Not sure .. rumors have that the dual sim version has the second sim slot as also the micro sd slot - so you have to choose. The H60-L12 can do dual sim and micro sd.
Of course that could be outdated information ..
The H60 is fast enough for everyday use. Would love to see some custom kernels built though for better battery life.
no thanks, slow updates is not for me.

Ditto!! I really used to like huawei but slow updates and not open sourcing drivers kind of killed it for me! I also don't like how different emui is from aosp code, due to which its really hard for the devs to support the device.
So no more huawei for me! I'm gonna stick with Qualcomm from now on.
I really wish these companies were more like Texas Instruments which had up to date drivers. Too bad it moved out of chipset buisness
And me too, i was waiting for Honor 7 Presentation, and was expecting smth more interesting. Yes, new cam is cool, finger sensor, yeah, but that's all. Cant see the reasone to switch from Honor 6 to Honor 7. But i'm going to switch to smth else, and now just need to decide, would it be Meizu MX5 or Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML). I'm thinking about Asus, but still waiting for official price for Meizu
The following are upgrades for Honor 7 over Honor 6 :
- Built quality
- Top of the line rear camera
- Top of line Finger print scanner that also has touch panel functions
- 64bit A53 chip clocked at 2.2Ghz. (Lesser battery consuming and around 12K higher antutu score compared to Honor 6).
- Better display (hence you can also get that tap to wake feature)
- Has a dedicated hardware key for voice control
- Faster charging that Honor 6.
- NFC
- Bluetooth 4.1
Only cons would be that phone is 10mm thicker, as well as don't seem to have three slots as the Honor 6 L02 had.
I like the phone and find it as a good upgrade which is tuned to all the new features as opposed to being a after thought software upgrade. But as is usual the phone will take couple months before you can buy it internationally at proper price. By that time, Huawei will release the Huawei D8 and i would wait for that before i finalize to buy the Honor 7. Just don't want to get the feeling of Huawei releasing some heavy mind blowing beast on Huawei D8 that makes the Honor 7 feel outdated.
The other issue is also that Honor 6 has dropped about 100$ in last couple months, from resale value point of view i would sell it off before it drops further. Ofcourse my use of phone is nearing a year and this doesn't apply to others.
I won't upgrade too, i focus on upcoming windows 10 phone.
I only just got mine, but even still, I would not upgrade to the Honor 7. If Windows 10 got released for all phones, I may go back to my Ativ S. If this lollipop update goes OK and we get a decent AOSP/CM rom out of it, I am just going to keep my Honor 6 and try compiling Slim or Omni for this phone. If it is a bad update like some of the previous Huawei updates I have had, I will wait for the 2015 LG nexus and get that.
I still feel like I should have stuck with my resolution I made after the u8800 and not bought Huawei again, but here we are.
i will NOT buy huawei again or any Chinese phone .
i will stay with phone supported well .
i will wait for Sony Or Samsung Or new Nexus phone .
Well obviously those interested in plain stock android, then Chinese phones aren't for you. Even One plus One switched to Oxygen rom. Unless you buy a phone with a huge user base then obviously you will find more rom developers and get all the CM, OMNI rom and so on.
If you want skinned android but more faster updates, then you should buy the chinese version and they get updates every 15/30 days.

Im using china version and always got updates with that frequency. In fact just got an OTA update today.
What im not liking or skeptical on the Honor 7:
- The phone does not have the sexyness of P8 which is on a whole different level, atleast for me.
- The camera has an ugly bump, but can be excused that its a new 20mp lens and to differentiate camera from fingerprint.
- The phone is 10mm thicker than honor 6 as well as larger size, but yet battery is still 3100mAh.
- I am skeptical if those advertised voice control features and some other new features like an auto useful information provider, which are being shown as main features on China advertising of the Honor 7, would function in English. That the control switch is on the hardware does mean there will be a English version of the app, but also means buying the Chinese version makes some of them features useless. Will have to wait for handson reviews.
According to techradar:
Update: We've spoken to Huawei and confirmed that the Honor 7 will be available in Europe later this year.
Huawei also told us that there will be certain revisions to the hardware and software for the European market, so the specifications below might not reflect what we'll see later in the year.

