Rooted Android boot takes too long - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I rooted my android and now whenever I switch it on the Samsung boot logo stays on but it never finishes the boot and when I remove the battery and boots it up it works perfectly. Can someone Pls help me for that long initial boots (I am a noob) because of it I can't update my android via flashfire

What is the phone's model #? How did you root?

The phone model is sgh-i337m and I rooted my phone using kingoroot and later replaced it with SuperSU because kingoroot was not letting me download anything and that meant not receiving any WhatsApp message.

I recommend flashing the latest stock ROM and then root by installing twrp and flashing supersu through twrp or flash a stock ROM and root using Odin and cfautoroot.

Here is what I used on both jb and kk. I went to twrp home page and downloaded the latest version (img.tar) and flashed it via Odin 3.09. I then downloaded downloaded the custom ROM and flashed using the recovery. If you are wanting to stay stock with root download the latest version of superSU to your SD card and then flash using the custom recovery.
Here is one thing I found out after updating to KK when holding the buttons to boot into recovery only hold them until you see the text "recovery booting" (or something similar). If you continue to hold, the phone will bootloop and actually turn on. Hope this helps.

please where to download this file please? you said you go to twrp home page, where is it?
Second, you said: If you are wanting to stay stock with root download the latest version of superSU to your SD card and then flash using the custom recovery.
I don't understand what you mean, can we root it without flashing the firmware? only using the latest version of superSU to my SD card and then flash using the custom recovery. that's all.
Other questions:
Oneclic root software can it work with Note 3 N900T 4.3 T-MBIL , Such as: VRoot_1.7.4. or kingo Android root ?

Twrp: http://teamw.in/project/twrp2
(Make sure you download the correct version for you OS. Kitkat or Jelly Bean. If it were me I would make sure you are updated to KK.) Make sure the file you download is the one ending with img.tar and flash with Odin.
You do not need to flash a custom ROM to achieve root. You can use the base android version and have root. If you want to use a custom ROM there is no need to mess with SuperSU as almost every ROM will have it prebuilt in. If you are ONLY wanting root without changing your ROM then you will need to flash SuperSU using a custom recovery, I prefer twrp.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053
Here is the link to get the .zip file for the most up to date version of SuperSU.
Here are some instructions:
Flash twrp using Odin
Enter recovery mode (if not sure how to do it, Google it) Make sure you only hols the buttons until the words "recovery booting" appear and then release.
Once in twrp you can then flash your ROM or SuperSU. If you do not know how to use twrp just look it up on YouTube.
Once you have twrp and SuperSU OR a custom ROM you should be rooted.
WARNING: Rooting your phone with my method WILL trip Knox!
Extra questions: I did research and did not trust the companies performing the one click root. It's up to you on who you trust. I have no experience with the one touch rooting, but as long as they say you device is supported by them then you should be good to go.

Galaxy Note 4- Can't Install TWRP

Note 4 Can't Install TWRP
Hello,
I'm in the process of installing a recovery mod rooting my root 4.
When I try to install TWRP using Odin, I don't get any error messages, it says PASS, everything looks okay.
When I try to boot into recovery, it shows the android bot with the message (installing system updates) under it, and then it loads the default samsung recovery instead of TWRP.
I made sure that I have the correct version of TWRP downloaded (N910H Exynos version, named twrp-2.8.7.0-treltexx.img.tar). I aslo ran Odin as administrator, but it's still not working, the knox counter was tripped however.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, because I can't proceed with the rooting process without TWRP.
Did you root your phone before flashing the recovery?
EDIT: By the way, when you have flashed the recovery, you MUST immediately boot into recovery, or else the stock rom will overwrite it with the default recovery.

Rooted Sprint Galaxy S4 SPH-L720 but cannot boot into TWRP

Phone: Sprint Galaxy S4 on 5.0.1 Lolipop
Model: SPH-L720
Rom: Stock
Build: L720VPUGOK3_L720SPTGOK3_SPR
Rooted: Yes via Chainfire
Primary use for this phone: To play Pokemon GO with whatever working technique for Systemless Xposed with Pokemon GO Control & Snorlax.
Why?: I got tired of flashing my Note 4 (N910H) variant and none of the techniques work for my phone at the moment.
I have flashed different versions of TWRP including older versions and none of them seem to work. I get a passed in Odin but when I attempt to boot into recovery, I get a black screen pause, vibration, and then it reboots normally into system.
Partial Solution:
1. Download Flashify (for root users) from Playstore
2. Download TWRP latest version twrp-3.0.2-0-jfltespr.img
3. Grant super user
4. Reboot
5. Now my phone boots into TWRP.
Update:
It looks like my bootloader is messed up. I can only boot into TWRP if I use the TWRP manager app. Well, I got a bootloop from unrooting a custom rom but was not able to boot into TWRP recovery. I flashed my stock firmware through Odin and attempted to boot into stock recovery and it's not there. All it does is shows a black screen, vibrates, then boots normally into system.
What did you use to root it? I have a Sprint L720 (not the T version) and can't find a tool that will root it.

[HELP] Note 4 boot loop after installing TWRP recovery (possibly soft brick?)

I have Note 4 model N910H firmware 5.1.1 and I rooted it using chainfire method. I checked using root checker and it says my phone was rooted properly. So I install TWRP latest recovery using flashify. The phone rebooted to recovery mode fine but it says that my phone not rooted so I'm confused and I let TWRP rooted it again. After that I reboot to system and I can't enter it instead it was stuck looping samsung and android logo.
So, what can I do? I can enter TWRP recovery and download mode. I know I can flash it to stock 5.1.1 but I dont know what version to use from SamMobile (XID/XSE, I'm from Indonesia) and there's different PDA/CSC version. So if I just pick one of them and flash it to my phone will it be okay? I want to avoid flashing to be honest because the rom size is so big so is there's a way to fix it without flashing?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Note 3 SM-N9005, Can't Boot to recovery.

My N9005 is unable to boot into recovery, whenever i try it will start to boot and then just restart itself.
When trying to reboot normally the cyanogenmod loading screen is very laggy and it just reboots after a while.
occasionally it will start normally (1/20 tries).
I tried to reflash twrp with odin but it makes no difference.
Cyanogenmod version 12.1-20161016-NIGHTLY-hlte.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Flash stock rom via Odin to get a working phone.
Or restore your Nandroid.
Reflashed stock rom and phone was working perfectly. stock recovery was also working.
Then rooted with CF-autoroot and it went well.
Then i tried to install TWRP custom recovery and it still won't let me boot to recovery.
Android version is 5.0 if that matters?
Edit: Managed to make it work with another version
Did you find a solution? I have thee same issue
Thanks

good evening everyone,
I come back to this forum because I have this beautiful phone that I can not update the android version 9.
On the recovery I can not go beyond the version 2.8.7.0, if I try to put a more recent version it remains in bootloop even if I restart manually.
To know that I have the HTLE model, the only thing is that I replaced the screen with a Chinese model.
then I put the original version back via odin and it goes back to version 5.
I am completely desapointed, I do not know what to do to put it under android 8+ !!!!
PLEASE HELP
