OTA Updates not downloading - Essential Phone Questions & Answers

Hi everyone,
I got my Essential Phone the other day thanks to the Prime Day offer.
Since I set it up, it shows that there is a OTA available. It tries to download the OTA but after less than a minute of trying, it stops and says "download paused".
I tried an flashed the May-OTA manually through fastboot. But after booting up I face the same issue with trying to update to the July-OTA.
Downloading other stuff works fine...
Anyone else with the issue.? Any ideas?

Update available on Mot software updater now

I had previously tried to update OTA and with the Moto sofware updater more than 20 times and either way I tried always said no software available and the phone was up to date. Today I went to the software updater and it had found the new software. I did this time connect as mass storage device, not sure if that had anything to do with it but those that had issues updating before go try it out now.
I got 4.1.83 OTA about 20 mins ago. Problem is it reboots and starts extracting and craps out.
I'm running stock, rooted and I manually uninstalled some of the bloatware...any ideas on what I need to do?

Problems downloading ICS OTA update

Is anyone else having problem download the ICS OTA update? Mine gets stuck between 79% and 85%. I have tried 3 times so far. Tried rebooting as well but none of it seems to work. Is it just due to the server load or I am in trouble! Gosh.. have been waiting for so long for this update and now that it's finally here, this **** is happening!
Don't feel too bad. Mine is stuck at the "android" screen and keeps flashing the android logo and not going anywhere
Mine too, any suggestions?
Ok, so here's what I had to do to get the update working:
1. Rebooted the tablet - > Didn't work
2. Deleted the WiFi connection (since I was getting network error) and tried again -> Worked but stuck at installation part.
3. Factory Reset -> Worked!
Any or combinations of the above might work you as well.

Verizon's latest OTA update (NE9 to NI2) keeps failing

I've been trying to get the latest update (apparently it will fix the bluetooth issue), it downloads fine, goes into recovery, tries to do a system update and it errors out and reboots (and reports as failed).
I've tried 4 times over the past couple of days.
Anyone else experiencing a similar issue?
Any tips to get it working?

I'm having the same issue. If anyone figures this out, please let me know.
Also Failing
I'm in the same boat. I've tried five times over a week. Keeps reporting a failure after the reboot.
I did have it rooted, but lost it from the last update. Haven't tried to root it again, so I don't think that would cause any issues.
I'm on Verizon. Hopefully somebody can figure it out.
Bump.
It's still happening. Anyone?
Still fails after factory reset
So Verizon claims to try taking the battery out and retrying to install the update. Tried it. Update fails.
After a couple weeks of this, I caved and did a factory reset. Update still fails. It seems to fail about 30% into the progress bar during recovery mode.
Possibly going to the Samsung guys at Best Buy will solve this...

[Q] Update failing on rooted Note 3

I've got a rooted Verizon Note 3.
Every day I get alerted to install the latest OTA update. Unfortunately, it downloads but fails during the install. When it starts back up, the update entry says:
Last attempt to Update Software:
update_SM-N900V_NC4_to_NK1
Result: Update failed, 402
Every day it asks me to update, every day it fails. I'd like to update if possible but do not know how to go about troubleshooting. Failing that, I'd like to stop the darned update from pestering me every single day.
Any advice?
I just found out that "Stuck in the Middle" means that the upgrade is failing. Another thread covers the same thing I'm experiencing. I've frozen SDM.apk using Titanium and will see how that goes.

SM-T530 Lollipop update problems

Hey guys,
My wifes Tab 4 recently did the OTA update to Lollipop (5.0.1) and has been having a problem ever since. After being in use for a few minutes after the update it suddenly locked up and rebooted itself. Thought nothing of it at first, but then it did it again, and now randomly reboots all the time, sometimes after only a minute of use. I've tried clearing the cache partition and factory reset, neither gave any improvement. Then i figured maybe the OTA download was the probblem so i flashed it back to Kitkat using Odin and all worked fine again for a few days. I turned off the OTA update checke and she was perfectly happy with it again.......
......until it downloaded the update all over again.
Before allowing it to update again i connected it to the PC and did the update via Kies instead. All seemed to be fine for about 5 minutes and then started rebooting. Again, cleared cache and factory reset. Again no improvement.
Then tried flashing the update via Odin again. Still no improvement.
I'm drawing a blank on this one. I've tried everything I can think of and still not been able to solve this one. The only thing i've been able to figure out so far is that for whatever reason it doesn'T randomly reboot if its connected to the PC via USB...............
Anyone got any ideas how to sort this?? Samsung have offered to take it in for repair and I'Ve been offered a refund from the retailer, but I'd rather avoid those options if possible.
Thanks!
I have the same problem and nobody Knows. I will back to kitkat. let me know if you fixed. sorry for my english im cuban.