- Whether GPU is too outdated for 2015 phone. I don't play games but GPU does effect battery life in important aspects like browsing, as well as responsible for stutter. For a Honor 6 upgrade which was underdog beast back in 2014, the upgrade to Honor 7 should have also upgraded the chip to something that meets upper high end on an underdog level.
- The screen has a very noticeable black border that feels like even larger than on the Honor 6.
Having to pick between P8 and H7, it seems to come down to the fingerprint scanner (which is more advanced & more features than that on Mate7), larger battery, and the pricing. The camera of P8 is known for high quality and it remains to see if Honor 7 has their 20mp camera optimized enough to take full potential of the lens. Huawei Mate 9 have been officially presented, did it meet your expectations will you upgrade to it from your mate 8 ?
For me, it's a No
The pro version is simply too expensive and I personally dislike the front button
The normal version, camera aside, is more software improvement than hardware. For me the double leica camera is not enough reason for changing

Good said, I agree with you, they have done a lot with the software this year, the physical look on mate 9 looks very uninspiring, even their honor 8 looks superior, I would prefer the same back as honor 8.
The camera bump looks disgusting.. it is much about how the camere will live up to the expectations.
I wish it had 3 in one sim/sd slot like they have in some honor devices, most people most use SD card so then they can not use the dual sim functionality.
i am disspointed there is no amoled screen, to be honest I expected 2k amoled this time.. to make it daydream and VR ready.
They could make the smartphone thicker to make bigger battery to compensate for a more high resolution screen and also to get rid of the camera bump.
Personally I have not decided what to buy, it is this against Mi Mix for me, mi mix have **** camera.. that is the main difference..I also think EMUI 5.0 is better in the software department then MIUI.
I wish the price would be little better.
I do not like the Porshe version that much despite the price, 5.5 is way to small, I had a 5.5 before and it is a big difference in experience during the 3 month I had it I bought a tablet, when I get a 6 inch I have no need for tablet.
as I said we will see about the camera.. it is the camera that will decide the true caliber of this device.
if not that Mate series is still one of the very few devices that have an acceptably battery time, not every one want to have a battery back always with you ..
I am extreme heavy user, with a screen on time with about 8 hours per day sometimes more..
I bought mate 8 only about 3 months ago, and I feel if Mate 8 get EMUI 5.0 it would feel reborn again..so not sure how I will do..
I know from past experience the prices of Mate devices are kind of static so there is no reason to wait 6 months to buy it, if you are going to buy it, buy it as soon as possible since the price will not get lower with time.
Just for cpu upgrade, I won't upgrade to Mate 9
Porche edition, out of reach
You should become their designer..hehehe

Not worth for now. Its not Samsung that you HAVE TO upgrade ahahha
Mate 8 still my no.1 !
I am waiting on my Phab 2 Pro to come Tuesday..I have the Mate 8, then got Mi Max, and then got Honor Note 8..sold both of them and went back to the Mate 8 only because of 4G coverage and the Mate 8 is definitely a top phone but I wanted a bigger phone that have great specs as well as full LTE coverage..I can honestly say the Mate 8 is probably the best phone I ever had
Agree

reasons for upgrading would be restricted to: significantly higher gpu performance / double camera. thats it. and if youre a user focussing on those two departments, u wouldnt have gotten the mate 8 in the first place so its kind of a moot point to go from mate 8 to mate 9, unless ure just OCD about having the latest and greatest while not giving a crap about cost ^^

