Hello!
I am newbie here and need some help.
I bought this unit, PX3 with Android 7.1.1 for BMW F30 from Ugode last month

It was working until I tried to root it. After I edit build.prop, inject SuperSU into the firmware, update and restart, the unit is going into bootloop, stuck at Logo forever.
What I've done were
- Using SD card to update/restore by Rockchip SD tool (the technique from Malaysk), with factory firmware, but failed, the unit didn't respond or boot from SD card
- Try to connect to USB-OTG port with A-to-A usb cable, failed again, my PC didn't recognized the unit
- Try to boot into recovery mode (there's no physical button on the unit), press down the reset button, hold it or press it twice (this is working for many MTC units), but nothing was happened
I don't know how to do next. The seller still has no respond how I can get into recovery mode. Do you have any idea what should I try next? So frustrating
Thank you in advance!
Does anyone has an idea?
I have this same unit.
Also wanting to root and discover how to enter recovery, will post if i find something
Did you changed your settings in DEV to ART?
If yes.. then you need to buy a new one. Your unit is the same as the ///AVIN units.

No. I think I didn't change it. I just edit the build.prop and inject SuperSU in system.img, and edit default.prop in boot.img to pre-root the system. I'm still have no idea what causes the bootloop.

Are you sure that you did all operations here without issues ? mean if you use it a right way to unpack/repack boot.img ? or maybe you missed one line/ or shomething else when you injected SuperSU on system.img ?
BTW, why you need to root ? this is not a smartphone ... you should be happy that you can use Android on your car

I follow the instruction on the internet. At first it can be updated successfully, but after restart, it's going into a bootloop.
Right now it's not important if it can't be rooted. I just want to flash the factory firmware and get it back :crying:

Anyway, thanks for you attention.
The original surround view and back camera can be used with the unit. However, I used aftermarket camera, not from BMW. You just need to set it in factory settings options. Any other original function of iDrive is still working.
Did you find out how to enter recovery?
Not yet.
Right now I've disassembled it and trying OTG method
Where did you find the factory firmware? Can you share it?
I think im going to try kingoroot, but would like to have something in case it goes wrong.
Kingoroot is not working. Please read my story in Bimmerpost
Fix?
Did you manage to fix this unit?
I had a different issue with a 10.25" 4G SNAPDRAGON ANDROID 9 2+32|4+64GB 8CORE GPS BMW with snapdragon 625: once activated android screenlock pin protection the unit doesn`t recognize my pin and I'm stucked. I need a way to enter recovery and do a full wipe but the stupid back reset button only does a soft reset and no hard reset\recovery
please help

But does a recovery even exist on this unit ? I have played with a Android 4.4 unit (for BMW) and there is no recovery - only some bootloader mode. On 4.4 cand do SD card update on boot which will erase most of old system, but I don't know on Android 9.
BTW , is this unit OK ? I want to buy one for BMW F10.
It came to my mind a method to update the unit with format data . I will quote another member's post
"at my unit i had to add "_format.zip" to my file, and then performed the OTA update, this way the system was truly virginized. "
So you need an update file from your vendor and do as above. This worked for Android 7.1-8 units with px chip .
You can try this method to reset unit :

(Remove Lock Screen PIN afterwards...)
Now I am stuck on the same screen(no signal black screen) since I have inserted a SIM card. IF you know what I could do I would appreciate

Remove all usb-sticks and sd-cards from the unit.
reset it when the boot logo appears. Use a needle or so to reset it.
do this 3x (when the boot logo appears.)
On the 4th reboot the leds will blink purple/pink: Now insert your usb-stick or sd-card with an original Joying firmware.
Flashing should start.
Unfortunately now matter how many times I reset with a pin, (on appearance of the initial Android logo) I never get the flashing purple or pink lights . ( I thought maybe that was exclusive to newer px5 units though ?) My boot only gets to the marshmallow boot animation which simply repeats for eternity :

