At this point, it would be in pretty bad taste if it was. They let every other carrier beat them to the punch all ready. But, there is no sign it's being tested on their own update tracking site. Still says in development. So either that site is pointless, or they think an April fool's joke is not going to send everyone into a rage. I'm betting it will be soon but not Sunday. The guy on Twitter wasn't being very definitive about it and just said start checking late Sunday and "maybe" it will be ready.

The site is useless - I've noticed before that it isn't updated reliably, so don't trust it.
Considering it's not even in the t mobile testing phase, I'd say it's a joke.

What sucks for me right now is phone is acting up. Texts sent for person ends up sent to random others too. Alarm not going off and charger saying it's not connected correctly lately. I want to do a factory reset but I always do that with a major update. So I am have to wait.
Let's get on twitter and start bombarding @TmobileHelp!
Someone try forwarding the time in your settings as the day goes on. That used to work back in the day ?
This just now!
I wonder who handles the updates. Like whos servers? Tmobile or Samsung? Because if on a Sunday night it will be Monday morning in south korea which will likely be Samsung.
Ps. If it hits here at 8pm EST. It will be 9am SK time and that's there business hour start time. Which will mean they Samsung handle it.
Has anybody here with the Note 8 here in the USA actually received the update yet? Curious to see if this is really happening or if it's a bad joke considering all 3 of the other major US carriers have already updated their devices to oreo...
And yes I do realize that it's only 12:42pm eastern time so it's still early.

Yes I know T-Mobile is the last to release the update. And I genuinely hope that this is not some elaborate April fools joke either...
Frankly I'm kind of irritated that those of us who bought T-Mobile's most expensive Samsung phone are the last to get the update. You'd think that considering the Note 8 is the premium top end most expensive Samsung phone, they'd try to tailor to the people who spent the most money...

There you have it!
Taking that with a grain of salt. I read a Moment thread yesterday where Sprint told someone that patch CL14 would be out soon to fix the GPS on the Moment. (CL14 was an Android 1.4 patch for those not in the know)
Did you follow Samsung's link about the Epic? If so, what did it say? And could you post that as a URL instead of an image so we could follow the link too?
The link was something we all know how to do.
http://ars.samsung.com/customer/usa...ID=2&PROD_SUB_ID=557&PROD_ID=559&AT_ID=339667
Is anyone else a little worried that both of these images from Samsung contained glaring typos? I can't say I've ever gotten an email from tech support with typos in it, even using the chat client to talk to a Sprint rep online I've never seen typos.
And yet, the last one came from the Supprot team, and this one says "Wer are" in it.

Froyo is not due out this month for the US phones. Only for the international Galaxy S. There is no word at all on when the Epic will get Froyo.
The Sprint Epic Device team is aware of and has identified the issue with the GPS cache on the Epic. It is not addressed in the recent Di07 update. Di07 was on on test and ambassadors starting almost two weeks ago when device team had not even verified the issue never mind a getting a solution from Samsung. Froyo is not expected on optimistically on Epic until sometime in October (advocates/ambassadors have been told this) and the only date Sprint has said is in fact December.
The current workaround for Epic core GPS problem is to enable cold start as default. That is imperfect but ends the cache problem.
An official fix for GPS is not expected for weeks
Samsung Just Said it on their Facebook Page

I am having so much fun modifying my rooted phone and 2.1 that I don't even notice how long it's taking to get any OTAs or 2.2 for that matter.
I think having owned a G1 taught me a lot of patience. The Vibrant is a great phone, yes it may have it's bugs but it certainly can be an everyday smartphone even without the updates.
Take your time Samsung/T-mobile, as long as we have devs and hackers that work hard to help out the community I will be patient.

You people aren't going to be happy if they release it and its not ready. I would wait as long as it takes to get it and have no issues or less of them. You know if they release it before its good to go and you have some issues you will come back and complain. I would love to have it now just like everyone.

Great news for those Bell customers who have the following Android devices: Samsung Galaxy Tab, Samsung Galaxy S, HTC Incredible S, HTC Desire Z and the Motorola ATRIX… you all will be getting an upgrade to OS 2.3 Gingerbread this Summer. However, it seems that the Tab will be receive 2.3 today and the Galaxy S Vibrant will receive 2.3 sometime “Early Summer”, while the Incredible S will be graced with it “Mid Summer” and finally the others are pegged for “Late Summer”. Nice work.

CURSES! you beat me to the post! anyways, hopefully Bell will actually get it out by "late summer" (whenever that is) and hopefully they will unlock our bootloader.
The uk and us versions are deft coming out before that. Im planning on flashing the uk version anyways.
I'd be satisfied with an end of August release. But I'm really hoping the international carriers get a release sooner so we don't have to use 2nd init in it's current, unfortunately buggy fashion to get hackin' at that bootloader!
You know what though...its confirmation...not a rumor or a glimmer of hope....a confirmation that we in fact WILL be receiving a gingerbread update...and a general eta.
So im stoked!!! .....who's gunna be the first to start a pool for when it comes out? Aug, Sept or Oct???
I am throwing my bet in the pool for mid-November. "Q1 2011" for Froyo on Milestone ended up being April-June.

What i want to know is WHY they would withhold it from us. if they have it 100% done then why not release it and make your customers happy? It would make waaaay more sense to release it as soon as it is done then to wait. If its anything like Huawei was it'll be in a years time after we get Gingerbread working the way we want it.
Seriously. I think they stole the Froyo ROM we made and puked pink all over it to make T-Mobile happy.

Those forums were epic...
I've been finding a bunch of posts regarding when the Razr HD will be getting KitKat. We have been waiting a while, so I figured I'd make a tracking thread so everyone can know when KitKat is finally released.
The last piece of information we have really gotten came from David Schuster, senior director at Motorola Mobility in Illinois.
This post alone sparked a great many Android articles... Needlessly so, IMO
One G+ post fed:
Android Central
Into Mobile
Softpedia
Phone Arena
DroidLife
Seems I'm not the only one starving for some news.
me too I'd like to know when we'll receive kitkat...a question, i'm from Italy but i purchased my razr hd in Uk.
My version is 98.21.22003.xt925.CEE-Retail.en.EU..Will I receive the upgrade as well or the release is only for Verizon users?
David Schuster did say a couple of days ago that the "M and HD are in Verizon labs currently". And that "Labs" can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
It's in the same Google+ post linked in the OP. It's toward the bottom of the comments.

It still isn't clear weather a completed version is in their labs for testing and approval OR Moto's version was submitted to them for them to add bloat, test, fix, test, add more bloat, test, etc. I think once Verizon puts out a soak with their junk on it, then we may be getting truly close.
* This is only my interpretation on how this process is working and may be wrong.

MAYBE this is NOT related, but Motorola have scheduled an event on 13th may, the update may be announced then...
It's just a guess.

Sounds more hardware than software related. I doubt they'd hold an event (or waste time at one) to announce a software update for phones released back in '12. They didn't for the newer, more relevant phones, and with no other company calling an event to announce "we've released KK for you on XYZ phone" it would come off as very pompous.
...am curious to see what their next model phone is though...
So possibly the firmware will be released before the new phone comes out?

Everything is speculative with no real concrete evidence to back anything up. We know that it's likely to come out this month, but even that is not 100% certain.

I was thinking that they could announce the update with their new phone. With a big MAYBE. :fingers-crossed:
