So this weekend I bought a Galaxy Tab A SM-T580 from the local flea market. It was dead when I found it and the guy I bought it from said it was for parts. I figured for as cheap as I got it, I would risk buying a paper weight in hopes he didnt know what he had and I might find a decent deal. Come to find out it works just fine except its FRP locked. I havent had an android in years so this FRP lock stuff is new to me. After watching videos and browsing the forum I still cant figure out a way to unlock it to get it to work.
From what I can tell it is running android 7 with stock T580UEU2BQF1. I have tried flashing a different ROM with ODIN but I just get the message that its FRP locked. All the videos about unlocking it seem to be for older versions as there is no way (I can see) to pull up a web browser or anything like that. I can select a WiFi network then it goes to the login screen for the account that was previously used.
My question is... Is all hope lost and I have a pretty paperweight or is there an actual way around this? I havent rooted or jailbreaked phones in years so Im not as hip to the ways and lingo used nowadays. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
SM-T580 FRP is nothing new, you need to read other related threats to understand how to do it.
Personally bypass FRP over hundreds of Samsung tablets, I can tell this security lock is a joke. No skill or tools needed to bypass this FRP.
I won't repeat how to do it because it's ready discussed in many threats.

Searching the forums and googling it is the first thing I did but none of the methods I found have worked. Unless I missed a step somewhere I haven't been able to find a solution to bypassing it on android 7. I have tried flashing to 6 like many have stated but it wont flash. If you have done hundreds it shouldn't be too difficult to post some relevant info about it instead of just telling me to search.

I can bypass FRP on Android 7 but it will trigger Knox count, the best solution is downgrade to Android 6. It won’t flash old builds so don’t try. Look at the last 3 characters of the build, it will tell the date of release like
PL4, based on alphabetical order
P= 2016
L= 12
Version 4, released on Dec, 2016

Beut gave you a link to the correct thread but you have to watch the video link in his post in that thread. Post #4. And you have to watch it VERY CAREFULLY or you'll miss an important point. If it doesn't work after you've used Odin to flash the 6 ROM ending in PL4, it is because you missed something in the video. IT WILL WORK IF YOU DO IT RIGHT.
edit: And once you get it running, the tablet will update to the latest 7 from Samsung.

The current build on the tablet is "T580UEU2BQF1". When I try to flash "T580XXU2APL4" I get a message on the tablet "custom binary(recovery) blocked by FRP lock". I've attached some pictures.
Watching the video in the link doesnt really help as the setup on mine is different and I dont have the options to bring up chrome or anything like that.

Did you flash three files: BL, AP, CSS ? I have no problem of downgrade to PL4 from the newer build than yours: QL1.
QF1: version 1 released on June 17
QL1: version 1 released on Dec 17.
If you do correctly, no problem of downgrade to Android 6. I have done FRP bypass hundreds of Samsung tablets without any issue.
Again, this FRP lock is a joke, people has a hard time to do it because they don't do it properly.
Common mistakes I have seen:
1- Use method only works on Android 6 to a tablet with Android 7
2-Downgrade to old firmwares of Android 6 which will fail immediately.
3- Use Google search instead of Chrome, it will block any download for security reason,
3- Download Google Account manager 7 which doesn't have option to add new email account.
As long as you can use Assist to open chrome and download correct apps: Google account manager and quick shortcut maker, then FRP lock will be gone.
I have done many FRP bypasses with ease, not only this model but others as well. You have ti know which method works with what build.
A common misunderstanding that people always assume a method can work on any tablet, OS, or build. Youtube videos are examples, no such thing as universal methods.

This method will trigger Knox, so it's the last option, I don't share the link with anyone.
You have to ask me in private message. GSM flasher cracked or paid is a must. You have to search to find it
Flash in normal Download Mode ( Power + Volume Down + Home ) with FRP is on, it will lock the custom binary file.
GSM flasher will help to Download Mode, then use Odin to flash the FRP removal file in AP slot.
After the tablet reboot, do a Factory Reset because the storage now is only 8GB. This method works with Android 7 but will trigger Knox count
Why don't you try the downgrade method ? I have done many times without any issue and it takes only 10 minutes.

I don't know where you downloaded the firmware, the one I downloaded from Sammobile has 3 files: BL, CS, and AP.
Your odin should look like this
Again, this FRP lock is not a rocket science, I have done hundreds without problem.
You have problem that means you're missing something or did it incorrectly.