To flash the gtx rom you first need to install the TWRP recovery.
Upon flashing the gtx rom, the flash process reinstalls the default Joying recovery at the end of the flash process.
Did you again install the TWRP recovery after having flashed the unit?
Because that could clarify why the recovery with the pink/purple flashes doesn't start and why the standard ROM is not picked up.
And the pink/purple leds have nothing to do with PX5 or Sofia, but with FYT units, their MCU and the specific recovery image. The Witson FYT, Funrover FYT, etc. do this as well.
Ah! Didn't realize that!
Installed GTX using the standard installer on the stock rom, never installed TWRP afterwards. @surfer63 any other ideas mayhap? Thank you obi wan.

Actually not. I suppose that you also tried to flash from usb/sd-card after you resetted it quite some times? just to make sure, even though it didn't blink purple?
Updating Xposed will indeed soft-brick your unit, but not hard-brick.
It will "break" your app_process binary (app_process32 and/or app_process64), but that is after the initial boot, starting the graphical system. It doesn't touch the boot image, nor the recovery image.
Actually the recovery should (!) simply work. It is strange that it doesn't work
Hello guys. First of all, I would like to apologize if this type of problem and solution already appeared before in this forum. I've been searching for two weeks for any similar situation with mine but couldn't find anything. I just bought 2 (two) Unbranded China Android Head Unit running Android 8.1 Go.
On one of them, I tried to change the boot logo through the standard option in the setting. I chose a specific image which I downloaded earlier using Google Chrome built in the unit. This unit has no physical button except for a reset pin. Then after hitting the RST (reset) pin, the unit won't boot up. The screen does flashes once in every 30 seconds (or less) as long as I keep the power up. I tried tonnes of ways to get to the recovery with any possible method; pressing the RST for 15 or 20 seconds / pressing the RST for 15 seconds, release, press for 3 seconds and press again for 1 second / pressing the RST for 2 minutes / pressing ALT + PrtScrn + i or e on connected USB keyboard / leave the unit on for 12 hours.... and nothing seems to be working.
I did contacted the supplier and the manufacturer but they told me to sent it back which could cost more than the unit itself. The other similar unit is running like usual in my car but I wouldn't dare to change the boot logo. Is there any other way to force hard reset on the broken unit? If I could backup the rom from the working unit and flash it to the broken unit, will it solve the problem...since the bootloop caused by the boot logo, nothing to do with any corrupted system? And even if it could, can anyone show me how to backup the rom from the working unit?
I have attached a few pictures of the system info and the circuit board.