I paid 300 euros for this Mate 8 yesterday... it was new..only NXT-DL00... but with your help (thanks again!!) I hope to 'convert' it to an International one... I knew there would be a catch for 300...oh well
Mate 9? Hmm maybe next year when the prices drop hahah... the Porsche Edition is definitely NOT worth it if you ask me, that even makes Apple phones seem cheap lol...
No, because I just bought the 8.
I used the Mate2 for over 2 years, because I thought it was a good value.
When the 8 was talked about last summer, I looked at it, but when the price was announced,
I said nope, too expensive. I waited...
Late this summer, with the 9 coming, I started watching the price on the 8 drop. When it reached a
level I thought for me, was a good value, I bought it.
"But, you didn't get the newest software, newest camera bla bla bla."
So? I ran the Mate2 on JB for over a year before LL came around, and still have LL on it now. Latest
and greatest doesn't concern me. As for the camera on the 9? If I really want to take a photograph,
I'll grab my dSLR. I only use the smartphone camera to record work related stuff, mainly close up
photos. I don't play games on my phone, so super duper graphics pixel peeping stuff doesn't concern
me. Oh, 10 years ago, I flashed every new rom that came along for my HTC phones, but things are
so stable today, that to me, a smartphone is a "toaster oven". You turn it on and use it. I don't bother
rooting or anything else. If stock is stable, I leave it alone.
My phone is my job lifeline. All of my service tickets are done on a web based app, as are remote connections
to the machines I work on and monitor. I'm a field service supervisor, so I'm constantly on the phone with
other techs, and factory reps. Around 2,000 minutes on the phone, hundreds of emails, texts, photos, along
with a lot of streaming audio. It has to be a good value, and have a good battery, which is why I got the
Mate2 when I did.
The 9 looks like a good phone, but it is priced like a lot of "flagships"....to high for reality. In a year, if I've
got an itch for something new, when the mate10 is announced, I'll start watching the price of the 9. If it falls
to what I think it is worth to me, I'll buy one.
No, mate 8 was my first Android after iPhone 3,4 and 5 and lumia 930. I liked the big screen of the mate 8 a lot, but i don't like that googles only reason for making android is user data.
And the apps want way to much permissions.
In may i updated to b320. because i didn't get ota updates and i read articles, stating b320 would be the next ota.
Well it wasn't and i didn't get any update since may.
The going back to mui 4.0 routine, is to much for me, i have so many offline maps on the device for example, that it would take several hours to download them again.
And where to go? There isn't any update for mui 4.1 at all, for six month now.
So the main reasons for leaving Huawei is, that i just see regular updates for other regions in the world and nothing here. L29.
I live in Germany and all companies including, huawei, lg, htc samsung only sell the smaller Ram versions here, like 32 gb and 64 next year if i am lucky.
So i am thinking about a wopping 256 gb iphone 7 plus and never messing with small ram and sd card again.
it looks like Huawei will compete with Mi Mix , wow what a dream, maybe it will be what Mi Mix should have been since it have some flaws..such as bad camera.

No upgrade. The Mate 8 battery life is amazing as it is. Plus, conversion rate to CAD will probably cost $1k after taxes for the top model. If you already own the mate 8, I see no need to upgrade.

Hello guys,
I know this has been done several times but I'll drop a few lines.
Like everyone here, I'm a Mate 9 user; 4GB/64GB Mocha Brown (of course). I've been in love with it but decided to skip its successor and go for the subsequent version (Mate 20).
Unfortunately, due to some financial reasons I realized it's better I get any one for now. Almost went for P20 Pro but picked the Mate 10 Pro (Mocha Brown also) 6GB/128GB for just over $500.
First annoying thing was I had to stash away my 128GB SanDisk Extreme PLUS microSDXC.
Then the most annoying thing, the glass back makes it feel cheap. The Mate 9 has a very premium feel to it but the Mate 10 Pro is a nay in that department.
Overall big improvements in camera, task execution, beautiful punchy AMOLED, better SoC & GPU (especially when playing PUBG) and battery lasts longer - or maybe cos it's new but I expect a 10nm to consume less than a 14nm SoC.
Mate 9 is brighter, speaker seems louder, wider screen.
To be honest, I would have gone for the Mate 10 if I could get my hands on the 6GB but I couldn't wait another 2 weeks to ship from China + I don't want to risk rebranding.
My wife is using an S7 edge & I told her she'll take over the Mate 9 when the Mate 10 Pro comes but I told her to take the Mate 10 Pro.
Regardless of the improvements it doesn't feel good in my hands - even LG V10 feels more premium.
thanks for the update. Im also mate 9 user, and Im planing to buy a p20 or mate 10 pro. I would like to stay away from huawei since their system is giving me a lot of problems, but I dont know what else to buy :/

You should buy P20 because their specs are almost the same with Mate 10 Pro but there is a big improvement in the camera (which is much better than the Mate 9).
About the feel, almost all phones are made with glass back these days so, it's the same all through.
I just wish the specs were put into the Mate 9 body; feels good.
I'm torn as well...being a U.S. phone user, I have had GREAT usage and pretty much NO problems with the 3 mates I've had (2,8,9), but after our government tossed Huawei out, I just don't see them spending the time & resources to support the phones via updates, in the U.S. market. I picked up an Essential PH-1 on Amazon a couple weeks ago, and so far, haven't had any problems, and it got the update to 9 immediately. Even with all of the talk of signal issues, 3 weeks in, I've had no drop outs or any problems at all. I've been a steady fan of the Huawei phones, but going forward, I don't know...I just don't want to screw with an international version, unlocking, rooting, flashing etc. Those days are behind me. It's just "a phone"...I run them stock and after work, I don't even touch them.

