Is there a secret handshake to enable systemless mode on AdAware for the OnePlus5? Running the OOS 5.1.3 with the latest security patch, rooted with Magisk 16, AdAway 3.3. (61). As far as I am aware these are the latest versions of everything. Systemless hosts mode is enabled in Magisk, yet the systemless option is disabled in Adaware. What am I missing?
On a related note, I used to be able to enable/disable AdAware without a reboot. It seems that ever since updating to Oreo I need to reboot to enable or disable. Is this an Oreo feature?

Updated to 7.1.1 Beta. Flashed twrp. I then flashed magisk and then phh. I get stuck in a boot lop. I tried twice but each time I keep getting stuck in a bootloop. Does anyone have a work around? I've looked around and seems like everyone is getting it to work but me and a few others? Any help?
Not sure why you want magisk if xposed isn't supported on 7.0+ ? Just use superSU instead.
Edit: There is a (no longer a) benefit in using Magisk/phh, since magisk hide and using xpropset magisk module is detected by SafetyNet already, but see post below for the latest approach (if any):

suhide is not compatible w/ 7.1.1, so SuperSU is not an option for the 6P on the 7.1.1 Developer Preview
Flash magisk and phh su, works fine, but supersu get bootloop, something like this
7.1.1 with supersu (stable or sr1) boots fine, the problem atm is suhide, flashing suhide causes bootloops
Way possible, but without suhide is not very convenient, banks apps not working properly
So the latest superuser by chain fire works? Cause flashing magisk v8 then phh su just sends me to a bootloop.
I'm using magisk and the latest phh su on 7.1.1 and no issues what so ever even have it passing safetynet
All I did was flash the factory image, then two, then flashed phh su, magisk and then rebooted and installed xsetprop through magisk.
how are you getting this working? I haven't tested, but doesn't the 7.1.1 need a custom kernel to bypass safetynet? Kernel source isn;t out yet?
So I'm on stock aqh3 firmware but I am rooted with magisk and have notorious kernel installed. Even though I have magisk hide to hide Netflix I'm still getting that error 5.2, am I missing something here? On my s6 aslong as had magisk hide enabled it worked fine.
Magisk 14 here btw
Bump
After a long time using SuperSU, I switched to Magisk yesterday, for it's modules and of course Magisk Hide. So, starting with a full stock B414 rom, I unlocked my BL, installed OldDroid's TWRP and flashed Magisk 16.0 .
Everything went fine, I'm able to give root access to my apps. What I'm trying to do now is passing SafetyNet check.
I downloaded SafetyNet "attest" from the store and ran a test -> Basic integrity : false and CTS profile match -> false :crying:
Reading various tutorials, I enabled magisk hide, selected a few google apps to hide (store, services framework) , enabled Host systemless and magisk Core (rebooted my phone between these changes), cleared Store data. Regardless of what I've done, I keep failing at SafetyNet check. Did I miss something basic ? Did someone manage to pass safetynet on a P9 Lite with Nougat ?

Hello,
i used it some times ago...
Try to enable usb-debugging together with magisk/hide,
then reboot and see what happen.. ( this is what i done )
All the best
Thanks for your answer ! However, it didn't changed anything, safetynet check failed. Interesting fact, after rebooting, both magisk hide and usb debugging are disabled... Is this normal ?
EDIT : It's more than that, usb debugging gets disabled as soon as I quit settings
managed to fix this using another xda thread, but safetynet keeps failing and magisk hide is always disabled on startup

So pie is already rolling out on some countries. Before it rolls out to my country, I want to know if the usual method of installing Magisk over ota will work to preserve root. I use magisk solely to enable camera2api for gcam and occasionally for some apps requiring root access. Usually when I receive a security patch for 8.1, I restore stock boot img then apply the update without restarting. After the update, I go to magisk and select install > install to inactive slot and reboot. Anyone tried this while installing pie?
Magisk shows Cts Profile False, Basic Integrity False tries every solution available on the web also downloaded Magisk Hide Module, Turn On Magisk Hide in Magisk Manager, Turn Core Only Mode, Insalled Osmosis Busy Box, Changed Fingerprint of device etc all failed to pass safety net due to this i am unable to use Snapchat, Like Magic App, Netflix etc
Any resolution with this problem?
I can get root and the root hide from Magisk to work on the stock rom; but I've installed CyanogenMod 14.1 (android 7.1.1, rooted) and I have not found a way for the ctsProfile or Basic Integrity to pass. Magisk does continue to hide the root, but there are still apps that look for those two and I have found no resolution other than going back to stock rom with root (which is okay, but the custom mod is better).
Let me know.
