Anyone else on the CRAP build and can't get Android Pay to work with tfl? Tried a few cards and non seem to work. Just wondered if it was just me. Works in shops fine.
I'll try this tomorrow and will let you know.
Works fine for me... just tried it on a bus.
It seems strange that it works in shops for you but not tfl...I would have thought that if it works with one contactless reader than it should work with all.
Tried it on the Underground and works fine for me, It's just abit slower to register on TFL that's all.
Cheers, I'll give another go next week.

I get a connection error when I try it. I have a cingular 8125. Any work arounds for this?
When it trys to connect push cancel and it will ask if you want to select another service. Click yes and choose "The Internet." If that doesn't work try different ones, depending on how you have your phone set-up.
Sorry buddy but google local doesn't go well with this phone. When I use google local it works but after about 2 minutes the program freezes. This started happenning when I updated to Google Local 1.24 or something like that. Anyone know where I can get the old version of Google Local? Does anyone have a fix for this?
this was posted over at Hofo:
map4pda.com
works very well. Has google and MS maps, plus traffic overlays. It tries to collect your phone number teh first time you run it, but I gave it a bogus # and it worked fine.
That sucks, google local is awesome. Do you use the smart phone version or the pda version?
Try ViaVirtualEarth. http://www.viavirtualearth.com/vve/Gallery/VEMobile.ashx
Yes, it is an MS service, but it does work pretty well!
I agree VirtualEarth works pretty well....
Google Local works pretty ... well, not well. Locks up wiith me also on all the phones I've set it up on.
I'll check out the map4pda.com, thanks!
Would love to find some kind of real time traffic app for this device! 5 hours commuting to get in and out of Miami sucks! (3,000 miles a month BLOWS!)
I've used both, and I must say google local owns all of them in my opinion. I just wish it worked for our phones. Is there any way to put a request through to get it?
I tried Map4PDA. It is a nice applicaton, but after a while of normal usage, such as browsing the maps, loading the satellite maps, it eats up nearly all the memory, just frozen. I tried couple of times, it seems that it always stuck with the less memory. Not sure how does it handle the memory, through .Net Mobile? I am using T-Mobile MDA, and I can see that the memory is full pretty quick, only 1M left, then the device hangs on Map4PDA.
Anyone has the similar experience?
Rigt, have downloaded navizon as it seems like a great program. But I can't seem to get the wifi discovery mode to work.
It finds cell towers perfectly, but I know there are two or 3 wifi points, one of which I am using now, and it jut doesn't pick them up!!
Is it a problem with the firmware I am running, can anyone who has got it to work let me know how they did it. My area is unmapped and I know I could earn a few $$$ by mapping all thw wifi points.
www.navizon.com
Cheers
Anyone?? I wanna earn some $$$
Anyone tried even using it on their JasJar, I would be interested to know if it works for you !>
Voice guided navigation software, FREE! The htc touch version works great on my titan.

I just got finally put on TomTom 7. Damn what an improvement. Worked out the bugs and the POI's are much better. But it also takes up 1.8 gb. Well worth it though.
Issue with Amaze
I would just like to say to anybody who installs this software must have gps/compatible rom and have quick gps installed. It works directly with quick gps for the agps feature. So if it says 'connection problem' then check to make sure quick gps is installed.
It worked fine for me and I don't have QuickGPS installed. I do have the aGPS enabled tho, so I get 10-15 second locks.

So far
I would have to say that it is no TT7 killer... not really close.
BUT!!!
A VERY nice app ESPECIALLY considering the price. If you are to factor in the price then it just might be competing with any software.
Not as intuitive/predictable as TT nor does it have the bells and whistles of predictive input and such nor is the GUI as well laid out... but again... my earlier statement stands

this being true....its great for being free
Quick gps
I don't know how to respond to that only that when I removed quick gps amaze stopped functioning, when I reinstalled it went right back to working. I get a lock on average in 3 seconds, never more than 5. Maybe it has something to do with St. Pete, I don't know. But I try to confuse it and start it in random places and it doesn't seem to phase it. Google maps takes always less than 10 seconds. Hey for those who are downloading amaze check out the hybrid feature, and then put the 3d map on. It is trippy having the sattellte images to drive through!!!
Apparently Hybrid maps aren't available everywhere, I live in a small town in SE Iowa and no satellite or hybrid maps show up.
But the normal maps are fine with me for now. Tho I only have 1X data, so I can't really use a GPS tool that relys on data as nobody can call me when I'm using it.
So TomTom and Igo still are my preferred tools. But this one is definately cool and I'll probably use it late at night or when I don't want to be disturbed.