From these pics, it would appear you are trying to flash from Odin from recovery screen. That is wrong!! To use Odin, you need to be in the DOWNLOAD mode with the green screen. Hold the Home, Vol down and Power buttons for about ten seconds. When the first green screen appears, release all buttons and then press Vol up. Another green screen will appear telling you you are in the download mode and not to turn off the tablet. Then flash the three files for PL4 from Odin.

I downloaded the file from firmware.mobi and there was only one file.
Looking at your picture and Sammobile, it looks like you are using the "Cellular South" and not "Canada". Are you located in the US or is this something that doesnt really matter for the tablet? Just dont want to use the wrong region for where I am and have possible issues later. I appreciate the help so far!
I am using US version but the principal is the same as other regions, use the latest version of Android 6
Anyway, you can use US version to bypass, then flash back your region Android 7
The picture I posted is the flash back Android 7 after bypassing FRP

dear BEUT, i'm sorry t bother again, but unfortunately i have already failed with the downgrade to PL4. I did as advised: download XAR PL4, applied the three files to odin, connected the T580, it was recognized by odin as expected and then pressed start, but the flash process stopped immediately with an error message. please see the attached pictures. i am thankful for any further advice.

It seems your build is the latest Android 7 of United Kingdom, it doesn't allow to downgrade to Android 6, however, you might downgrade to the older Android 7, QL1 or QI9, try the QI9 first, it might allow to downgrade to Android 6. US build QL1 Android 7 doesn't have any problem of downgrading to Android 6 PL4. However, it will fail similarly as yours if downgrade to older build than PL4
Alphabetical order of released Year and Month of the build
RF4 : 18-4 ( Version 4, April 18 )
QL1 : 17-12 ( Version 1, December 17 )
QI9 : 17-9 ( Version 9, September 17 )
PL4 : 16-12 ( Version 4, December 16 )
thx BEUT, i will give it a try and post result here.

My Father-in-law tried updating the firmware on my wife's SM-G900V and now it's stuck in a boot loop. I am able to get it into download mode and recovery (I've cleaned the cache and factory reset it dozens of times), and I have been able to flash the latest marshmallow and lollipop images using Odin (passes with no issues), but it's still stuck in the boot loop.
When I get home from work tonight my plan is to try some of the "debricking" and or "rooting" guides I've found on this site:

Should one of these do the trick, or will I be wasting my time and should be trying something else? Thanks in advance for your advice/help!

I have not tried the first method so I cannot say if it will work for a stock debrick. If you are going to use that, make sure the phone is on a PB1/PD1 firmware.
The second one is rooting the phone. I have usedthis one with both CIDs and have had no issues. Since the phone wont boot, you might not be able to locate the CID, so please read the following thread before starting:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/help/to-id-cid-15-loading-app-t3756413
UPDATE: Also, Here is a link to a firmware with the pit file:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...rmware-pit-verizon-samsung-galaxy-s5-t3757416
You may want to try that first before doing the other ones. Having a pit file during the firmware install sometimes helps to fix it.
Try it, see if it works, if you have any more issues, let me know.
Good Luck!
Thanks for the quick reply!
I updated the pit file and didn't get any errors from Odin. I think the issue I'm stuck with is I don't know what original firmware was on here, so I randomly pick on of the many available ones (like I mentioned previously, I've tried Lollipop and Marshmallow). This time I tried this one:
G900VVRU2BPB1_G900VVZW2BPB1_G900VVRU2BPB1_HOME.tar
The phone actually boots up and I hear the music of it booting up, but the screen doesn't come one. I can still get to recovery and download mode (but I can't see what I'm doing). Is this a matter of just working my way through the list of firmwares until I find the one that works?
Thanks again

It depends on which firmware I flash it with.....usually I get the logo as it's in the bootloop. The only change was when I used that PB1 firmware and it actually booted, minus the screen....

Try going into Download/Odin Mode and (first grab some binoculars LOL!) take a look at the top (small letter) information and (you may want to write it down) see what the device information states there.
It just seems as though you may have a specific variant of the S5 that may have been unlocked and flashed to the one you believe that you have...
... OR you are correct with the Variant but, are trying to flash the wrong Firmware Version (one of the previous releases) and the device is preventing it.
I think that it may be the first assumption but, I could be wrong...

