Hallo friends,
I updated my Huawei Mate 9 Pro Lon-L29-C432 to 8.0.0.366 (Oreo).
I purchased it in Denmark and use it with a German Sim-card. After some discussions with Huawei Support, that this will not work, I had to use FF to get the upgrade.
At least all went well, but:
=> Meanwhile I realized one problem:
- To get the start screen I push the button and no lock screen appears only black screen.
- I have to push the button 4 times to get the home screen.
Any one else have this unusual behavier???
Is any necessary update or circumvention available??
Greetings Konrad

Hallo Brian, I did not find a solution up to now, Konrad
Do you use the "always on" feature? Try to turn it off.

Thanks radek.p,
- I turned the 'allways on' off, it worked without a lock screen.
- I locked it with a password, it worked.
- I deleted the password and it works with lockscreen without password.
Problem solved! Konrad
Yeah it's a bug with the always on feature.. Stupid Huawei..

But its all correct now, only by a new assignment of the lock screen...
So no problem with Huawei.

Hello,
Just wondering if anyone else has a similar problem or knows how to fix this. About 60secs after turning my phone off it turns itself back on, but only briefly (about 10secs). Obviously this can be quite annoying - esp if it's in my pocket by this point and decides it wishes to call someone!
I have an imate Jam
Cheers
Si
use any third party softwares like mem-maid and check you notification queue. Else check the background programs, processes that make your fone turn on..
Regards
Carty..

I have the same problem! And I know the cause! It is hardware problem. Try to pull out your flashcard! See? Must be no turn-ons! If it so, I think you understand now, what the problem is...

this worked for me. (tnx Carty )
i had the same prob. that the device occasionally turned on by him self...wich can be very annoying... so i installed mem-maid... did only a full scan and clean with it... and now it's fixed... very strange, but it worked hehe
First of all sorry for opening a new thread.....did search but didn´t find anything.....and I usually get annoyed myself by people asking question that have already been answered....
Problem: once in a while - and in no understandable pattern - my HD does not switch to standby after the set timeout (60s for me). Soft-reset does not solve the issue, but it disappears after a while (several times turning the display on/off). Have not changed/installed anything recently. First blamed it on S2U2.....uninstalled and problem seemed to be solved, but only until today - now it´s back in all its glory....
Already compared the - what I think - relevant registry values to my Diamond registry....no suspects there.
And no, there is no video-, audio-, or navigation program running in the background, as the problem manifests itself right after a restart/soft-reset....
Any ideas?
Thanks!!
mine does the same...I've just gotten used to it.

Hmmm....I don´t want to get used to it, because whenever the device wakes up (missed call, reminder, alert etc.) the display stays on (altough dimmed) using up battery power....
Same problem here with my Diamond.
Any news or ideas on this?
Same for me, and it's a very big problem!
I've read in some of the other posts that it may have to do with the activation of auto-screen lock that is included in the ROM, but this isn't turnd on in my case!
I use my Blackstone professionally, which means I need as much battery power as possible on one charge! At the moment this problem makes the device last for about half a day during work!
If anyone has a fix, I would appreciate hearing about it
I already posted in the sticky but didn't get any answer.
My problem is one that occurs quite often how I see but still I don't find any solution.
The problem is that the screen of my HD doesn't show up anymore when it was in standby and I left it for some minutes. It's on because I can still change the loudness and I can feel the buzz of the buttons when touching one. It takes me some luck and time to bring it completly to life again by pressing over and over the ON/OFF button. When I bought it the problem occured very rare but now it's happening all the time when it is in standby.
I never did install any roms (because until now I have no idea what it is about ), the only things I have done so far:
Installed TomTom 7.450.9028 and these two registry edits:
under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Svc\POP3 i renamed the mailtrns.dll to mailtrns2.dll (it's a fix for the email because my GMX account didn't work with POP3 on my phone) and the other was setting the value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/GPSIntermediateDriver/Drivers/GPSOneDevice/PollIntervall, to get better GPS-Signal
Everything else is just original, like it was when I bought it some days ago.
Is there anything I can do? Or do I have to send it in?
I really like the phone and it's working perfect except to this point so I'd like to stick to it. Hope you have some advice,
THX in advance,

Have you tried going to Start > Settings > All Settings > System > Power > Advanced and making sure device isn't set to turn off after a period of time?
Thx for reply but doesn't that mean my phone will be always on? Or can I set it then manually (by pressing ON/OFF) in standby and turn on again without problems?

Yes to both, it will remain on unless you manually put it into standby by pressing on/off
Ok, I try it out now. Hope it works that it comes on out of standby without problems.
Wow until now for exactly 1 hour and 33 minutes no problems. Seems to work, hope it will continue like this, if so I could kiss you

Could be difficult (grin).
I have a big problem,it happens once a day(it happend before MR1,with MR1,and with MR2). Cant unlock the screen, when I need to drag padlock left or right it just cant, padlock stays on the left or right side, I can get it back to the middle but unlock - NO (sometimes it promts for some ''unlock code'' but it is not usuall lock code, one REFERENCE it is NOT set to use a screen lock code). Only soft reset helps. Somebody have something to say???
hi
this is a strange thing you said, and i can't imagine what are you saying.
but try to set a unlock code and set the setting not to ask the code.
i can't tell the step by step cause i'm updating the MR2 right now.
I had similar problem after upgrading my X2 to MR1. It used to happen frequently.
Yesterday evening I upgraded my X2 to MR2, since then I have encoutered the same problem once.
Any solution?
that problem makes me very.........i cant use basic functions like answering the call when it happens. and that was happening to me also before i installed mr1and now with mr2.
I solved problem when set the device to promt for a pass when unlock, but when i turn off that option problem comes back. I must use my phone with that option turned ON or it will freeze every day.
Ah had this all the time initially, after MR1 it never happened at all.
In about a couple weeks of MR2 usage, it happened once. Hasn't happened again, but ever since then my sms alerts randomly become silent.
Guess MR2 is still quite buggy. I'm about to jump ship.
I've had a lock bug on the MR1 a lot but with MR2 i've only had it once (where it would tell me that my pass was invalid when it wasn't). A quick reboot of the phone and it hasn't happen again (thankfully).
Maybe every once in a while (every 1-2 weeks) give your phone a full reboot (pop out the battery, put it back and turn the phone on). Maybe that will keep you from getting it as frequently (maybe).
guys,
do you use Autolock activated mode when you see unexpected password to unlock prompt or when you can't unlock unit by moving bubble on the screen?
I sow this issue a lot of times - but it's interesting that I never sow this issue when unit is in autolock and in sleep mode, I receive input call and I see bubbles like Answer or Skip but I always can unlock my unit and answer or skip Call. Do you know anything about similar issues for other WinMob products?

Hello.
Just updated my phone to android 8, but after this I have a strange bug unlocking my phone with fingerprint. Sometimes my phone does not unlock at all.. I get the haptic feedback and the bottom buttons light up, but the screen remains black. And sometimes it works.. Don't know why this is happening. Anyone have a clue?
My phone has got same issue. Any fixes ?
I worked around it by disabling always on display. Try it
Mine does the same , and i also disabled the "always on" - but i liked the clock was shown when phone screen was not "idle" - would certainly like a work around to get this on again....
