ( Not the normal Unlock permissive account ) Account that are given out through Mi Forums to some advanced users, first few beta testers and service centers only. So don't break your normal Fastboot, It's much harder than before. Also MIUI 12 can be super buggy so beware before you update.
---------- Post added at 01:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:50 PM ----------
I don't own the device but I recommended it to a friend who is power user ( out of touch ) and was complaining to me about lack of ROMs. I posed above incase if there are others who is not aware of this. Also "Curtana" has much fast paced Custom ROM releases now since many people are having issue with unlocking their Poco models and Poco being only available In India.
One tip, Use the same account if you owned a Redmi device before and got permission and stuffs, Or make a full fledged E-mail linked account instead of Just mobile number for unlocking.