Product name is correct.
I'd flash this one: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=818070582850486654
It's the latest firmware with full-wipe.
The first boot should take 12-15 min.
If the phone does not boot within 20 min. it will mean a hardware problem.
First off let me apologies in advance if this it the wrong post in the wrong place.
My problem is;
I bought a FRP locked samsung Note 4. The model appears to be N910T3UVS3EQB1.
I have looked at Youtube videos where people find a loophole in the locked software and break out to download unlock software, but mine has none of these.
So I installed ODIN 3.13 downloaded a firmware package and tried to send it to the phone.
the firmware file was N910TUVU1ANK4_N910TTMB1ANK4_N910TUVU1ANK4_HOME.tar.md5
I connected the phone in download mode, started the process, and it failed. The phone showed the script;
UDC START
SECURE CHECK FAIL : aboot
[1] eMMC write fail : ABOOT
Some years ago I did manage to change the firmware on a S2. Just to say I have managed this process at some time. Can anyone help? Questions I have are;
is it even possible to download a new firmware if FRP is on?
am I using the right ODIN version?
Where and what download files should I use if it is possible?
Now my phone is in Download mode, can I get it out by switching it off or is it now a small doorstop?
I hope this is ok for a start or at least a pointer to a better place to ask.
Simion.

thanks for that, I had a look and am I right in saying its another software package for downloading firmware. Though it might be better I am hoping to get to grips with ODIN first. If I can get answers to the questions I posed or some pointers from those who know more than me I think I will make progress.

Hello,
I just flashed TWRP and LineageOs-v16.0-UNOFFICIAL from this https://forum.xda-developers.com/samsung-a-series/orig-development/rom-lineageos-v16-0-unofficial-samsung-t3892229 and after reboot the screens shows "Custom binary blocked by FRP Lock.".
I bought this mobile phone completely legal. I read a lot about this, but I do not really understand what the purpose this functionality has.
When I started flashing TWRP on it, I haven't done a "Factory Reset" in the original Firmware. So I of course don't know the Google Account from the previous owner. I also don't now why the hell the Google Account is responsible for this.
I read, that with flashing Stock Rom and activating "OEM Unlocking" and the problem should be solved. I have never heared of "OEM unlocking" before, on my other phones I don't even have this point in the developer options.
Is this the solution? And where can I get a Stock Rom which will work?

No you don't need payment method for downloading from sammobile, Only needed if you want to download at high speeds. Provide me the link where you found your firmware from sammobile. With that link, I can download it, upload it to high speed servers, and then give you the link where you can download. I am asking for the link as I don't know what country you live in and therefore don't know the correct firmware. By the what I mean SM-A510xx, replace the "xx" and give the country code or the country you live in so that I can find the firmware as the number you gave me (A510FXX7CRJ6) is not what I meant and that number is a firmware number and not the device number.
ok, so after your post i tried another time to get an account on sammobile.com and now i succeeded. So the download is running atm. But the next question is; how am i supposed to get by the FRP lock? Cuz i tried to flash TWRP on it with odin, but got stopped by the FRP lock.

No. You don't need TWRP to flash stock rom via Odin. Just get the phone into download mode and flash the stock firmware via odin. You flash it the same way as you flash TWRP but just use the stock firmware. Hope this helps. Also, please make sure that the firmware is correct and if not, your phone will be stuck in a boot loop.

You have two options. The google account has a cool off period and I read that if you wait 24 hours, the login will be gone. However, on old android phones, you have to wait 72 hours. But if you go to a Samsung service center, they will remove the logins for free.
I found this website where you can bypass the lock but I am not sure if it works. Do the samsung bypass and not any other brands. Try it anyway: https://www.unlockunit.com/blog/bypass-google-account-verification-factory-reset-protection/

How did it go?
Hi Forum users
have a problem in attempting to ROOT my phone
SAMSUNG GALAXY S8
been a novice user made a mistake
hopping I can still win.
will give very brief Description for the moment hoping to get some help
Basically phone booted into Standard ROM b4 I had finished (last step applying ROOT)
I now get an Error that boots and reboots) the error is
"Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed"
can still get into Download screen, but cannot get to recovery (TWRP)
Oden can still connect to download screen.
I think what I need to do is a Factory reset again, and hopefully get back into RECOVERY
any suggestions or help would be gratefully received
thanks
PS
happy to give full description if needed

