Hi!
I discovered a burned pixel in my samsung focus. I know it is small but it nags me everytime I look the screen, any experiences with lcd replacements from ebay?
I ordered one from Hong Kong via ebay, arrived in great shape and excellent packaging. Problem I've ran into is taking apart the i917, I'm stuck at removing the front bezel over the screen (black surrounding lip over front screen) from the remaining shell without any pcb. If anyone has any suggestions for taking the rest of the phone apart please message me! I'm left with the thinnest phone in existence lol. See link
Can you share the link from ebay?
Because some offers show a screen with fingerprints, and the sellers does not seems to understand what you ask.
Too bad that the bezel seems to be attached with glue did you tried to use a heat gun as the link you shared suggests?
Can you exchange all the electronics without changing the screen right? (to keep my phone unlocked, with nodo, etc, but change the screen+bezel from a new complete phone)
I am thinking on order a complete phone because the lcd screens are just too pricey.
Ok, my screen ended up with lines after flashing like many people have, now I don't want to end up buying a crappy knockoff screen from eBay for around $30-50, but I am thinking of buying a frame and screen from a sprint ls980 but I own a d801.
Does anyone know if I can use the frame and lcd with digitizer from a sprint phone for the LG g2 and use the guts from the d801?
Is there other options too? Need to replace screen and already got burned from a knockoff from eBay, any other options?
Hi all.
I recently bought the LG G6, just yesterday.
Today I have found that the metal frame already developed small chips off the metal frame.
They are very tiny, but can be seen when the light at the right angle hits it.
The phone has been at home since unboxing, never dropped, or hit against anything.
I'm thinking that maybe the phone came with this dings and I just failed to notice them upon unboxing the phone yesterday.
I bought the phone parallel imported sourced from Singapore (or Hong Kong).
Model: LG G6 H870DS Black
I have attached a photo of the chipping located at one of the bevel corners of the metal frame. They look silver/white and stands out from the black metal colour.
What I want to ask is, what are your experience with the durability of the G6's metal frame? Is it supposed to be this susceptible to damage? Or should I be returning it as metal shouldn't easily get these blemishes after just having it for over a day?
Thanks.
That's not normal behaviour, i have mine since launch and use it naked (no case), not seen anything like this.
I have 1 little scratch on the back because of a colleague
mine also has no defects on frame but am sure they will come, that band is aluminium which is quite soft and because of the sharp edge I think it will mark (dent) quite easily, best bet is a case like the ultra slim hybrid from Spigen which doesn't cover the whole phone so it looks like any other phone but protects the important bits while one can still see the funky design etc of the G6

Oh wow. Would you say that the frame on yours doesn't have any scratches/dings at all? I was planning on using it naked but doubting because of my frame's state.
Sorry to hear about your scratch
Yep, my frame is as it came out of the box.
I've been using my silver/platinum G6 naked for about 3 weeks now, still looks like it did when I unboxed it.

Dude... If I were you I would return it ASAP... I have found on my Platinum G6 a small tiny defect on the display, and the LG has decided to give me a brand new unit, getting the astro black next week...

Where did you get your G6 from?
My case is different as the defect is external rather than internal like the display.
I went to the store I got it from as soon as I could but they denied it is a manufacturing defect, saying I could've caused the dents within the one day's use I had and that they can't do much about it.

I got it at TIM Brazilian Carrier... Once, I realized that my G6 wasn't perfect, I took it to the authorized technical support right away... LG is going to ship my new astro black G6 unit on Monday.... I guess I was lucky, because I was afraid tha LG would fix my G6, by replacing the entire display, and my G6 wouldn't be the same anymore...
Oh man, that's sad.. Put a case on it....
My LG G2 which I really love fell from my shallow pocket onto stairs and now my display has artifacts/lines. Touchscreen works perfectly and screen isn't cracked, looks as good as brand new. I will upload pictures soon.
If my touchscreen works perfectly and display isn't cracked I probably don't need to buy the whole display or is it all together? I don't really know so I'm asking you guys. And if you have any sites to recommend it would be nice.
Hello, my S7 edge has the bottom black screen problem.
I have a spare motherboard and so I tried the screen on it, It's definitely the display wich is damaged.
I'm looking to change the screen by myself, a brand new screen in Europe costs around 120€... So I looked over Aliexpress and I found some decent prices around 60-70€. Do you think it is risky to order a screen on this website ? Will It be as good as a geniune one ? I've seen many offers saying "amoled screen".
