Odin flashing firmware failed problem. - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

So I got pretty far in trying to flash nougat back onto my S7 (From Oero) but hit an error.
I'm going from the latest Oero to the latest Nougat firmware (G930AUCS4BRD1) for my phone
AP_G930AUCS4BRD1_CL12564870_QB17646051_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT_meta.tar.md5

CSC_ATT_G930AATT4BRD1_CL12564870_QB17646051_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
Using these files Odin almost did the deed of downgrading my phone. I backed up everything on my sd card and ejected it, along with my sim card.
Using the latest Odin (13.13.1) and doing the whole activate OEM and USB debugging, it still failed. Do I need to be rooted?
What went wrong?

SM-N910F won't install TWRP after reinstalling stock firmware

Hello, I wonder if someone will be able to help with the following problem please.
I made the bad decision of installing Quick Boot on my rooted SM-N910F with stock firmware and it rendered my phone unbootable. I couldn't get to TWRP or anything, so I went in Odin and installed my N910FXXU1BOB4_N910FOXA1BOB4_DBT firmware, but now I don't have a custom recovery anymore and I don't have root.
I've tried to flash twrp-2.8.7.0-trltexx.img.tar with Odin3_v3.10.6 (tried other versions of both as well), but it keeps failing.
The phone says:
Code:
SECURE CHECK FAIL : recovery

Is your reactivation lock turned off?
no my reactivation lock is off. has anyone been able to root? dont want to try encase it ***** up
ok just did cf-root and this worked fine. anyone tried TWRP Manager from playstore?
I have been able to install twrp
First root phone with cf-root via odin and confirm root was successful.
Download the .img file from here https://dl.twrp.me/trltexx/
Then install Flashify from Playstore. Make a backup of your recovery first to be safe.
Now select Flash, recovery image and then choose file. Navigate to the .img file and flash away.
Job done, time for a custom rom

I'm a noob, I didn't realize it was switched on. Thank you! I've now been able to install TWRP and SuperSU :highfive:

Flashing stock firmware to 5.1.1 SM-G925W8 (Canadian/Telus) problems. HELP!

Hello I recently rooted my phone on 5.1.1 (Lollipop) and everything went well no issues till last night when I tried to install xposed installer and ended up soft bricking (I think) my phone, where it will turn on to the samsung s6 edge + logo and just sit there and won't go any further. I found out how to flash to the original firmware using Odin 3.10.7 and with the stock firmware file.
now I put my phone into download mode and connect it to Odin, put the firmware file into the AP section and hit start.
Once I hit start I get a fail message and this :

I've tried different firmwares from different sites, different odin verions, USB ports please help
I tried uploading pictures and links to the firmware I used but apparently I need 10 posts before that so if you want to know anything else in order to help please ask.
am non rooted trying to flash a different firmware and I get the same. I remove the OEM lock but cannot flash anything
odin 3.10.7 works
You write SM-G925W8 that´s S6 Edge, not S6 Edge+!!! Try firmware for SM-G928W8!

Please help- my odin doesnt work

ok, so i tried rooting and it totally screwed up my phone...
i tried unrooting by installing stock firmware through odin, and this is the error i got.

make sure your phone is in download mode. once your in download mode plug in your phone into a usb connection to your computer. make sure to also use the stock odin that you can find on xda and you can also just download the firmware
HTML:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s7/how-to/firmware-stock-sm-g930a-ph1-odin-files-t3458890
load up all the 3 files normally and it will wipe the phone off completely to stock.
normally if the ids don't match that means the firwmare you downloaded is not the correct version for your handset.
Looks like you're either putting old firmware on or incorrect firmware.
Which model S7 do you have and which firmware are you installing?

sm-g935f (no pit partition) please helpppppp!!!!!!!

hi I messed up too I went to install a new rom but I had to flash a new twrp recovery and I flashed the wrong one and I cant boot in to recovery no more and then I tried to put the right twrp recovery back on there and it gave me a odin error {no pit partition} so I downloaded the sm-g935f pit file and tried to use the pit tab and got a new odin error {Complete(Write) operation failed} iv tried different usb ports 2.0 and 3.0 and tried different cables I need help someone please save me phone
Hi,
download a stock firmware from updato. In Odin select all of the files. For CSC file use the normal CSC file (not HOME_CSC).
In addition, select re-partition and flash.
Odin gets the PIT information from the CSC file.

Have you downloaded the correct firmware from updato.com? If you have g935f you need a 'f' version of the firmware.
Sorry, I have no further idea.
flash again and use your country home CSC i did that and works like a charm
I have downloaded the g935f and the uk csc BTU and still not working
Maybe you try a different usb cable and flash on another pc?
ive tried everything the phone has put itself in read only mode I need to know how to do a boot trap install or something if anyone know how to do that
Have you tried with re partition and NAND erase all ticked in odin? If not, try it. And please use latest version of odin. 3.11 or above.
ya ive tried everything I can think of it just cant get pass the pit file check an then my phone restart to the galaxy s7 edge screen an says on that I flashed twrp-3.0.2-0-hero2qltechn.img and it was that, that messed my phone up coz it was the wrong one I was ment to flash twrp-3.0.2-4-hero2lte.img and then I went to flash the the right one it said the I didn't have a pit partition so I tried the latest firmware for my phone (UK EVR an the pit files) I also used just the csc files but everything ive tried has gave me the above errors ive ready messed up this time

I got a brand new S7 Edge (SM-935F) and i wanted to root (I've rooted many Galaxy's in the past) and went to flash TWRP when my wire fell out during the flash. TWRP seemingly installed as i can boot into TWRP recovery, however Internal Storage shows up 0MB in space, and i cannot install official fw via Odin as it fails with this error.

You need to decrypt your internal storage so
go into twrp and select "wipe" then select
"format data" and follow the prompt.
For best results you should also wipe system
and cache while you are in twrp recovery.
Once that's done you should be able to Odin
flash firmware without any issues or errors.
Just make 100% sure that the firmware you
want to odin flash is the proper firmware for
your phone.
Good luck, have a great day!
Thanks managed to fix it.
