I am not sure if I should root my phone because of latest magisk issues (payment declined etc.). If someone could confirm that it works on J510FN it would be great. Thanks.

Anyone in the uk got their Yota working with Android Pay?
I can install it, but get:
"Android Pay can't be used:
Google is unable to verify that your device or the software running on it is Android compatible"
I'm running Yota stock eu1.187a
Perhaps its a security patch level issue?

I have been unable to use Android pay since the april update. confirmed that it's failing the safetynet check.
I'm in the UK, recently bought my Yotaphone from Gearbest in China.
It was running a Chinese ROM, but I flashed it to the latest RU 134 ROM.
The latest Google Play version of Android Pay installed and setup no problem today.
I've just used it with a Nationwide debit card to pay in Morrisons with no issues ?
Does anyone know if it is possible to replace SuperSU with a different root manager on a CID 11 running MOAR Rom v6.62, BOC4 (Android 5.0)?
Since SuperSU has changed hands, people have been losing root and the permissions have become really intrusive. I haven't updated to the new version and I can't unlink my version from the Play Store. I'm left with replacing it or just leaving it sitting in my "Updates" section forever.
Any help is much appreciated.
Edit: For those interested, here is a thread from Chainfire discussing the latest problems with SuperSU. It sounds like they may not effect the S5, but maybe it's better to let things settle down for a while anyway.

Works fine for me but CID15 and 6.0.1.
Should meet your demands.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I thought that Magisk requires an unlocked bootloader since it modifies the boot partition. There doesn't seem to be much hope of getting CID 11 unlocked at this point.
Excuse me for misleading, please.
I really was wrong.
But current situation with SuperSU looks promising.
At least, it works again on my tablet after 2.82 update
So I was playing with P beta and found out that G Pay doesn't work. I decided to roll back to stable build. So I went to essential webpage and downloaded the latest fastboot build.
Flashed it with flash all and G pay still doesn't work.
The only thing which I have on mind is unlocked bootlader. Did they start to check it?
P.S. PayPal works per example
Thanks

This should be changed to say Android P; but unless you use Magisk with an unlocked BL; G-Pay does not work.
It's been this way for years.
Unlocked bootloader has ALWAYS prevented Android Pay from working. This isn't new. If you've had Magisk installed, Magisk hide also hides the unlocked bootloader, letting this work. -- I JUST paid with Android Pay yesterday at my train station after work with Android P Beta 1 and it worked, but I have Magisk installed.

Hey guys, been a while since I asked something here so hopefully I'm posting in the right section, if not then sorry about that, would love for a mod to move the thread in the right section.
T Mobile Samsung Galaxy S8
SM-G950U
Android Version : 8.0.0
Android Security Patch Level: October 1, 2018
Baseband Version: G950USQU5CRIB
With that being said....... HELP ME!!
I've been using the app called FGL PRO to spoof my location and play Pokemon Go on my T mobile Samsung Galaxy S8. The method was to downgrade google play services to a previous version so FGL PRO would work. Just got hit with the October update which does not let me downgrade google play services anymore, thus rendering FLG PRO useless. I have been advised to root my phone and then try to spoof, apparently that's the only way now.
So far only downside I have of rooting is tripping Knox, which will disable my Samsung Pay and Secure Folder. But I'm willing to let those go for the sake of spoofing. I would 6 days a week so no time to officially play this game.
My question is.......
1. Is rooting the only way left?
2. Is there any other app recommendation which does not require rooting?
3. If not, What would be the proper steps to successfully root my S8.
- For others who do not play Pokemon Go, I believe it blocks phones that are rooted, so would definitely need something that hides my phone's root status from the app after rooting.
Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated
I know I can use Bold Beast but my problem is that I use Tasker to hide the bin from Magisk from InTune. So everytime a call comes in - BoldBeast looks for the bin again and can't record unless I keep it unhidden. I keep it unhidden and InTune knows the device is rooted. Root is more important to me. Willing to downgrade to 8.0 but want to keep fingerprint working. Cannot find old FTFs anywhere - especially a US and CE1. Please help me out.,
Hello, did you have any luck? Am looking to roll back the update also, but no luck on finding instructions/files.
thank you,
K.
