Camera error after replacement and re-flash of ROM - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
My rear camera of my Note 4 N920C broke (the glass and a little bit the glass of the camera) which resulted in a blurry image and not accurate shots at all. I decided to buy another one and replace it which I did..everything fits perfectly with the exception that when I try to turn on the new one it says "Warning Camera failed." I've read across the internet to clean the caches and do a full wipe of the system (which I did). I am using eRobot's ROM and flashed v33 of it, but it still displays the same error. How can I fix this?
Thank you in advance!

Simply go back to the vendor - check the connector first though

[Q]Does I9500 Rear Camera Module Work on I9505 Model?

Just yesterday I have not been able to access my rear camera, thought it was the rom i was using, flashed a new rom and the problem is still there.
When i open any kind of app that uses the rear camera such as snapchat - it can't connect to the camera
Instagram Force closes
Samsung camera app is just black
I have also used the secret codes to get into the testing hardware area and it reports
data line failed
then repeatedly says Warning camera failed
caches wiped factory reset everything and still no joy
I have taken apart the phone and have checked the ribbon cables and all were in and secure (100% sure)
so this leaves me with the only thing left. faulty module
I can only seem to find a replacement for a i9500,
so would this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuin-Sa...ent-Part-/300932899978?_trksid=p2054897.l4275
work in my i9505?
thanks in advance
Most pieces work and I think both cameras too

[Q] Back Facing Camera Replacement(Software error)

So to make a long story short I recently broke the back facing camera on my Note 3. The Lens is cracked and obviously pictures are extremely distorted and purple in color and such. Knowing my usual DIY nature I figured it would cost me about 20 bucks to get buy a new camera and install it myself... Not exactly the case. At this point I have had 2 different replacement cameras and installed them both correctly. Both cameras have resulted in the error message "Warning: Camera Failed" and clearing the Camera data and cache have not helped. Neither has factory resetting the device. I also know it is not a hardware problem because when I reconnect the original camera it opens no problem.
I was wondering if anyone else had this issue or has similar experience or if anyone knows if I can try another replacement camera? Any help is much appreciated because at this point I am out of ideas

Basically i got into an argument on the phone and I slammed the phone on the desk I was at. Hoping to avoid a screen crack I slammed it on the back(With a case on) and the next time i opened the camera it was destroyed

Well, you say you replaced them correctly so the obvious conclusion is the hardware is different.

Front camera checksum error

Greetings folks..
I am having an issue with a front camera replacement.
I have since replaced my front camera in my S7 Edge and am now getting the following two errors when attempting to start my front camera from diag mode:
Camera checksum error
Data Line of front camera fail.
When sarting it from the stockcamera app, it errors with "camera failed"
I have cleared the camera app's cache, as well as the dalvik cache, tried a different camera app and did a factory reset
The original reason for the repair was that the front camera was exhibiting extreme light ghosting or light blurring. I assumed it was a problem with the actual lens. Maybe not? I am now getting the error with the old and new camera installed.
The new camera is from Samsung
Thank you in advanced for, at least a clue as to what's broke!

did u check and make sure your connections were actually connected because them connectors are really hard to tell sometimes if they are connected.

Possible Front Facing/Selfie Camera Issues

Hi all,
Been going crazy trying to find the 'selfie' camera on my new Axon 7 A2017G.
Used the SD update method and images from the AU Axon 7 site to go from what was the latest MM to the current latest available N image (1.2.0B09).
Stock Camera App doesn't seem to have a 'selfie' / front facing camera mode.
Open Camera doesn't have a switch, and the icon used for switching in Snapchat is also missing.
I'm hoping im being a complete numpty and missing something obvious, bc otherwise this is sounding like a fairly serious software/hardware issue.
Have tried clearing data and cache both through android and through the stock recovery, as well as a factory reset through both android and stock recovery.
Any thoughts?
Attached is a screenshot of the stock camera app right after a recovery factory reset (thumbnail link to full).

Lol you don't have it. That's just because you don't have a front camera attached; I used to have my moto g 2 fully disassembled and if the front camera wasn't attached the button wouldn't appear.
You have two ways around this: follow jerryrigeverything's video and try to reseat the connector, or just send it in for repairs or whatever

Yea ended up looking into it after posting here and came to a similar conclusion. Not very happy atm, as thats a pretty big thing to be broken out of the box :/
Will be contacting both the retailer i purchased it from as well as ZTE to see what can be done.

I mean, how do you know the transport didn't disconnect it? Maybe it wasn't properly seated, it passed qc testing, and it got disconnected later
It's also attached with a piece of tape I think, so i think it's plausible
But yeah, just send it in.

Camera failed

Hi all, flashed S7 EDGE on U which is 10 the loader, and ceased at once to work that is the camera ( camera failed ) and flashlight is also not working. Put the camera even new and still not working, blinking flashlight works when uvedomlenie.
Not sure what uvedomlenie might be and when you say you [put the camera even new and still not working], I'm assuming that means you installed a new camera? If that is the case it might be a good idea to recheck connections. As I recall, the flex cable for the camera snaps in beneath the motherboard and may be prone to come loose if not careful. I don't think the firmware version flashed has anything to do with camera app issues. It sounds like hardware, and that would be the actual camera.
