Hi all,
I have a problem, my phone does not start.
*It loads normally
*I can access the System Recovery / Custom OS
I have tried to:
*wipe cache partition
*load dr.fone and access phone
pc connects but problem is USB debugging not enabled
another thing is that dr. fone does not support my model/build
I am a newbie / amateur to this kind of stuff, but I´m willing to try if it is possible to get my personal info out before going for factory reset.
Can anybody help me with this? What could be the problem behind this? Would it help to try to load an alternative OS through SD to get the phone live again? Does that wipe the memory too?
Is it possible to access memory without debugging enabled? I tried to launch ADB platform for WIN, but encountered problems. "adbwinapi.dll not found" or similar...
Please help, tomorrow is monday and I´ve got to work and without a phone I have serious problems.
Thanks in advance!
Kristian / FI
Have you try to flash the firmware with ODIN?
As you mention you can access recovery and wiped your phone
Try to get correct firmware for your device and flash it with ODIN(You have to enter download mode)
If this help you, press Thanks button!

Hi guys
I`ve got a major Problem Here. Please help!!
Me and a friend wanted to update my rooted Galaxy s4 from The unofficial to the official Kitkat Firmware. But The update failed. We tried again but still no succes. I didnt have enough space on my SD card. So I did a factory reset, installed twrp and let Odin install a small custom Rom. Odin succesfully installed it but Then I got stuck in The Boot screen. Probably I didnt turn on USB debugging
After days of surching The web I found out that I could change The rights for USB debugging over ADB tool. But i get stuck on The <su> command after entering <ADB shell>. The command cant be executed or something like that.
I then noticed that the root had gone with the factory reset. I installed that and now my PC (adb) wont recognize the phone anymore.
What should I do? Im still quite a noob so please dont critizise me if I missed something obvious.
Should I use ADB or is there a better sollution?
Please please help.
Hope that theres a sollution.

Do you have a custom recovery? Try to install it. I recommend CWM 6.0.4.6.
Later that, flash any flashable rom(remeber: correct model). Later flashing, reboot.

If you go to download mode and you can flash things via odin and it fails, it probably means that you have a defective usb port. Try another usb port and see if it solves the problem.

Hi Mate,
If is restarting all the time it looks like is in contant reset , check you power button , maybe is stuck
system protected
Today it turn on for 5 minutes and I connected it to my pc to access it folder, i tried to delete some files and i got the message that android cannot be deleted the system is write protected. I removed it from the pc and tried to delete in its file manager the files where deleted but they came back and again it started restarting. I think that's the reason why its failing to install a new rom because of the protection. What else can i try?
Hi, I have a S4 i9505 with a problem, screen broken and no display at all + usb debugging is disabled.
Phone: Not rooted, original software, usb debugging disabled, no display at all
What I want to achieve: restore all my photos / videos on the phone memory, no sd card
What I have attempted:
installed ADB & fastboot based on instructions from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2786395
What I need help with:
- When i try to get into recovery mode, i wasn't sure if i am indeed in there since i can't see anything, but in total there's a vibration when i turn on the phone, and another vibration when i release the power up+power+home after pressing them down for about 5 seconds.
- When in command prompt I type adb devices and there was none, and when i type adb shell it says error: device not found
I have ensured all drivers for my phone are installed (even with PdaNetA4180 & UniversalAdbDriverSetup6 from cynanogen) but the error remains. refer to attached image.
I have done extensive search on the forum but still couldn't find any ways to get usb debugging enabled on my crippled phone.
Any step by step guide would really be helpful! Thanks
Ps. Main problem = device not found in adb , usb debugging disabled, screen no display/cracked
What do you want? To recover files? To my knowledge that is not possible.
You would first need to flash a custom recovery for adb to work in recovery.
Then you would need to allow the connection on your device (which you can't do).
Yes I need to recover photos only. Nothing else.
Please kindly guide the steps on how to flash a custom recovery (w/o control of the phone's display or touch)
Thanks.
Your device is shown connected in windows
Why not use the mtp protocol and copy whatever you want
Hi, in the beginning, my phone is locked with a pattern pin.
I read the tutorials and managed to get away with the pattern pin by resetting my phone to factory settings via recovery mode i guess by watching youtube guide.
I didn't knew the photos and all will get deleted off from it, so there's nothing to transfer over when i got MTP working and able to access files inside the phone.
What do you recommend? Would fixing the screen and then using dr fone recovery works? or is there any other way to solve this without getting the phone display fixed? Thanks.
If the photos are deleted by the factory reset then i am sorry to day but you cannot recover them even if you get the screen fixed

Your photos are gone and there is no way to get them back.
Hi there, I´m newbie, I tried something and made a mistake. I´m asking for someone to help, because I don´t know way out.
My system is win10 and LG G2 D802 with kitkat. I tried to install lineageOs16 with the help of "https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/d802/install". I got pretty far, rooted the device and transmitted with adb "lineage-16.0-20200220-recovery-d802.img.". I do not know why, but then I was unable to put the device into recovery mode. So the error happened: I switched off USB debugging. When I got into recovery mode, I did system wipe. Now the device hangs in recovery mode from LineageOS 16.0 and I can't get out. I can only switch off the device. What can I do to activate the device again? Because I'm a beginner, I don't even have an idea in which direction to go or where to get help.
I would be grateful for any information or help
Thanks
Hello,
I erroneously deinstalled Magisk, thereafter device did not start... i got message "Your device is corrupt". Problem is that i do not have access via PC - so what can i do? Recovery and Fastboot work, but without access on PC i have no idea.
I appreciate any help, thanks in advance.

What device are you using to message here?
Also do you have twrp?
I'm sorry without a pc probably not much apart from a wipe.
Now maybe with some tricks you can get it to boot the other slot, back when I had a pixel enough failed boots switched slot.
Another rooted device might be able to work.
Any access to any devices? Old dead laptop's or netbooks you could boot Linux on?

Try to boot to safe mode
Hello,

You could try safe mode or even wiping system in recovery. Might work but you'll lose your apps (storage unaffected)
Not sure why uninstalling magisk would mean you can't boot?
You could keep trying to boot and it may switch to the other boot partition unless you flashed to both slots in which case it won't boot if a lack of the magisk app is preventing it.
If you have a pc and it's on Windows 10 then it should work, problem will be one of a few things.
Usb 3 instead of 2.
Port
Driver.
If when you connect it is there a new device in device manager? Might be in hidden, remove it if so then allow it to find it again and add the correct driver.
