All these devs deserve 5 stars for their selfless service. I can't imagine my Zuk Z1 still kicking without these people.

You rate people about its work here. Everyone do this in his free time without charge!
What's the purpose of this thread? Rate one of the lower will surely not help anybody and is very rude.
Every member that contributes in any way here on xda is THE BEST.

Dude, Please don`t compare anyone`s work here.
Everyone does this in their free time. Without any one of them, this device would`nt have got enough support for newer android versions.

As there are so many different (and not so different) ROMs available for our Xperia Z (C6603), it becomes somehow difficult to find the best (in terms of smoothness and features) ROM for daily use. I know there are already plenty of threads comparing general features of different major ROMs. However, these might appear to be very general and totally not device related, especially for new comers. That is way I would like to start and maintain this thread.
In this thread I would like you to post you current rom and rate it on a scale from 1 (for very poor) to 10 (for f*cking hilarious). I would appreciate if you'd post your ratings each time you flash a new rom.
Please indicate following infos:
ROM NAME
(eventually) ROM base (e.g. AOSP, CM, etc)
ROM Version (e.g. 28062014 Nightly, 3.1, etc.)
Android Version
And your actual ratings for:
Features (that are implemented in other devices but not yet in ours)
Current available features
Overall smotheness
Overall satisfaction
How likely are going to advice your friends to install this rom (from 1 - not likely to 10 - very likely)
If you have already submitted your ratings on one of the previous posts in this thread, just create a new post and indicate your previous post number. Thus, I can adjust the rating in an appropriate way (Basically, your previous rom will receive bonus points if it was rated better than your new rom and I will deduct some points for the rom being rated worse than the new one).
Further information on rating calculation will come as soon as your first ratings get processed.
Any feedback and critics are welcome and very anticipated!!!
Hopefully will soon get enough responses to evaluate all available roms and help us to quickly find a 'new' for the daily use.:good::good::good:

The question is that when are we getting MIUI n Flyme OS roms for our device??
We get a rom when a dev picks it up.
Development has to take place. It's a lot of work to get a rom up and running, and there is NO benefit to do so, other than to keep a few people who may use it happy. your best bet is to contact someone who develops it for another Moto/Lenovo phone, and see if they are aware there is some interest in it for the G5+.
sadly, stomping your feet going "Where is my Rom" has never gotten anyone anything...
Bro many Devs read these threads so I posted here! Dont be aggressive!
Are we short mods this weekend or something? Man alive
With plethora of 8.1 rom out here and no significant difference upcoming (no offence), can some one please port MIUI for a1 ?
Kindly do not reply with ,, do yourself or something non helpful.
No.
I'm just gonna go ahead and ask you why didn't you buy a MIUI device from the start if you like it, like Mi 5x. Porting is a lot of work and requires much time from someone to dedicate, i'm sure it might be a possibility in the future but in more of a sideproject way for someone here, but if and only if they wish to experiment with something like that and have the time. MiA1 is an AOSP device and it's focus is on stock roms, that the whole idea behind Android One anyway, if anything we should be excited about android P when it arrives!
Why?
People Come here for Other Ports of ROM than MIUI for near stock experience and while you are already getting stock OS you are whining for MIUI? Why? You could have gone for MI 5X or Redmi note 4 if its not available in your country.
Do yourself

I'm working on an MIUI 9 GSI but nobody knows if this is even possible yet. It's all Experimental and nobody has ported a DSSI to GSI before.
Regardless, you can monitor progress and talk here - https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr...velopment/requesting-miui-10-treble-t3799025/

It's not impossible lol. Nobody just wants to take responsibility with the release because it could be buggy and it's hard to maintain. A few of us have it booting and working fine. My reason for not releasing it though is because I want to make a GSI instead to help stimulate Treble development.

You have booted into MIUI ? That's great, are the MIUI services working ? Since i read in an another post for MIUI 9 that the services were not working since the device couln't be verified from mi servers
Thank you for your work.
Waiting to be able to prove miui in mi-a1
I've given up on MIUI GSI so now I'm reviewing whether to release MIUI just as a normal A1 ROM.
I still have work to do on it - the ROM I have right now is handcrafted. I will ONLY release it IF I can finish scripts to completely automate the build process (i.e. open source the work). Please don't bug me about it.
I will post updates here as they come in. Exams are on at the moment so it could be a while.

thank you bro your my heroo broo <3
For those wondering, the main reason I will not release existing MIUI is because it's a straight port of nougat base from 5x. It doesn't work on my TWRP and I cannot dual boot, so I will never use it and thus cannot support it. I will not be an irresponsible dev who releases things that he won't use or test.
New work is based on Redmi S2, which is 8.1 based and will get MIUI 10 quicker. Since it's different hardware and based on China ROM, there is extra work to do.

Oh really? Ha I had no idea, wasn't on GSMArena when I checked. If there's a global stable fastboot firmware for it then I'll switch to it's base. Cheers.
You can use Redmi note 5 miui 10 beta tester ROM for Xiaomi mi a1
---------- Post added at 03:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:06 PM ----------
And if you see paid theme in miui you can use xposed free theme module for mi a1 he bypass account verification too

It's only Nougat, so no I cannot use it.
I will never port beta ROM anyway, only stable releases. Otherwise I can't be sure if it's a bug with port or the ROM itself.

No problem, I have exams for the next week so hopefully it's out soon.
So long people,
I've upgrade myself to a Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, my gf had a Lenovo A7000 phone and was in need for a new phone, I was happy with OnePlus One(running CarbonROM - android 8.1) but opportunity occur so I'll get an upgrade and she'll get a WAY better phone, so I moved on after 4 years(3 years and 350 days to be accurate ) of great service.
You won't see me a lot after this message unless someone replies or I'm super bored . I rarely would play with roms as I don't want to mess my gf's phone from now on
P.S. To the people thinking of upgrading well, stock Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S while having SD845 feels snappier but only in specific situations ...of course after custom roms I expect this to change. Unless you look for some extra things like back camera which is a lot better especially with low lighting, battery life which is better, not day/night but better. You can still have your OnePlus One, no need to replace unless you are a heavy gamer or want better pictures or a more futureproof device(I did it to help gf and have a futureproof device as OnePlus One probably won't get Android P or any future android as it's x64 only rom AFAIK ...although some might find a work-around, who knows)
i will also retire my OPO soon. currently i'm leaning towards the xiaomi mi a2.