Well no more rooting since huawei has stopped giving away bootloader unlock codes. Anyway, I bought a p20.. So far I have mixed feelings. It is noticeably faster than the mate 9, but the front camera is trash. No manual mode, meaning nothing you can change about the photo, and each snd every photo is waaaay blown out. You end up looking like a ghost..
Had really hoped hopes with htc u11 . 1st had a huge bug with Bluetooth/wifi that would boot loop my phone... Not only did htc blame me but I had to pay to replace it twice...2 the stance HTC and all big tech company have with development on their phones.
I'm moving back to OnePlus... I had the 1 and 3 going to wait till 7 comes out later this year... Anyone else leave HTC if so to what company what phone?
I do not have issues with WiFi nor Bluetooth. Both work pretty well for me.
I am not leaving htc. I have had the s8, v30 and op6. The result is that every time I switched back to the u11 I realized how smooth, simple and customizable is sense home and the great quality of the u11 (display, sound, construction, camera...). Oh, edge sense is a great feature that I can not live without.
Right now there is no other device that have all the specs I look for. Maybe the u12+.
Well experience with HTC phones had been good so far. Especially HTC U11 is a great device I am having no such issues.
For others I can tell about Samsung phones since I am personally using Note 8. Samsung has come a long way their software system it is lighter now and less buggier. Hardware always has been good on Samsung.
I'm leaving HTC this year for sure, after complete 2 years with me. No pie so far for u11, among others reasons like I've cracked my screen, paid to HTC themselves to fix, and after that there's no more warranty for the phone and they don't guarantee it stills water resistant.
The u11 is not bad, not at all. Suppresses all my needs, but with this support is complicated.

I've had my U11 since June 2017. It followed a ZTE Axon 7, which followed an HTC 10. I baby the U11 and have been very careful with handling it. I'll keep it until the day I accidentally break it. As others have said, the camera, sound and Edge Sense are what makes this phone so special. Plus, there's nothing as sexy as the Sapphire Blue! Pie or no Pie, it's not a deal breaker for me. Phones nowadays are expensive enough that they're not disposable, - better off holding on to what you have until it doesn't work anymore. HOWEVER, for the sake of answering the question, IF I was going to move on from HTC, I'd get a Galaxy S9 Plus.

I had the HTC 10 before my U11 and thought it was better audio quality, for a start it has a HEADPHONE SOCKET......can you hear me HTC!
USB-C & no headphone socket is really BAD.
My next phone will be OnePlus, had a One and it was brilliant....just shame about no SD-CARD SOCKET....can you hear me OnePlus!
Just wish someone would make a phone that's half decent like these and have SD-Card socket AND headphone socket.
ps. OnePlus are really EASY to re-flash.
Went for pixel 2 xl though still have U11
Second hand U11 is half the price of used Pixel 2 xl in UK which make it good bargain
I ordered a Oneplus 7 pro this weekend and when it comes later this week it will replace my HTC U11. It's been a great device, but the lack of updates has been very disappointing and I might have desided to buy a different phone if I had known HTC's fate ahead of time.
Two years later, my HTC is still going strong, has a better camera (especially combined with the Google Camera ports) than most phones out there.
Only thing that could be a little better is battery life.
I'll wait for a Pixel with multiple camera lenses and 5G connectivity before upgrading this phone - unless the battery performance deteriorates a lot over the coming year.
Well even though the OnePlus 7 Pro is the best Android handset in 2019 thus far, I think I'll instead switch to Pixel 4, maybe Pixel 4XL. There are two reasons: Pixel will have fast updates and less compromises in comparison to OnePlus, as well as the much better camera.

I purchased the Pixel 3a XL because it was so cheap and i have been wanting to feel the Pixel experience since i passed up the 2XL for the U11. This 3a is a great phone. I still find my self using the U11 on WiFi though because it has been an awesome phone. What can i say....been with HTC since the thunderbolt. Pixel experience has been great so far, and unless HTC can shows signs of life i will be taking a serious look at the Pixel 4.
My OP7P turned up yesterday... Seems like quite a nice device. I went the overkill version, 12gb/256gb.
In the hand, its a little heavier and taller than the U11. Camera doesnt compare to the U11 in my opinion (not on stock OP, GCam U11)
Speed! WOW! Not a single slow down for 2 days. But then again, my 6gb U11 was fast enough.
This phone ****s on the P3XL and the Mate 20 Pro which I returned to go back the U11. I dont think ill be returning the OP7.
I dont have the touch screen issues, but im not going to try installing CPU-z to check. (if I have them, im not noticing it so dont want to be looking for it if its there)
If you are happy with the U11 on Lineage or RR etc, then dont bother updating. Its really not that big of an improvement or difference from OOS.
I am getting double the SOT though, so maybe to some it is. Im always near a charger so no issue for me