Hi guys,
I've bought an Erisin ES7825V on Ebay a few months ago (at least I think it's an Erisin ES7825V, because I bought it from an unofficial seller and it doesn't have any branding on it).
The unit was working fine until a few weeks ago the system crashed and rebooted into the recovery menu (see screenshot) and has been stuck on it ever since.
Now the unit does not have any physical buttons, aside from the reset button, but nothing else otherwise. Navigating in the recovery menu doesn't work with the button, since it just resets the unit. However, hooking up a USB keyboard works fine, so I can choose some options. However, as you can see on the screenshot, there is no "Flash from USB" or "Flash from SD". The seller is very Chinese, so his solution is simply: Buy a new unit!
However, I would like to fix it myself. I got some files, but I'm not sure I can use those in a recovery state. I tried copying them to USB the SD card in the GPS slot, nothing works so far. Or at least the unit doesn't do anything.
I think that hardware-wise everything is fine with the unit. I tried, however, to factory reset (the 2nd option on the image) and it couldn't format the cache partition.
When I tried to insert the stick / SD card with the files, I got the errors on the bottom.
Now I have currently got my hands on a power supply unit and am waiting for some cables to connect it to the power outlet at home.
This would give me the option to hook it up to another device and whatnot. Maybe I'll have some more success there.
Do you have any tips to start with? Even getting to the normal recovery menu would be fine, since I could try to restore the image from there then.
Or maybe connecting it to the pc and going at it with adb? I just really don't know where to start from so any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
SirThanksalot
P.S. Ok, turns out I can't post screenshots... Any other way to show you the images?
It's definite not an Erisin ES7825V because that does have hardware buttons on the left.
Those maybe touch buttons, but not on screen
Can't help you any further, I don't know a solution but I wanted to let you know
Verstuurd vanaf mijn ZUK Z2121 met Tapatalk
Hi Hans,
yeah, that is actually what I got. I meant the unit does not have any physical buttons.
It has a row of touch buttons on the left side. However, since you can't use them to get into Recovery Mode, I don't think they're of any use now.
Ok, so I got my cables and my power supply and hooked this thing up and .... nothing.
Not really sure, why I can't turn it on. I have the Power-Supply and the S-Contact(?) on +, and Ground on - but this thing is doing nothing.
Do Android head units need to be connected some other way? I know it's more of a general question rather then development, but how the hell can I start this thing up?
So now I can finally provide you with some pictures.
This is the screen I get when starting this thing up:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And these are the update files I got:
Any ideas?
Ok, so I finally got this thing hooked up to a power supply.
However, I still couldn't produce any significant results.
One thing I noticed though is, that if I insert an SD card with the files in the picture into the Map-SD-slot,
It won't boot. The screen stays black. Could it be, that it's trying to flash something?
Is there maybe a different way of doing this? Through USB + adb maybe?
Any ideas?
UPDATE
So, I managed to fix this damn thing. For everybody who has the same problem, being stuck in the recovery mode:
After I finally got it connected to the power supply I tried doing the 'Factory data reset' option again, but it just showed me some errors.
In particular i got
"failed to mount /cache: Invalid Argument"
"Formatting /cache"
So I let it be for a few minutes and the screen changed to black, while flashing some errors every few seconds.
Restarted the target, same recovery screen. So I kept doing this 3 or 4 times until finally it restarted and showed the ERISIN logo.
From there I just waited a few minutes and it booted into the home screen... So just keep "erasing" until it reboots into the home screen.
Also, regarding the update from SD card:
1. Insert the SD card into the unit's media-SD slot
2. It should ask you to format, so do this
3. Insert the sd card into your computer (preferably Windows, as I had some trouble with my Mac)
4. Put the update files into the root (leave all the other files / folders on the card)
5. Put the card into the nav-SD slot of the unit.
6. It should tell you it found an update and ask you to restart
7. I left the option for wiping the flash off
*. If after booting it can't read your SD card, try a different one. I had to try 2, before it finally worked.
All standard stuff really. But sometimes it helps sticking to the standard, apparently...

Please tell me the connectors for attaching to HU
HI Folks, I've cheked all posts regarding PX30 HU but no resolution found.
Hope that anyone can help me in below:
1. boot loop: autosleep or sleep around 30 minutes after ACC off. When radio is turning on, I see display multi-media navigation system and no android/car logo. I am doing reboot by pressing vol. buton for a few secs, option reboot and after 3-4 Times, system is going up and is ready to use.
2. because of boot loop, I've downloaded MCU which does not fit to my unit. Because I'm dumb, I didn't check who is a manufacturer of my HU :| Is any option how to check who is a producer and find a correct MCU?
3. upgrade to android 9.0. I've downloaded two versions and put into pendrive. From the recovery mode I'm choosing update. After 1-2 minutes of update start, there is message: failed to verify package compatibility
Device manifest and framework compatibility matrix are incompatible.
Guys, help please

I've contacted with seller and he advice to not update HU to android 9 as he note many issues with SWC after update.
He gave me an 8.1 version for px30 and mx2 mcu for my which was originally in ny Unit.
I'm glad because radio is working much better than with version installed by manufacturer, however radio still has troubles to wake up.
Once the key is in car station, radio is starting like never goes sleep, working few minutes, all buttons are working well and then radio is going to reboot and sometimes starting quickly, next time a boot loop is for the next few minutes.
Any idea what can be a reason of troubles with restarting with auto sleep mode?

