I got Nexus One which is bought from US,but I'm living in Beijing,China.
The first time I got this amazing phone,I plugin my sim card, then hold the power button to startup.
But when system is loaded,I can't find Latitude in Google Maps, even "Join Latitude" never shows up,Can anyone help me?
Appreciate!
By the way,I have activated my Google Voice and got a number, but I can't find Google Voice icon on my desktop or the launcher.
I don't know why Latitude wouldn't show up, but the Google Voice app is now simply called Voice. Of course it's restricted to US phone numbers.

yes i just put my language from german to englisch and there are following apps talk voice dailer voice search youtube at the buttom...
beside the ip google doesnt know my real location but maybe they look up the ip and change out the software?!
Well, i doubt that,
voice needs to verify the mobile number you're using, in my case i needed to have it verified by using my providers internet connection instead of WiFi, and it starts with +31, so they know where i am

heya,
I have a Google Voice account, that's already been activated - I live in Australia, and I used LocalPhone to patch it through to my normal VoIP line here, to do the activation.
So I can login to the Google Voice website, send SMSes, and I've even received a transcripted voicemail (appears to be a tele-marketer...haha).
Anyhow, my question is, is it possible to activate Google Voice on the Android, outside the US? It seems to require its own activation, outside of the normal Google Voice activation, not sure if there's a workaround for people outside the US?
Cheers,
Victor
oh you did it through your voip, good job i did it with a temp us number but found out that will just end up paying long distance regardless.
Try activating it with wifi and make sure you are using the latest version from the market.
So, I noticed there is no option to use google voice for the default voicemail option. Anyone know of a way to get around this? I hate it when a carrier cripples a device :/
Solution is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7937403
So I set up google voice to work on my 6P but when I don't answer, nothing plays. I still get a notification on my phone that I got a voicemail but the person calling me doesn't hear any greeting. I have set one up though. Any ideas what the problem may be?
I reset the google voice app and when it tries to setup the voicemail, it says unfortunately your network carrier is currently not supported for automatic voicemail configuration. Not sure what to do. I hit configure and tried both your carrier and google voice for the service and still have the same problem as above. If I click google voice, I get the your network doesn't support automatic voicemail configuration. Any help?