Thanks for the feedback. Im fighting the update urge within myself ?. Not to op7p but op7 or zenfone 6, or poco f2.
Wrt to camera, only pixel and huawei p30pro is better. Other than that no one can touch u11(gcam) not even s10+. I have used s10+ both EX and SD versions extensively as my wife & bro has it.
I only do web surfing and youtube , social media and NO gaming at all. With this i get 7hrs SOT on wifi and 5.5-6hrs in wifi+lte.
Are you saying it will approx double from u11 with op7p ?
For my usage, high end SOC is not necessary as i dont game at all. However display, camera and battery, good dev support is high on priority. Pixel 3axl in india has been once again insanely priced.
Decisions, decisions ...

For the past 2 days, I've been getting 8 hours of sot. I don't game and probably have similar usage to your description. I have turned the screen to 60hz and 1080p today to see what the difference is. I'd probably look at the op7 over the others. Although, Xiaomi mi9t looks like it would be a contender too.
One thing to note, bootloader unlock on OnePlus loses widevine L1. If that's of interest to you. Not for me...

I haven't rooted in YEARS. Care to give me a brief synopsis on how to get root/s-off(or atleast get me in the right direction? It would be greatly appreciated! Phone is unlocked, and i use Verizon.
Hi everyone,
I've recently was given £500 Amazon giftcard and I was thinking if I should upgrade from my OP6T or not. I've been looking on what I should get like a treat for myself and for phones it seems like the 8 pro is a good deal. I could literally get a OP8 Pro (used like new with original packaging) from Amazon warehouse. I'm not sure how's the custom ROM situation for the 8 Pro, but I do know that the OP9 Pro is riddled with heating and battery life issues (def not worth the price). I could literally get the 8 pro for free with a case + tpu screen protector and some cash left. Basically a free OP8 Pro?!
I've been planning to buy it since Tuesday, but held off as I just couldn't justify the purchase. I could just buy it and return it, but I just don't need it and will probs return it anyways. My OP6T is solid, replaced the battery last year, getting at least 4hrs 20mins of SoT and running CrDroid ROM which still supports my old OP3?! I got October SP as well on A11. The 8 pro is supported as well! Is this upgrade worth it and needed?
From current leaks the OP10 Pro seems to be another boring punch hole device as OEMs aren't ready to release flagships with UDC and even the UDC tech won't be as good as of next year if it even came out next year. A device with UDC that's usable will probs be out like 2023 or 2024 which I'm not waiting that long for. Itching for new tech I guess and support will probs be dropped for my OP6T by then.
The OP8 Pro is a good device with some weird display issues reported by users online. Black crush, display getting green, UIelements staying on the display. Probs not as bad as the OP9 Pro especially when I'm getting it for free lol. I'm just stuck and any help will be great.
Depend on how much you will buy it.
My unit manufactured since mid 2020.
It has Blackcrush , Banding , minimal green tint.
But those screen issues are not major for me.
Let's wait the initial review of Snapdragon next Flagship SoC 898
expect debut with Xiaomi 12 later this year.
Those might give you an idea how OP10 Pro SoC will perform.
I think 9 RT improve heat management in hardware for 888 not sure,
If OP10Pro will improve that further more.

I already said how much it is. "I could literally get the 8 pro for free with a case + tpu screen protector and some cash left. Basically a free OP8 Pro?!" Tbh I don't really care about SoCs tbh they are just like cameras for phones, you'll expect to get a new + improved one when a brand new phone comes out each year. The SD 845 is fine for me. It's just the missing features my 6T doesn't have and maybe battery life. How's the battery life for the OP8 Pro now? Are u still on OOS or are u running a custom ROM? @ps000000
I often switch ROMs, as flashaholic person test for few hours.
But mostly back to stock because my workplace app only run well on stock.
Battery life look okay after 1.5 years.
Just my 1 person experience, you may consider read another site like oneplus forum on reddit , local oneplus facebook group etc.
(English is not my 1st language I might not good explain or good reading well.)
Great phone
Superb development here on XDA
Great community too which always helps
Price should be competitive now too
Performance is spot on, it'll run Wii games to give you an idea of the strength of the 865
Battery is great
Camera has served me well, plus if you want the infrared see through things camera, the 8 pro is the only place you'll get it (and still can on OOS)
That being said.. If it were me I'd see what the new Pixel has to offer (Tizen chip) it's their first phone with this chip, will it be any good? Is it Google's answer to apples M1?
I'd wait and see, if it is then get that, if not then OnePlus 10 Pro (if it will even be called that)