Regarding the auto sleep settings, check the settings under CAR then Extra Settings. Should be some options there.

As I'm the new one here, I'll be glad if you tell me how to share files through xda forum.
The HU is not going sleep even if I'm changing mode from auto sleep to 30 seconds or 1 hour. Once the engine starts, radio is rebooting and is ready to use after a few tries to turn on.
This mumedia navigation system screen is so annoying -.-

This mumedia navigation system screen is so annoying -.-

Since the file is large, maybe you can share a Google Drive link or something.
I have not experienced such sleep issues with my unit, so unfortunately can't help you there. Sorry.

Hi,
I tried all those versions and non of them worked. Keep getting an error.
Have you managed to install 9.0 on the PX30?

No ...I've only updated MCU
I'll try to update from 8.1 to 9 in the next days ...
hey guys, I just wanted to say that the boot loop in my android 8.1 HU was caused by broken PX and mother board. I've sent back unit to the seller and today it came back to me. Guarantee was honored and seems that everything is working well.
I'm gonna upload today requested version of android 8.1 and share the link.

That's great to hear that the guarantee was honoured. It's very rare these days...
Please do upload and share the link so we can give it a try.
Cheers

Sorry for creating another new post but having a nightmare, I have had an android unit installed for less than a week and tonight it has got stuck on the logo and won't boot
its this model https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/384770479698 brogotek android 11 it was working perfectly well (apart from not remembering position of music tracks) I had been out and about driving most of the day (around 15 stop/starts if that makes any difference) up until around 6.30pm GMT and booted up fine everytime until then. I understand the unit is rooted as I guess most chinese type units are, then around 8pm I got in and it would not boot
It powers on to the logo screen but will not go any further and the lights on the buttons do not illuminate when i put the headlights on the journey was around 15 mins and it did not move beyond this screen, tried reset button, and press and hold reset button for over a minute

After a bit of trial and error I managed to get into the recovery mode or at least I think it was, Power on and repeatedly tap on power button, I got the word "detected" in green and then I got this "
So it seems there are no recovery files, it did come with a usb drive in the box but nothing on it, I checked on a partition manager and this was the result
I have no idea what the unallocated space is but tried it in both usb ports on the unit and still getting the no update udisk or files message so can only conclude there is just nothing on it.
I have messaged the seller as it has 12 months warranty but can anyone help, could I get a rom even if its just a bog standard android rom to get it running??
Please help
Well kudos to brosmartek customer support, they have sent me some recovery files and I am now back up and running, took less than 10 mins
If not correctly installed, firmware can cause problems. Your device is
MTK8667 Octa-core based Android 11
Try searching or ask your vendor for update firmware for your device MTK 8667

Brosmartek have sent me their official files, just needed to unzip onto root of a USB drive, plug it in and reset into recovery mode, it worked a charm, reset to factory settings and working great
Hello,
I have exactly the same problem. The screen is stuck, I cannot enter any recovery mode and if I tap on the screen there appears the same message: "no find update udisk or files. please check"
How did you enter the recovery mode?

Hi
Looks like exactly the same issue I had
I contacted the manufacturers(brogotek) on the ebay sales page and they sent me a link to download recovery files.
I downloaded and extracted them to the root of a usb drive, plugged in and reset the unit and it recovered

Please be aware this was sent for a brosmartek android 11 MTK8667 unit, I have no idea if it will work for other units but I hope it does work for you
file must be extracted to root of usb drive, and all files and setting that were on your unit will be lost
Power on unit, press reset button during power up and it might recognise the files and update, if it doesn't find the files automatically, then rest again and do whatever you did to get the screen you posted above
Good luck