Solution
Here's what you do: come down here to tampa where the water is fine, the *****es are finer, and the amaze gps thrives and you can drive through a 3 dimensional satallite enhanced map.
P.S. I use call firewall when using gps. No body is that important to interupt my data connection.
This program is pretty good for a freebie.
Really Nice!!
can't believe its free cause it works...
I am runnng the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=424387 and amAze runs great.. drove to work with it, intentionally took different roads and it adapted pretty quick..
thanks for the great find..........
Can't really argue with a free gps program and i also am running it really well without quick gps installed.
Free?
Can you be sure? How do the people who developed it recover their investment? Is there any way to be certain that you won't be sending any information from your phone that could cause trouble for you later on?
I get suspicious when someone offers something for free that everyone else is charging (close to three figures) for their similar product. If the method they make money from were more obvious, then I would feel a little more confidant that I would not be sorry later on, because they would be jeopardizing an income stream and a possibly successful business if they were somehow found to be "cheating".
It's documented on their website that they recoup their investment through built-in, targeted advertising. This feature is not yet implemented in the Windows Mobile version, but is quite active in the Java based versions of the app that have been around for about a year.

Quite the newb here. I'm running Amaze GPS on my HTC Raphael (ATT Fuze). Too cheap to buy data plan. I flashed to NATFv4, trying to (may not be doing it correctly) use GPS Tool to get a fix, but it seems to be looping infinitely. Consequently, I can't get Amaze to work. Any help appreciated.
Sorry to dissapoint
Amaze is a strictly internet map driven navigation software. No data plan no gps. Invest in IGo or garmin.
Hi. i was wondering if anyone can help me out. i have the Spectec Mini SD WiFi card (SDW822 Mini SD, 802.11b standard). The card worked real well and now 6months later, it doesn't work. This is what i mean. anyone who uses it sees a green blinking light on its antenna and the device "sees" a hotspot and asks if i want to connect to it. Now, the light only blinks as if it is finding the correct setting, but doesn't pick up on a WiFi signal at all. Even sitting at my university in a "hotspot" in my student center, the card doesn't seem to be picking up the signal at all even though the appears the card is operational (the blinking green light).
i am not sure what to make of it, like if there is something busted inside the card or not, or is it my actual device (even though it worked for 6 months, why it doesn't work not i have no clue). i tried installing the drivers again, and even installing the latest driver provided by Spectec. nothing works though nor was their support much help (they just answered to uninstall and then reinstall the drivers but duh, i already knew that lol). can anyone let me know a solution like if i need to buy a new one or not? i miss having the WiFi on my ppc/phone and i don't have an unlimited data plan, plus even if i did, GPRS is painfully slow.
if this helps, my phone is an E-TEN G500 running Windows Mobile 5.0 (AKU 1.1.4). i hope i can hear a response soon. i may just end up having to buy a new one but i would like to hear anyone's thoughts. i hope you guys can help me!
by the way, i don't think it is my SD card port b/c i can still use any other card that i put in the slot with no problems like my GPS and the card i use to store my music and such.
Does anyone have anything to say? i tried their support again and still told me the same thing from their automated e-mail then send out and its really frustrating. even more so, no one has been able to say anything about to respond to this thread. please let me know anything that could lead me to a solution. i dont want ot have to buy another card to see if it works or not.
I guess no one wants to help me i guess these forums are useless if no one wants to help one another. i was hoping this would be a simple solution. i am gonna have to buy another card and see if it is my original card or if it is my device. i even upgraded the OS to AKU 2.2 but still nothing with my original card.
thanks everyone for your help
After many hours struggling to get Copilot 8 working I have made the following strange discovery: It works perfectly anywhere except in my house. In the house I get a clear satellite signal, it locates me perfectly but if I input a destination it crashes out every time and generates a Microsoft report the error report. Once I leave the house and go anywhere else it works like a dream. Can anyone explain??