You will need to flash firmware via odin.
You can download firmware with updato.com or sammobile.com
Thanks for reply
Thanks for the reply
Ok just to be clear
I have already flashed TWRP
SO I have a bootloader installed
but cannot access RECOVERY MODE
SO I can access Oden in download mode
which Firmware are you suggesting I Flash
Just had a browse of those sites seem to be mainly Northern hemisphere
I am in Australia
But from what I understand we have the same CPU as the European ones

1. Flashing firmware will delete twrp.
2. Being from Australia myself all firmware are on the website. You will have to filter out for Australian firmware.
3. Do you know what firmware you are on.

Hmm didn't take note of that B4 starting
but I think my Model numbers is SM-G950F if that helps
SM-G950F Exynos 8895 9 - just done a quick Google

Flashing stock rom will restore you phone to it's original state. So you will have to install twrp and root again.
For information about firmware and Odin maybe this may be of some help.

If you are not sure about your firmware install the latest version.
On the website they will also have dates of when the firmwares are released.
You can use also samfirm or frija ( PC applications ) to download latest firmware.
OK will follow that info
and do the Firmware update
As I don't know the firmware number, will have to try the latest version
will do a bit more reading when I have a some time and give it a go
thanks for the links.
Will let you know how it turns out
THANKS
Few more Questions
OK done some reading
filtered out some relevent Files, (I hope)
one file took 16 hours to download (they where feeding it at 50kbs).
So have two files which where listed as XSA carrier,
others where Telstra and Optus.
As I am not aware of XSA carrier was hopping that it was some sort of generic carrier firmware
Is that correct ??
One is version 8
the other is version 9
So should I go with the version 9 ?
Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure I get it right
THANKS

XSA is unbranded firmware ( it's what I have installed on my phone).
If you are locked into a carrier flashing other firmware will not unlock you from that carrier.
Not knowing what firmware you had before and because of download speeds you may have to use version 9 ( PIE ) firmware.
To check software version no. ( bootloader ) you can check in download mode. It should have a line saying AP SWREV: B : * - the star is your bootloader version. So you will have to use this version or higher when flashing firmware.
Make sure of your model number when searching for firmware. S8 = SM-G950f
Im having a similar problem, had to install stock july patch im using latest odin version then, i install recovery but when the phone reboots there is no recovery, tried to downgrade to february patch but odin dont allow it

Are you talking about stock or custom recovery and what is the issues you are having with it.
Depending on you bootloader version number you can not down grade firmware.
I tried to install stock recovery, the problem is: odin installs sucessfully recovery but when i try to go to recovery is not installed

Glad you got it sort out.
Not sure about the signing in. I use mobile app which is logged it to my Google account. I do have some issues with the PC ( without logging into Google ) but don't use it much. All I can suggest is to try a search on XDA or ask the moderators for assistance
Retry installing Recovery

Try to install TWRP again via Odin.
i have the T580 32GB of a friend here, that does not work at the moment (and maybe never again ) - the problem is that on startup it only gives this message in red letter :
could not do normal boot invalid kernel length

the only thing i can do is get into download mode - but i fail when i try to install a stock rom via odin - after NAND Write Start!! it times out and gives me a fail.
i already tried a 3 different odin versions and adroid 6.0, 7.0 and 8.01 Stock Rom for SM-T580 but no luck so far.
another problem is my friend does not know what the android version he was on before that hapend - and the tablet has Samsung FRP on.
maybe some of the experts here have an advice what i can try otherwise this tab a is really bricked - furthermore i wonder how this could happen as my friend swears he did not try to put twrp or anything else onto the tablet ....
Have you tried flashing TWRP using ODIN? (AP Slot)
i do not know if flashing twrp is a good idea as i do not know if oem unlock is enabled - and as it does not boot up i cannot switch it on in developer options

Wouldn't it simply fail if OEM unlocking was disabled? I don't know honestly. I'd try it if no other solutions come up.

