Hi!
Anyone using utorrent remote on galaxy S4?
When i try to add a torrent it says Client appears to have disconnected.
I can log in and see my downloads but i cant add new torrents.
Tried on my wifes s4 too and same thing.
Been using it for 2 years on my galaxy s2 without problems and it still works on the s2.
Tried on wifi and 4g.
NO having the same problem and not much results on google.
Anyone got utorrent remote to work?

Get a microsim to normal sim adaptor and stick the iPhone sim in the tab
So are you trying to create a mobile hotspot with the Tab and connecting your iphone to it?
If so, first, do as the post above says, then on your Tab just go to settings>wireless and network>Mobile AP to create an access point so you can connect your iphone to it.
well im actually trying to do it the other way around.
my tab i bought it without the wireless plan.
here an update
my iphone currently is running on tmobile w/ the tzone service, but I have not been able to have the tab recoginize my wifi tethering off the iphone.
I did go into the tab and changed out the wap file, mention in another thread that i read. And that was able to show up my ad-hoc off my iphone. For some reason now, the tab doesn't want to connect to the iphone wifi.
For what it's worth I can't connect my iphone4 to my galaxy s 19000. Asked a genius at an apple store and he told me the iphone cant find and wont find the galaxy s to connect with the mobile ap program or vice versa with myfi(wi?)4.0 and it cant even connect to it with blutooth. Bye bye iphone.
Sgs doesnt detect ad hoc wifi that the iphone is giving. . .

Google "adhoc fix galaxy tab" and you will find instructions. It involves downloading and overriding a file with root privileges. I have my T-Mobile Tab receiving wifi from my iPhone.

Hi,
Has anyone successfully shared files via NFC or WiFi direct?
File sharing between the Samsung Note II & Nexus 4 isnt' working for me.
Isn't working for me either. I don't even have the option to transfer via NFC and note II can't find Nexus 4 for WiFi Direct.
I used Bluetooth at last.

Neither bluetooth nor WiFi direct is working for transferring files.
As for NFC - we just managed to get it working - had to bang! (tap ) the devices together but the only thing we could send over were links - so if I'm running a youtube video in my browser I can tap that across or if I'm in an app and tap the phone - the app comes on on the other phone or it takes the user to the play store to download the app.
can't seem to be able to transfer files via NFC.
Just tried. Pictures works.
I have tried pictures with AT&T Note 2 and it works, im assuming files work also.
Note 2 user has to turn OFF their beam, and put NFC only. i forgot the name, its like galaxy beam or something.
nexus 4 turns on beam, note 2 is NFC only
Note-II users have the NFC beam or something & the S-Beam.
I'll try with pictures today but definitely haven't been able to share MP3's
Hi,
I've do some explanation of what i want to do first.
I've an Wifi OBD2 adaptor in my car that allow me to use apps in my Galaxy S4 like Dashcommand. In the past, i'Ve an iPhone, which i can use whit that. But now, my galaxy S4, and many other android device i've try like Galaxy Nexus, or Galaxy S3, doesn't see the adapter wifi network.
I've do some search on the internet, and found it's because Android doesn't support natively the AD-Hoc network mode. Whit the search result, i've found some WPA_Supplicant file that i've put on my rooted phone, and nothing i'Ve try let me use wifi.
I've use the original roms, try in the past Cyanogen Nightlies on a SGS3.
Anyone have an WPA_Supplicant file that compatible whit the S4?
Thank you very much for your help!
Hello
I installed the 4.3 v2.2 rom on my Galaxy S4 - its the Google Edition S4 by JanJan. I turned on wifi tethering and then tried to connect to my phone using my laptop or tablet and I am able to get an IP address but I cannot surf anywhere.
I am able to surf using the browser on the S4 phone.
I am connnected to LTE on the Rogers network.
The SIM works in my S2 and I can enable WiFi tethering and use it perfectly fine - so it's not a carrier provisioning issue.
I have installed FoxFi on the S4 and still have the same issue - able to get an IP but no surfing.
Am I missing something?
Thanks

I'm on Rogers too. I have noticed that with all non touchwiz roms. If you disable lte and use 4g or lower you will be able to get online. With my s3 there was a script you could add to connect to lte but I was unable to find one that works with the s4/4.2.2

Solution
So as it turns out there were 2 APN settings on the phone ltedata and ltemobile. ltemobile was the active one and I could surf on my phone. I deleted the other one and I can now surf from my connected devices using wifi tethering.
Situation: I can connect my Galaxy S5 to the internet.
I can connect my Galaxy NOTE8 (WiFi only) to my S5 and use the S5 as a HotSpot. Galaxy Note8 connects to the internet without issue.
I can connect my Toshiba Laptop to my Galaxy S5 by WiFi, but get NO internet access.
I can connect my Toshiba Laptop to my Galaxy S5 by USB cable and get internet access.
Any ideas why I can't get internet access on my laptop thru my Galaxy S5 as a hotspot?

I had the issue with my S2.
Can you open CMD, enter ipconfig /all and paste that info under your wifi adapter?
Just checked using hotspot and I don't have an issue with the S5 running NG2. Took around 1 minute for the DNS addresses to be sent to the laptop. After that it's working fine.

Just tried it on my HP G7 laptop and using the S5 as a hotspot works flawless for me.
Because the setup (Galaxy S5 to Laptop) works while tethered via USB, I think the next step will be to try to HOTSPOT with a different laptop. That will at least give me 1 more clue in where the issue lies.
