Hello, my S7 edge has the bottom black screen problem.
I have a spare motherboard and so I tried the screen on it, It's definitely the display wich is damaged.
I'm looking to change the screen by myself, a brand new screen in Europe costs around 120€... So I looked over Aliexpress and I found some decent prices around 60-70€. Do you think it is risky to order a screen on this website ? Will It be as good as a geniune one ? I've seen many offers saying "amoled screen".

Hey,
My HTC Universal screen just cracked, surprisingly without any outside intervention. It was ok this morning and was sitting on my desk. When some friend called me and I picked it up the whole upper screen was cracked. Weird.
Anyway, it's time to replace because I really like this device. So I was looking on ebay and found some sellers who will send it for around 130$-140$ USD. I was wondering if there are some cheaper sellers available outside of ebay that I couldn't find.
Also, maybe someone has a broken Universal with a working screen. My device is missing the front plate (where the IR) and I could always use the extra parts.
Thanks!

Hey,
Somehow I managed to brake my screen and now I can't see anything but weird colours on the display.
I was wondering where I can purchase a new LCD for my Hermes.
Also, I am looking for the best price; i'd really appreciate if you could give me some hints about what to do or if it is worth it at all to buy a new screen instead of replacing the whole damn device.
Is a broken LCD covered under the warranty?
How hard is it to replace the screen once bought and what's the thing with the TouchScreen, is that a seperate thing ?
Thanks

there is a how to video on youtube

but it doens't look very simple...
Ebay has them for sale, no idea how much for. Heres a good site to look for manuals to dissassemble your hermes... http://michael-channon.spaces.live.com/PersonalSpace.aspx?_c02_owner=1
Good luck...
I've just broke the screen on my Desire Z, the Touch Screen Glass on the front seems ok, but the actual screen has gone black and where the crack is in the bottom corner you can just about see the home screen (why couldn't it of been the other way round, Boooh).
Anyway I've been looking around on Amazon & Ebay for a replacement screen, and all I can find anywhere are LCD screens, and I've always thought my DZ had an Amoled screen.
Just wondering if, maybe I've got it wrong and it is an LCD, or if they are different is the connection usually the same, could you put an LCD screen in a phone that came with an Amoled.
I don't mind fitting the screen myself, but I'd like to make sure it's right before I buy it.
Thanks ...John...
Its a s-lcd capacitive screen as far as I know, check out gsmarena.com for confirmation.
Only the Desire had Amoled and even those were switched over to S-LCD later because of the shortage of amoled screens.
It says on GsmArena that it should be an S-LCD, but everywhere I've looked they only refer to LCD screens, I hope the're not just cheap replacements, made by 5 year olds in a sweatshop somewhere. Maybe you need to get the proper S-LCD ones from HTC.
The one that I'm purchasing off ebay
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-HTC-DESIRE-Z-REPLACEMENT-LCD-SCREEN-DISPLAY-/190501390411?pt=UK_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item2c5ac4884b says it's an original HTC spare. I just hope that all the Desire Z's have the same type of connection.
Thanks ...John...
Just a quick update for anyone else who may have a similar concern, I bought the screen off ebay, and installed it and it is exactly the same as the original HTC screen.
It seems that even though it's an S-LCD screen, it's still just labeled as an LCD screen. So just make sure that you find a trustworthy supplier, as there are a lot of cheap substandard screens for sale (especially on ebay).
Thanks ...John...
I have a Note 3 that is for AT&T (SM-N900A i believe) the LCD screen behind the gorilla glass has broken. So the phone wont display anything. You can see the cracks behind the gorilla glass. Ive been looking online for replacement screen for it. It seems the screen and glass with frame comes as an assembly all together. I am wondering what is the correct one to get because I see some listed for At&t, sprint, verizon etc etc. Does it matter who the carrier is for the screen? Or is that just marketing to target key word searches? Also where is the best place to buy a replacement screen at the best price? I see a lot of places. Then I try and look up reviews on the webistes selling them. Sometimes I find some bad reviews so its discouraging. Taking the phone apart and replacing the screen isnt a problem for me. I just want to know some things before I buy.
did you find a good deal on display assemblies?
Hi,
First i am sorry if there is already a topic like this one but i was unable to find it. Feel free to just point at it and be approprately mean with me.
My N4 fell on the back and the touchscreen does not respond correctly anymore (a 2cm high band in the middle is unresponsive, jsut where i should validate my pin code). I would like to know if you know fair prices, high quality screen replacements. The original part from LG is 120 EUR according to my local retailer, but i see replacements on amazon and ebay around 50 eur. I know i could replace the touchscreen only but it seems very risky, so i'd prefer to replace the whole screen instead.
Thanks !

The two ebay screens I've ordered were both blems with air bubbles trapped in the film. They worked though. I've got pictures of them somewhere.
So I just bought and installed this one a week ago:
etradesupply dot com/oem-lg-nexus-4-e960-lcd-screen-and-digitizer-assembly-with-front-housing.html
And it was worth every penny. My digitizer had cracked in the bottom corner, but was fully functional. What I didn't realize was how scratched up the glass was and how much the oleophobic coating had worn off. The new screen, digitizer, and frame from etradesupply was perfect. No bubbles, the glass was curved on the sides, and it is just as responsive as the stock screen. I was really worried about it not being up to OEM standard. The installation was very easy. I have read some replacements not having a filter over the LED and light bleeds out, but this one has the filter. 5 stars, would buy again. I did alot of research before hand, and have heard many horror stories of Ebay replacements, but this one really worked out well.
