Hello, guys
Wanting to expand the memory capacity of my Zenfone 3 max (model zc520tl) I've downgrade this to Android 6 because in Android 6 we can use the SD Card as a internal storage and in 7 we can't.
But, when I did this a huge problem happened: The phone can't recognize my SIM Card!
I've searched a lot and in ZenTalks I've found an Asus Moderator telling that what we need to do is update de firware to the latest version (and it's make sense, cause in Android 7 the SIM was working fine.)
So, now is the big problem that I can't solve by myself: I can't update my phone and I tryed so many ways ...
Look, I had downloaded the latest version in ASUS Support site, move this zip to my internal storage, clicked in "prepare to update" and when it reboot to recovery mode, an error saying a think like "This update is for xxx and this device is with MRA58k".
I had downloaded a lot of stock roms for android 7 and it always abort the update in recovery too.
What I want is just solve my problem with SIM Card. If there is a way to solve this on Android 6, please, tell me because it's better then upgrade to android 7 and can't expand my internal storage.
But, if the way is update to android 7, please help me to do this because I can't do this.
Thank's Allot,
Best Regards

Hi ! .. So I just got my LG G2 yesterday, and today I tried a few different things wich ended in me having to use the LG Mobile Support Tool to "force" an firmware update (stock), and after the rollback were done. I only had the possibility to use 10GB of my 32GB storage.
Anyone have any idea why?
It says that I have a total of 10GB storage when I connect the phone to the computer. And I have no idea why or what to do.
I havent encountered this issue before at all, and I feel that I'm somewhat decent when it comes to installing firmwares on phones. Regardless of brand.
And it does say that the model is the 32GB when I check the hardware-info on the android itself.
Maybe this has something to do with me using the adbcommand for mounting storage incorrectly?
I thought however it would be reset when I used the LG Mobile Support Tool to hardreset everything though.
Anyone got any tips on the matter?
Edit:
Just noticed this guy got the exact same problem;

Hi guys,
I recently bought this phone and it already had a problem on the last OTA update, a network trouble which didn't let the phone get the sim network working, so I flashed a firmware from here which was pre-rooted.
Everything is working fine, less the apps which everytime I install/uninstall causes the phone to restart almost EVERYTIME...
Plus the storage so poor (4GB) already full, I have Link2SD installed but I can't install directly on the SD, only on the phone storage, what is impossible already.
Hope somebody can help with this, i'm not a pro but neither a newbie.
Thanks.
So I wanted to rollback to android 6 with huawei p9lite C434B336, and used guide that said to change version to C900B300 and than install android 6 with Sd card. So I made a mistake and firstly changed my version and then tryed to put mw on my sd card and it was not big enough(1gb). So now im. Stuck with this c900b300, and I fear that I wont get update to stable version to android .
Hey im needing some help fixing my nexus 6p. I just decided to root the devices today and installed a custom rom onto it. Once the devices boots up and prompts me to set up settings it says it dose not recognize my sim card. Simply just says no sim. I have installed Vendor images to the correct roms and still the same issue. I have also rebooted the devices taking the sim card in and out of it multiple times. If anyone could help that would be great. If needed ill pay someone in BTC or ETH
It's an Android 8.0 thing nobody knows what the cause is. Try simple fixes first like disabling screen lock and rebooting, reflashing vendor and then the big one wiping your phone and flashing stock 8.1 . All have been successful if you read through any 8.0 ROM thread. At least 1 on every 8.0 thread page suffers from it. If you don't have access to computer for stock could always flash any 7.1.2 ROM.
Hey all,
DIdn't find any info, or perhaps I'm already lost?
Just did a reset to my device, it is running an old 5.0.2 firmware.
Trying to update it to a better version.
In asus website, I manually downloaded a marshmallow 6.0 firmware, dropped in the root of the internal card but the system doesn't even recognize this update.
Firmware zip file: UL-P021-WW-4.6.5.0-user
So... Any way to manually run the file? externally?
p.s Tried to get into the bootloader but only got a "fast boot" screen with no option, but "click 10 sec to turn the device off".
** unless anyone already solve this and have a better rom/version - would be happy to hear about it too **
Please advise on this.
