Why there's no dedicated thread for A Series? - Galaxy A3, A5, A7, A8, A9 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

I've had various Android phones with me since 2009, however, I find this a little bit weird as the Galaxy A Series phones don't have a dedicated thread for individual models.
So, finding new posts about rom developments and others is not quite easy as with other devices.
Hence, can anybody explain why there's a single thread for A3, A5, A7 & A8 all in one place?
Also, why is it that there's so less options for custom roms for these devices?
Is there any chance that we'll receive a lineage 15 based rom for our devices? I ask because Samsung seems to be too slow with the official updates.

Depending on which device you have, there is a lineage 15 and 15.1 for the A5 2015.
I'm currently using it on my SM A500FU
I have to disagree with your statement, there are dozens of custom ROMs for the A5 2015.
As you haven't said which device you have, I don't know if that information is relevant to you or not.

The device I own is A5 2017, model number SM A520F. I really appreciate your effort to help me out with my query but it still doesn't answer why we don't have a dedicated thread for individual models as it is with other phones.
For example, Motorola had few devices under the Moto G series. Mine was Moto G 1st generation.
It was very easy to follow the new posts and developments as it had a separate thread under "falcon". The code name used for Moto G 1st Gen.

There is a support thread in this section explaining that the A 2015 and A 2016 devices had all been put into one section simply because there's hardly any difference between the two ranges, but I will agree some stuff is just a little difficult to follow.
For instance, the lineage 15.1 ROM for the A5 2015 (SM A500FU) was never put in its own dedicated thread, rather it was mentioned in a discontinued ROM thread, and as there is now no current active dev working on Oreo LOS 15.1 for the A5 2015, that ROM was also discontinued a few days ago.
It might be a pain, but I find it easier to go through all the sections and hit subscribe for all the relevant ROMs and development for the A5 2015 and that's then all I see I don't have to trawl through other irrelevant devices to get the ROM/support/development thread I need.

MOTO G 2014 Device need devs

Hey everyone out here .I wanna request the devs of this device to please look forward in building roms for moto g 2014 .
A month after the release only a single rom is been seen......hope there is someone who can look into the forum of moto g2
Pointless thread.
I don't know anything about Moto G 2014, from source perspective, but are they released the sources for different things for the device? Or are you here to call out the devs for making wonders in a land without source code?
Also, I remember when I got my Moto G 2013, first, there wasn't even a proper custom recovery image out there, only the superboot from MoDaCo, so patience my friend.
I agree there's no point in begging for developement. People will build if they want and when they want.
I agree dude but there's big difference between begging and requesting.
I now just came to know about the kernel sources not being released ...so devs might close the thread for good.
Thanks for replies friends.

Moto G 2014 will see custom roms after kernel source and lollipop release. Like others stated show some patience. In the meantime you can root and install xposed framework.

Question: who here would like an official lineageOS Nougat build?

Question: who here would like an official lineageOS Nougat build for all variants of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4?
Just want to see if its worth the devs time if there are any devs out there that will maintain this device.
+1

There are already several Nougats builds for F/G/V variants in the Devs threads mate and many users are using/testing them. I'm not sure that you will get any "No" in your poll

But are they official? and what about other variants? What I'm asking is an official all-in-one universal that supports all of the variants.
Im sure theres more then 4 people and myself who would like an official build. Kinda sounds like your comments just make this poll bad and thats why only 4 people and myself voted. Your post makes it sound they they are official when not.
My note 4 is only 7 months old and was Manufactured August 2015 so this device is not really 2 years old and As Samsung was making them still in half way through 2015. Am i the only one who loves this device more then any newest samsung devices? I mean it beats the note 1,2.3,5,6,7 and also s models.
A unified build is planned: [DEV][trlte] Unified LineageOS device tree for Snapdragon Note4.
In the meantime, see my signature for daily builds of 4 trlte variants, which correspond to 7 model variants.

[request] Possible LineageOS 14 port fot htc one m9+

Hey guys. So I found this rom wich says it's a lineageOS 14 version for MTK6795t a.k.a helios x10.
I'm rather new at mediatek devices and i don't have enough knowledge to run a test but i was wondering if it was viable for porting to the one m9+.

Anyway, thanks.
It's kinda sad to have to go through such great lengths only to be able to keep your phone updated. Guess it's the last mtk device i'll buy

Resurrection Remix for kernel

I need a kernel for Resurrection Remix 5.8.3, but I can not find the proper kernel and the synergy kernel did not work either
...
I'm also looking for the Kernel following upgrading to the latest version. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Confused which kernel ??
Kernels usually come with the rom or a linked in the roms thread >> found via search thread tab.
Or as a thread in development for individual kernels.
Your post lacks information as this thread relates to sept 2017 not today ,so a guess.

Hmm...I have a distinct feeling that this post is relating to the fact that the OP's phone is unable to boot the later Resurrection Remix OS's, due to the fact that they are one of the 'unlucky ones' with kernel issues on their Note 3, like myself. @JJEgan knows what I am talking about. I suggest that the OP reads the last fifteen or so pages of this thread - https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...rp-3-2-1-1-t3746760/post77193256#post77193256
I may be wrong, and you might not have this problem with your phone. It's just a hunch. If I am right though, I will say to you that at this moment in time, the case remains UNSOLVED, as nobody currently seems to know what the issue is.
I have made developers on here aware of it, such as @ashyx , @bigbiff and @ripee

Best custom ROMs for LG G4?

Hi, guys!
I saw there is already a thread about this, but it is quite outdated so I decided to start a new one. So since there would most probably NOT be an update to Nougat for our phones, I plan installing a custom rom, but since I am a newbie in this field I decided to ask for opinions. Honestly I am mostly attracted by the LineageOS 14.1/15 as successor of the CM, but there may be better options. I found some threads about LineageOS 15 been released but the link for our phones has been removed, reasons unknown. The 14.1 seems quite stable and with good reviews. But nevertheless please share your experience with any custom roms that you have, also please share whether G4 specific features like the double tap to lock/unlock the screen work with it?
If relevant I have a h815 model.
Thank you,
It is personal. You can ask that what do you use custom rom or why do you use LOS etc.
You will get more answers like this way.

On h815, there's an 8.1 rom (aoscp)
