Cannot connect Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 to Zimbra 8.7 using ActiveSync - Galaxy Tab S2 General

I have just got a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 because my old Nexus 7 with LineageOS on it died.... I have LineageOS 15.1 on the Galaxy Tab which refuses to connect to my Zimbra Collaboration Suite community edition 8.7 and Zextras version 2.6.5
Zextras is an add on for Zimbra has a module ZxMobile which behaves like ActiveSync.
I am using the EAS Version 2.5 for Samsung, but have tried all the other options to no avail
My HTC MX8 dual Sim is also running LineageOS but version 14.1 connects fine to ZCS using ActiveSync.
I cannot get the Galaxy to connect. I can connect to ZCS using IMAP no problem, but this will not sync the contacts and Calendar.
I have tried several Apps on the Tab, and none will connect.
I suspect it is the Samsung Thing again?
Would it be worth going back to LineageOS 14.1 on the Galaxy, or is there a work around of some sort.
I have asked the same question on the Zextras Forum but had no replies.

[Q] S4 wifi problem

Hey guys,
I use C-ROM for about a week now (I installed it 4h after I got my S4) and all in all it's a great ROM.
But I have some problem with it:
I have a wifi set up by my PC (with some cmd work), due to the restrictions by my carrier.
Every device I own (Tablet and Laptop) find this network and have no problems with this setup at all.
However this device has some problem: At first, when the Wifi is set up the first time, the S4 will connect to the Wifi with no problem at all.
After some time (I don't know what it depends on) the S4 does not find the Wifi anymore.
My Tab (Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 LTE) and my Laptop however still find the wifi and everything works.
To get the S4 work with the Wifi again I have to setup the Wifi completely again (I actually hae to change the SSID), after that it all works.
I'm not sure however if that's a general problem with 4.4 or with this rom.
I think i can remove the device itself from the error list, as all other Wifi-networks work perfectly.
Thanks for your help!

Win7 Laptop Wi Hotspot tablet problems

Hello. First of all I want to apologize for my bad English... I'm still learning it. Second of all, this problem is appearing on any device I try to connect to my PC's Wifi Hotspot, but to be specific:
- Huawei Ascend Y511
- Samsung Galaxy Y (GT5360, not really sure for that one, I don't have access to check the exact model)
- Vonino Sirius QS (Tablet)
- Prestigio Quantum Multipad 4 (9.7" / Tablet)
- Samsung Galaxy Tab3 8.0
- Samsung Galaxy S4 / S5
- LG G Flex
(I have a hobby to collect different phones and tablets, yeah... it's crazy I know )
Recently I installed Windows 7 on my laptop because the old windows XP was bugged completely... The only working components were the browser and the Bluetooth (Which is not working currently). First of all I tried to start a wifi hotspot from the networking and sharing center that comes with Windows 7, but I couldn't manage to do so. So I went to another option - softwares that enable the Wifi Hotspot on your laptop. The best result I got was Connectify, but I don't have the funds to buy it, so I used it temporarly (a week or so), and then it stopped working (Ethernet Sharing problems). Since then all the softwares I tried are starting the Wifi Hotspot, but when I try to connect every device gets stuck at "Obtaining IP Adress...". I tried looking for solutions, but I couldn't find anything that helps. I tried setting the IP adress to automatically obtain IP adress (The one in the change adapter settings tab in Control Panel), but then the network itself does not want to work. I ran out of ideas on how I can fix this...
Just some additional info: The local area connection is shared and the wifi is allowed, also the WLAN Autoconfig service is working properly.
Refresh IP

Try checking your IP Configuration and refresh the IP In the Windows Internet and Sharing Center.

S8 bluetooth and hotspot issues

I had a Samsung Galaxy S7 Active and absolutely loved it but last summer after an update it started running slow or at least had a delay of a couple seconds when I was trying to use it so at the beginning of this year I upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, which I also love. To make the change from the S7 to the S8 easier I used an app that migrated all the info from the S7 over to the S8. I think the app was Smart Switch. At the time it seemed to work and it moved all my info just fine.
Now I use my phone as a hot spot to connect to my laptop computer quite often so the first time I went to connect my laptop to my new S8 through the hotspot I figured I would need to look up the hotspot password in my phone in order for it to connect but for some reason I did not need to. It just automatically connected on its own. That really confused me since I didn't think 2 different phones would have the same login info to connect a hotspot so I then went into my hotspot settings and it said it used my Galaxy S7 settings to connect to the hotspot. Well I know for sure I have an S8 Active because everytime I turn the phone on the very first screen that pops up reads Galaxy S8 Active.
My guess is that when I migrated the info from the S7 to the S8 the Smart Switch app just migrated the hotspot login info from the S7 over to the S8 replacing its hotspot login info. I don't think its that big of a deal but another problem I immediately had with the S8 was connecting it to my car stereo through Bluetooth. The S7 would connect fine to it but the S8 wont automatically connect so I have to manually connect it. I am wondering if when using Smart Switch it tried to migrate over the S7 info on connecting the Bluetooth to my car stereo. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
Bueller?

Galaxy Tab A7 (SM-T500) - WiFi MAC Randomization - Does it work for you?

I have an older Galaxy Tab A 10.1 tablet and it has no problems randomizing its MAC address, but my new Galaxy Tab A7 tablet with the latest firmware and "Randomize MAC" setting doesn't work. There is an option for it, but as soon as the tablet tries to connect to selected WiFi SSID, "Randomize MAC" selection sets itself "Tablet MAC". Trying to edit SSID settings and reselecting "Randomize MAC" after the connection is made also doesn't work. The tablet just keeps reverting back to "Tablet MAC". Enabling/Disabling "MAC Randomization Enhancement" in Developer Settings has no effect.
Any ideas? Is this a known issue with Galaxy Tab A7?
Bump!? Could someone, please, test.
Double Bump!
Really?
?
Still interested in knowing!
Aren't there not any Galaxy Tab A7 owners/users on this forum who can spend a few minutes to see if MAC randomization works for them?
Please?

Since i have two sm-t500 Tab A7 2020 tablets (both the 32 as well as the 64GB storage version running One UI 3.1 with buid number RP1A.200720.012.T500XXU3BVD# on the 64GB version and Lineage no freakin wifi edition on the 32 Gigabrick version, i found it quite a little effort to have a look and the MAC setting remains randomized while switching between accespoints and just to be sure i did check the Mac and it did change as promised after enabling this option in Dev Options. So yeah.... your tab has an issue it seems...
Thank you for checking!
No problem man. And it also shouldn't be considered a problem to all of them that ran into your question while searching for answers themselves. You waited 2.5 months for someone to have a quick peek. That's bad...
