Cover delivered.
So far, I have found a few things that I hope will be better. Connection problems, lack of screen "plastic" as all the others have from the box, USB card reader/usb hub aren't recognized correctly. Only accessible via file management. Lightroom app can't see the reader/USB.
When I get a good cover/case for the phone, I will be able to use it as daily driver, so I'm waiting with more updates. Gaming experience isn't impressive, since there is the connection problem.
Updates:
Just received the asus plastic 3 part cover. And I give the others right. Not worth it!
Anyway, I tried to game again with the cover on. No improvements on the ping. X mode does no difference whatsoever. Or on antutu, x mode raises the score from 299k to 301k.
Hopefully the silicone tpu cover will come to Europe really soon. The asus plastic cover feels like something from wish!

Some phones are great to take camping because if you play Asphalt 8 long enough, the back warms up to the ideal temperature that can bake bread. Rate this thread to express the extent to which the Asus ZenFone 4 Max stays cool under extended heavy use. So far so good - No overheating while driving or multi-tasking.
For years I have been an avid ASUS buyer and have really never needed to utilize their customer support or warranty program.
THIS IS CLEARLY POOR MANUFACTURING
Backstory and then the results.
I purchased a new Zenphone 4 in September of 2017 and by November of 2017 was having an issue with a dark spot developing and getting larger on the right side of the phone. I called ASUS and was directed to send the phone to them for warranty repair. I was issued an RMA and sent it in. At this point we had loved the battery life so much ordered another one while we waited on the first to be repaired.
The new phone came in and then we were hit with the RMA result of "You dropped and abused your phone". They were able to discern this abuse by a single small scratch on the back of the phone. I tried to put into dispute but dealing with ASUS as I have now found out is impossible.
In March of 2018 the second unit has now developed a very similar spot in the same place. At this point I called ASUS again and they offered to look at the unit again signaling that since their is still a scratch on the first unit they most likely wont do anything still. The second unit was returned to Amazon as they have a wonderful return policy.
Highly irritated with ASUS I took the phone to an electronics expert to tear it apart and find the issue, he was expecting to find poor soldier joint. As luck would have it the phone did not even need to be torn apart, under just the right lighting (Bar light florescent) he noticed that one side of the phone reflected light the way he expected, the other had a distortion. RIGHT WHERE THE SCREEN WAS BURNED.
ASUS has been turning out tons of bad Zenphones. By the best I can find on the internet the problem most likely started with Zenphone 3 and may still be occuring in the Zenphone ? whatever they are up to.
After contacting asus they really did not want to know anything, nor offered to get me in touch with anyone. Once again Amazon to the rescue, the proof provided they forced a return for me.
Final Revue - ASUS as a company is not producing quality since at least the end of the Zenphone 2 and they are not interested in hearing where to improve.

Companies patent things all the time that never see fruition. Obviously, Samsung is thinking about the next generation, like with any product. But I would take most of these patents and renders with a massive grain of salt.
I love it. I don't like that I paid so much for a device and Samsung's treating it like a 2nd class citizen. I guess with it's numbers it'll never get the official support that the S10/Note10 gets, but it still irks me. The S10 just got the DeX support that the Note10 has.. why not the Fold? Saw a story this morning that the Note10 and S10 get wireless Android Auto support.. why not the Fold? That type of thing. But I do love the device, no regrets.
Edit: Your Phone Companion now supports "Phone Screen" on the fold.
18 Days in with mine now, use it as my daily driver, no signs of wear or damage. I do look after it but then I look after all my stuff. Extremely pleased with it!
I'm on my second one now. Got one on contract then sent it back as the guilt of owning one was so bad. Anyway, got over the guilt and got another one on contract. It is such a lovely device, especially when you open it up and you are dazzled by the bright and colourful screen. If there is one thing I don't like it's the weight as it does weight down your pocket!
Love it! 9/10 Have had it since launch day in the U.S. and it is my daily driver. Fantastic piece of hardware. The only things that bother me are the top notch and slow to get updates. Other than that it performs flawlessly, looks great and has had zero problems. Yes it's damn expensive but it is cutting edge and I believe it to be the better design from the other folding phones we are now seeing. It's a keeper!
F*cling love this phone, a phone when I need a phone, a tablet when I need a tablet and DeX is brilliant btw!
A not perfect device but with unique features: no other foldable promised with pride on great shows has in fact still reached this model on the market .. I like innovations and I had already bought the Note Edge in 2014 and the Xiaomi Mi Mix in 2016 among others.., Galaxy Fold makes itself loved because at the same time it is a narrow phone and a tablet, and because it has the specifications of a top of the range
i Very love it
So far love it had it since Tuesday now Saturday I wear baggy Jean's so not a problem of it in pocket
I just bought one after umming and ahhing, I got a pretty good deal on a new one almost $1000 ( New Zealand Dollars) off retail as well as selling my old note 8 with 256GB dual sim.
I must say pictures do not do the device justice, it is simply gorgeous.
I also own a note 10 plus which i intend to keep as an office workhorse whilst the fold will be my " leisure" device.
I can imagine if the fold 2 came with an spen as well as the new flexible glass screen i wouldnt hesitate picking it up.
Overall im very pleased
I expected that Samsung will show the foldable version plus spen...but in unfortunately they didn't
no spen until foldable glass is thick enough to support it.
i really love it to be honest
Love it, have it now for 4 weeks and really really love it.