I think you are going about it wrong. Instead of booting to download mode, try booting to recovery mode via Home, Vol Up and Power and then selecting Factory Reset. This is always necessary before you can use download to flash a ROM via Odin and it might make using Odin unnecessary.
of course i tried to get into receovery mode but the problem is i can't - when i do home, vol up and power absolutely nothing happens, i only get into download mode
edit: i believe FRP is the Problem this prevents odin from writing the files to the tablet - as it allways times out with :
Complete(Write) operation failed.

what i do not really understand is why FRP does not let odin flash an original samsung firmware ?
[QUOTE what i do not really understand is why FRP does not let odin flash an original samsung firmware ?[/QUOTE]
This sounds more like a binary issue. I have reason to believe you are what's called an FRP Binary Lock. Recovery is usually inaccessable or re-routed and you cannot "seem" to use Odin3 but in fact you can. This issue you apparently are having sounds oddly like some issues I've had on these devices and is often a result of bad Rooting or invalid firmware being installed. This overloads the binaries and puts the device in a locked mode with symptoms of an inaccessible Recovery a difficult to use Odin3 or a bootloop. Most of the time I hear of a notification somewhere of an FRP lock. If this is the situation you are in here is a link to a page of mine that will give you the files to helpfully solve your issue. Let me know if that works or not.

it sounds like i am in the same situation and i tried your files but it does not let me download them through odin - i also wrote you a pm maybe you find the time to answer me.
i really wonder how this could happen as my friend swears he did never try to flash anything onto the tab, and i really believe him as he absolutely knows nothing about flashing or where to get a firmware and not even how to get into dl mode ....

The situation I was suspecting is a "Custom Binaries are Blocked by FRP Lock" to which you would have seen a notification of it in one of 4 ways. Your situation is somewhat similar because you cannot access Recovey and although Download Mode is accessable it appears useless. Your device is not Bricked. A bricked device is unusable in any way and these days most devices can be restored.
You do seem to be having some difficulties that are usually common with binary issues. You can in fact use Odin3 but how is the question. Usually one can flash in the Stock firmware and that returns the device to normal. When it becomes impossible to flash in stock firmware or anything else it seems, to my experiance has always been a Binary issue. I will provide a link to the 4File Official firmware. And instructions for you to properly use it for your needs.
SM-T580 Official Stock Firmware 4Files
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1zvhwUfSRW44V1ZwEsHLRvlh-T0M79ks9
I'll assume you know something about using Odin3. Unzip the file to your desktop. There are 4 files but you'll only use 3 of them. You can use the patched version of Odin3.13B or you can use Odin3.14. Place the files in their respective places. BL, and AP are easy enough to see where they go. Now there is a file labeled CSC and one labeled HOME CSC. You will only use one of them. The CSC file returns your app data to factory settings (it erases everything). The Home CSC file keeps the app data. So it's your choice which one you choose. These are Official Firmware Files so you should be able to flash them in. Should that not work for you my most likely answer would be that your binaries are the issue and that is why you can't as of yet use Odin sucessfully. Does Odin even try to initiate a flash then stalls or does it do nothing altogether?
There are two different Binary files for the SM-T580 that I have. I would suggest using the Binary 4 FRP first. f I recall correctly the Odin3.13B patched version was made for this. Place the file in the AP section and try flashing it. You should get a few gears on the screen turning if it applied, or maybe not. If that fails use the U4 Binary Unlock file. It is only after you flash in the binary files that you can then install the Stock Firmware. It is the overloaded binaries that prevent the use of Odin as you may be experiancing. I am also including the Knox cleaner in case you need to reset it.
SM-T580 Binary files:
Binary 4 FRP Unlock

U4 Binaries. This is two files. Flash one at a time using the AP section. They are labeled 1rst or 2nd

2. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1xsw4GVYtNMJhiMXV2cR2jaJvToG_n6Pi
Knox Cleaner: Also flashed in using the AP section of Odin3

Good Luck and let me know if this helps or not.

Only if they could get into Recovery they may be able to reset it.
I have never once needed to go to Recovery to do "anything" before using Odin3 to flash.
The only time I've had to go there (repetedly) and reset was when trying to get past FRP Google Account Protection. Sometimes it takes out the page I want to get to and I need to reset it to get to it again. This is "not" always neccesary before flashing a ROM which rewrites the device programing.
sorry for double post

thanks for your help so far, i am gonna try your suggestions on weekend when i have a bit more spare time - hope i can get the tab running again
