Hi Everyone!
I recently got an H873 LG G6 but it looks like the oreo update for it has still not shown up. I read online that this model received the oreo update a while back (a few months ago).
I tried using the LG USB Bridge software but it gives me an error.

Note that I have installed the PC drivers. ADB works just fine. USB Debugging is enabled.
Can anyone help me out here?
Here is the link for the firmware, if you have everything working now you should have no trouble loading the firmware https://lg-firmware-rom.com/

My G6 is connected to LG Bridge as you can see in photo. When I click software update it says unable to check software version, try again. Any ideas? I've had this issue with other LG devices and other computers. I've installed the latest LG mobile drivers 4.20 and I've installed latest LG Bridge app 1.2.36 driving me nuts.
Found a work around. From what I recall out of four LG phones none of the ever worked with LG Bridge. My tablet is the only thing.
I downloaded this took off the LG UK website under H870. Look what it shows for my tablet.

Do you have admin permissions when trying do update your phone?
Had an similar issue when it told me, that it can't connect to the server but with the right permissions it worked.
Make sure usb debugging is enabled in developer settings.
Recently went back stock and relocked bootloader. Used LG bridge to update to 10T and worked fine
Tried LG Bridge on my Sprint G6 on my Win7 computer. Although program installed ok never could get the software to do anything, kept getting an error message (something to do with connecting). Finally called LG support who matter-of-factly told me that their software only works with Win10, will not work on Win7. If so, nothing about this issue stated in the software notes. LG was of no help really and I find it hard to believe their response. Just say'n...
Mine started working normally after 6 months I guess LG takes its time to update for it to work.

LG Mobile Support Tool
Yeah the phone always ask permissions to allow some other unkown "body" to connect with it. But when you press allow then next time it should connect auto.
You only chose what you wanna do as camera, mass media, etc.
You don't have to enable usb debugging to connect the phone to LG Bridge, neither to connect it to PC.
I've never had issues with bridge and mobile drivers were always found auto.
Black Knight your internet connection is it poor ? And is your carrier T-Mobile ?
Can you go to some friend and try update from his PC ( internet ) ?
Internet connection is great, and I have Tmobile
I think then thats why you cant update software. Because of t mobile.
Did you try through settings ?

how can i get admin rights
Hello to everyone,
I just wondering why LG software backup does not support my G6 (brand Vodafone).
I can check for updates etc etc but I can't do a backup of the device because software tell me that G6 is not supported!!
Someone can help me to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance.
I have the same issue, any ideas?
Today I guess I found a solution.
I have installed via LGUP the firmware V10t (no brand), made 2 hard reset and magically LgBridge now support my device.
Unfortunately all the bloatware is still present but I am able to do a backup.
I don't know if some hard reset can solve the problem without flashing firwmare .
Try this.https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/development/uppercut-lgup-loader-g5-variants-t3511295
Thanks for the info but my device has only an issue with LGBridge Backup.
The solution already posted does not seem to work. Today LG Bridge continues to report my G6 as not supported by the software. :/ :/
I think the reason for mine not working is that I removed some of the LG bloatware, probably some of it needed for the communication with LG Bridge when connected to PC.
In my case, I don't think so because I debloated the device and Lg Bridge worked with no issue.
I am getting issue while trying to update software via LG Bridge. And when I went through the log, it fails on trying to test IMEI. I don't know what's the issue. I purchased this V20 on ebay, a used V20. Please go through attached screenshots.
Hi. I have a problem. I'm on a V20C Oreo. When i am trying to update to something newer (by LG flashtool or by official tools like LG Bridge) phone freezes on LG G6 ThinQ screen, nothing helps (factory reset too). Then i must go manually to download mode and flash V20C back, and it boots OK. What is wrong?
Later than one month ago i have problem with charging, the cable was charging only on one side and it newer go to fast charge mode, then i made a factory reset and problem dissaperes for a couple of hours, after flash to V20C (i can't flash newer soft) its ok for a few weeks.
What could be the problem? Please help.
Nobody will help you, coz this G6 forum is the worst smartphone forum ive ever seen.
i hope not Is there any other LG forum where I can get help?

Isn't V20C the most recent stock? If you want to downgrade you will have to unlock bootloader, but I guess it's not what you have problem with. Try to use LG UP with UPPERCUT, other tools probably won't work.

You are working hard to prove it, aren't you? If you have nothing smart to say just stay quiet.

For my h870 lg bridge doesn't show any updates? For what region is your phone?
Phone is from Poland, not brannded.
I am using LG V20 F800K, Android Nougat, rooted with DirtySanta. I am following this guide to root on Android Oreo.
However, when I used LGUP Patched here, I encountered the error "DLL for F800K10e is invalid. Please, install valid DLL package (*. msi). for the model." (see attached image).
Please show me how to fix this error?
Also, @xcl0udx, I want to ask: At step 4, when connecting my phone to the computer, does my phone need to turn off and go to Download Mode? Or still turn on, in the main screen?
Thank you very much.

I have also encountered this error, the way to fix it is to carefully examine the USB cable and use LGUP Dual Mode (can be found on Google).
Dual model lg up doesn't give this error?

Hi
Thanks a ton for saving me from the mental pain, I was in. I also have the F800K as yours and I had upgraded to pie but it was torture to the phone. When newly installed, it was smooth on phone but had a noticeable lag but after few months of use and plenty of upgrades (play store services, apps & other stuff) it had become very painful to use and not to mention the horrible battery life due to OS using a lot of resources. Previously I had an even worse experience with oreo and pie was a bit better than oreo but I wanted to come back to nougat so direly.
The normal way of using LG UP (with & without uppercut) didn't work. I used the LG UP dual-mode as you mentioned and it worked. I did a step by step downgrade, from pie to oreo and then to nougat. Everything worked fine and now I have a perfectly smooth phone. Thanks to you.