paint peeling off next to volume rocker
I've ordered my OP7Pro on the Community Drop day. Used it with a case from day one. Still, on both sides of the volume rocker the paint (Mirror Gray) peeled off.
Immediately notified the vendor's customer support. They didn't take it really seriously from the start. Needed to follow-up 3 times until they officially answered me. Unfortunately, the response was negative, saying that the peeling off of the paint is not covered by warranty. So, if I want, they can repair it, but I will have to pay the costs.
So, I'm pretty much disappointed by this, since OP is selling this device as a premium one, and this paint peeling off never happened to me before, not even with less premium devices. Also, completely disappointed by how OPS's customer service works and, of course, by their final feedback. Probably my last OP device.
Royal Look & feel
The material used in one plus are of best quality and can be felt by the user as well.
Mine feels and looks like new. No cover, just randoom screen protectors.
Really good overall....but it is HEAVY! I had 6T. The weight is very noticeable. Even in my pocket it is a bit annoying.
Thicker, heavier than the 6T. Can't compare to the 7T...but can imagine that is even lighter than this thing.
Overall build and quality is up there with the best.

Loving the device so far. Buttery smooth, powerful and very cool looking.
I wrote a whole review
...and the forum lost it when I posted it.
So, if anyone has a question I'll try to answer.
I'll try again...
After owning a Razer Phone 2 since release and getting fewer updates over time and facing a £200 repair bill for the front and rear glass, I've been looking for an upgrade.
My main uses are browsing, messaging and listening to music.
The Razer was great, the loudest phone speakers I've ever heard, so the first test was to put it side by side with the BS3 and queue up The HU Band's 'Yuve Yuve Yu' and press play.
The BS3 was clearly louder, I had to knock the volume down 3 clicks to balance the sound.
The screen is also noticeably larger, filling most of the phone.
Another win over the Razer is the 3.5mm socket although this prevents it from getting an IP rating.
Does the Black Shark 3 have a Metal Back Panel or is it all glass?

No, the headphone jack never prevented any phone to get an IP rating. People need to stop believing dumb nonsense like that.

Coming from a Note 8, I always felt it was a bit too big in my pocket pants as I usually place it inside my right pants pocket. Samsung was offering a sweet discount on the new Z Flip 5G, so I sprang for it. When folded, it's a bit thick but fits inside my pocket like a champ. The phone itself is very nice looking, I got the Mystic Bronze. It's very striking in appearance, jewel-like. Definitely a fashion statement. I've had strangers ask me what phone it is. They are invariably surprised at the folding aspect of this phone. This is the future, everyone will be sporting a folding phone in a few years. I'm just living in the future today.

It's a great phone. I don't know why you wouldn't want it. Yes, it's expensive but it's worth every penny. Love this phone.
So, I've had it for a week, coming from a S9+, I love it. As has been mentioned, you can get some significant discounts, I would not have pulled the trigger without them.
I read a lot of reviews and felt pretty informed by the time the phone arrived; however, there are some things that I have learned in the past week.
The Screen - The reviews cover screen quality and I was not disappointed. Two things I did not encounter in any reviews that have been eye opening. First, polarization. When viewing the phone vertically the screen is almost unreadable while wearing polarized glasses. This is annoying, once rotated beyond 45 degrees it is usable and is perfect when viewed horizontally. For me, this is a problem when driving as I use the phone for GPS, not a big deal, but I did have to go find a new phone holder for the car that will support the horizontal mount. Also, this makes quick checks of the phone and prolonged use out in the sun a challenge, either take off the glasses and squint, struggle to see through the polarization, or flip sideways. Second, the screen protector. Many reviews mentioned the screen protector and all seemed to present a reasonable level of durability, although, Samsung seems to expect a replacement during the life of the phone. Unfortunately, within two hours of getting the phone I had inadvertantly gouged the screen protector. I tried to open the phone by sliding my thumb in the middle and flipping up (thumbs up). My thumb nail (just cut the day before, definitely not long) dragged across the screen as the phone opened and left a long dent. It was still there the next day when I put my own screen protector on (yeah, I know, Samsung says don't do that), but now I couldn't show it to you if you asked. Samsung's screen protector may have eventually 'self-healed' but I wasn't waiting around to find out. My recommendation, get a removable but strong screen protector, just be careful when you take it off, don't take off Samsung's. Finally, just to reiterate what was in the reviews, the screen is a fingerprint magnet, your own screen protector will help with that.
App Pairs - Something I used once in a while on my S9+, app pairs are not available on this phone (right now), but the rest of the Edge features are still there. There is now an ability to switch into split screen mode with applications from the edge bar, it is confusing and more difficult to execute. What is worse is that the phone and OS/UI will support them, SmartSwitch copied my existing pairs over, I just can't create new ones. Samsung, give me back my app pairs, please.
That's about it, as I said, it has been great so far, I'll update this is I come across anything else.
