I have to say that alert slider is super. But I can't understand why OnePlus doesn't allow to mute alarms with the alert slider.
I have many alarms and it is really annoying when alarms start even if the slider is set to "Do not disturb" or "Silent".
Can I change this behavior without rooting the phone? Any idea how to do it with Tasker?

How I can change the sound of Clock alarm? It is not present in Sound and Notifications...
When you set the alarm and time, click on the alarm icon on the left of the days
But, I'd recommend you get G-Alarm insted I find it much better.
If you are using the built in alarms, click on the bell symbol in Clock & Alarms -> Alarms.
Here you can select the sound, if it repeats and whether to flash and vibrate.
omg ty
and how to add more then three alarms? I am surprised of this limit...
You can't to my knowledge.
With G-Alarm however, you can have many many alarms setup, and you have a much broader options and configs.
I highly recommend using it insted of the basic windows alarm:

I really really love my HD2 but the only thing that I have a problem is the alarm clock. The alarm goes off and plays the notification but then doesnt repeat or a long pause between the notificatios. Is there a way to have the notification repeat till you turn off the alarm or a free alarm app alternative?
I'd love to know a good alternative app too because it doesn't seem I can select anything but the default alarm rings. I'd love to be able to play music instead
The best alarm I have found is G-alarm (not Free) but well worth the money. It allows for mp3 as alarms. do a search and you will find it
My problem with the stock alarm is that the pop up notification box no longer shows unless I tap on the notification bar first. I think it used to before I did a hard reset. Basicall when the alarm goes off I want to see that pop up box on the bottom where I can dismiss or snooze. It was so much more convenient then having to tap on the notification bar after unlocking. I also have BSB tweaks installed and have the dismiss x time option enabled.
EDIT: Found the solution in All Settings. Just had to enable the pop up.

settings - menu - all settings - sounds and notifications - notifications tab - select reminders - tick display message on screen
Attached is the free older version of G-Alarm.
I just came from a Note 4 and didn't have this problem. I like to create ringtones that loop seamlessly but with my S7 when my ringtone starts it has low volume and increases to full volume after a second or two. For me this breaks the seamless loop of my ringtone and sounds awful.
There is an app on the google store "Disable Increasing Ring" but it has a persistent notification that remains on the lockscreen and just bugs the crap out of me having to stare at it every time.
Is there a setting or option I am missing that can disable this "feature"? I can't believe more people aren't complaining about this? It makes me miss calls sometimes because I can't get to my phone fast enough since I missed the first few seconds of the ringtone.
Thanks!
You can probably turn off the persistent notification under manage applications. That's what I did on my S5 when I used this app.
Now that S7 has root, does anyone know how to disable the increasing ring for ringtones?

Xtouchwiz (xposed) has an option to remove it.
Thanks! I'm a noob with xposed but I just installed out so I'll give it a try.

Any chance we see something like that any time soon??
That'll be great. I'd like to change SILENT to DND again - like on my 3T. Tasker doesn't help here as it can't disable DND.
Anyone also have issue with Alarm? is it working for you all the time? thanks

for me its also not working everytime. i ended in installing google clock from playstore.
i think clock fells into doze and cannot activate alarm or something similiar.
Does the stock alarm app still send a notification about an hour before the alarm goes off? It was doing that when the phone came out so I ended up downloading a timely until it got fixed.
I know this sounds stupid did you move the pill button so that it switches the alarm on? When I first set it up, the pill did not automatically come on and I missed the alarm, school boy error I know
the alarm is active before I sleep. I missed alarms and I installed Google Clock also. Much reliable now.
Any chance "do not disturb" doesn't have the alarm exception?
